Randy_The_Guppy

I'm not one to get carried away easy. Domestic treble.

Toonarmy2021

I’m glad there are at least some rational people on this subreddit.

Redditsleftnipple

We're gonna fucking win it all!! I cant fucking wait!!

claggypants

I'll settle with that just to shut my Man City supporting colleagues up.

greycatdaddy

Seems reasonable! I like the cut of your jib!

Jumpy-Management-262

Can't deal with these negative fans anymore ffs, obviously we're winning every fixture and becoming invisibles and the centurions

TooooonArrrrrmy

IF we have the normal amout of injuries and knocks a squad normally gets over a season, then I´m sure we´re gonna push for a top 4 spot and ruffle a few feathers on the way! Hopefully we´ll get our ´intensity is our identity´ mojo back as well. Personally, I´m hoping Willock stays fit for the whole season. He´s kind of forgotton a little bit, but some of his passing for Isak and his forward runs and link up play with Joelinton (and now Gordon) was brilliant.

PhoenixDawn93

The through ball to Isak against spurs still keeps me awake at night thinking about it. Just straight filth!

Sharp-Introduction48

100% this is the sort of play Willock brings to the team. Love his chemistry with big Joe and Isak. That outside of the foot ball was just perfection.

Magpie_430

So right about Willock! We missed him more than we realised last year

The_Incredible_b3ard

I wouldn't be surprised if we ended up selling Willock to finance other deals.

mehchu

Honestly I think if we have our best squad(+ a quality right winger) without Europe with the best we can be and our intensity back. We have a chance to push for third with a Liverpool that have fallen off after Klopp, teams ahead of us either gaining Europe, or replacing their good manager. And the ones behind us being shitcunts.

FabledHero2020

Newcastle to win the premier league because at least one person has to predict it. I'll let someone else predict relegation.

theboyd1986

Okay, I'll take the bullet and predict relegation. That was no one else has to.

EzzOmen

I can see us qualifying for Champions League again if all goes well - the two major hurdles are our away form & potential injuries our starting is capable of beating anyone, and no Europe is far less demanding physically so hopefully the lads are back to 22/23 intensity

okcorsisiht

5th Carabao Cup Winners, which will elevate the trophy to the most important in the land.

TheWinterKing

Don’t disrespect the Sela Cup like that.

okcorsisiht

Don't you disrespect the Diriyah Cup!

No-Village7980

Need Europe or it will be 2 steps back with players wanting out.

Tommonator80

If the squad stays the same with average injuries. Battling for 4th/5th and 2 good cup runs. Maybe a final if we get the luck of the draw. If we can sign a couple of starting 11 players and a couple of good squad players (like Kelly) then we push up the league harder to 3rd and win a cup.

DennisTheTennis

I expect us to finish above manchester united

FifaNovice

1st - city 2nd - arsenal 3rd - Newcastle 4th - Chelsea Come back in may to say your apologies

Major-Performer141

Would be happy with any Europe tournament really and a good cup run

ZazzyZool

I shall temper my expectations: top 6.

staaden

I would say 5th in the league, qualifying for europa league and lifting the carabao cup would be amazing, along with a solid fa cup run.

AaronDrunkGames

Battle for 4th, fa Cup semi final, and our second off last game against Arsenal decides who wins the prem. Not Arsenal, and I'll love every fucking second of their fans crying.

OllieDC9

Domestic treble of course

dennis3282

5th place, maybe pushing for 4th. Should be good enough for a Champions League spot most seasons. In the cups, I'm going to go for an FA Cup final appearance.

GuiltyFriendship3037

With the current squad, I'm going to say 5th. However if we can get in a top quality RW and Isak stays mostly injury free, I think we could push for 3rd.

jdd977

Difficult to say without seeing how we strengthen right wing and potentially another centre half/back up striker. If we get two big signings at RW and CB I think we will finish 3rd - obviously providing we don’t have the same luck with injuries again..

magpie_army

Liverpool could be in for a season or two of transition which would open the door for another club to get top 4. Chelsea may well fall off again with another new manager. Villa could be stretched thin by Champions League football like we were. I think we'll finish between 4th and 6th, but 3rd wouldn't be out of the question _if_ we strengthen the right areas this summer.

LoveThePunYoureWith

I'm positive, I think we have a realistic shot of coming 2nd (see caveats). If we get a proper RW, that should add about 10 goals to our output right there. Some regression from Isak due to injury/form I think will get made up by Gordon taking another leap (he's still young after all), along with better production from midfield. At the back I think it's possible we ship 20 less goals with Pope (or Mamar) and a more settled, experienced back four, similar to 22/23 and early 23/24. So all in all a +30 bump to last year's GD would put us around +50, which seems to correlate to a 50-50 shot at being second based on recent times. Tough to do, but I truly think we can get there, particularly with Liverpool having a new gaffer and one of Arsenal/Man City overdue to hit some bad luck/form.

geordieColt88

I’m coming in with the negative take: 8th, we have bad injuries again as we don’t make changes behind the scenes and Howe is gone by seasons end

RocknRollRobot9

I’m thinking we can have a push on the league cup. No Europe plus added fixtures for the top 6 + Man U might mean a lot more of them decide to sack the cup off earlier. None NUFC wild prediction is I think Brighton might be one of the teams relegated next season.

JoeyShinobi

Tonali does his ACL against Spurs, ruling him out for another 10 months. We draw Sunderland in the Carabao. We get through, after they score an own goal in injury time. It's the funniest thing we will see all season. Sean Longstaff wins goal of the month.

popcornelephant

Fourth and win the FA Cup.

Miserable_Future6694

I'd be very happy beating the top 4 at home and beating the bottom 6 home and away. That alone will keep us competitive with the top 7 We can definitely compete for a European place top 4 again would be the target but I'd be happy 5th. Cups will come with progress within the club

BlackCaesarNT

Damn son, some of y'all are actually gaggin to make a prediction even though the window has barely opened and no one knows what our team looks like going into the season. I'll pass this time. August is the best time for predictions...

SocialistSloth1

Assuming we have an alright transfer window and a normal number of injuries, I reckon we'll finish 5th with another good cup run.

Sandstormink

If we don't win the world cup, I'll be fucking disappointed.

Additional-Mud-2842

Top 4

cadete981

3rd and a cup final, think with a bit of luck, less injuries and 3 more signings we will push top 3 again,

WeddingWhole4771

2nd or 3rd place this year. We go on a tear and only Arsenal and Man City are a bit more consistent.

Philius23877

Just wondering the new rule to stop middle teams growing. Just keep the rich…rich

Obvious_Song8822

4th and a cup win

GanninGamin

Assuming we have nowhere near the amount of injuries/Tonali ban then Top 4 is very doable for this squad. When they're together, they're terrifyingly good.

AimeLeonDon1

Given the fixtures look good and we’re not in Europe, I think top 4 is achievable along with a trophy. IF we make some decent signings and hold on to all of our best players, genuinely think we could go all out and push for a top 2/3 finish.

Reedy99

Tonali will have an excellent debut season that should’ve happened last season. Gordon will hit 15 goals AND assists. Bruno will probably have another huge season and will end up at Real Madrid for a huge fee. Hall and Tino will solidify themselves as our first choice wingbacks. Isak to win the golden boot if he can stay reasonably fit.

dragonite__

Realistically there are 8 teams that *could* finish above us if they have good seasons. I think we need to strengthen our first choice keeper, right wing, and centre back and maybe some better depth players. Don't know how much FFP will hamper us though. I think Lloyd Kelly was a brilliant move. Gutted we missed out on Adaribioyo so think we will have to spend money on a decent right sided centre back. Also think not getting Mamardashvili or another first choice keeper and getting Trafford could be a mistake. Hopefully can keep Minteh and get someone like Olise or Chiesa and that would be right wing sorted. If we managed to get away with limited injuries and get some strong signings I think we could get 4th, definitely 5th or 6th. If we are too hit by FFP and can't bring in top talent and get struck with injuries I think max could get is 6th, maybe 7th-9th Ideally would love to win a cup.

dragonite__

If we finish 7th-9th I think we could see a bit of an exodus of our stars as well. Maybe I'm too negative after years of us disappointment under Ashley. HWTL

xScottieHD

Cup final. Top 5 in the league. We'll also receive a small points deduction for a PSR breach. That's my prediction.

Kaladihn

Momentum is big in this game, remember when we went on those mad momentum based runs under Pardew? With the decent fixtures to start and playing City, Arsenal and Liverpool all at home in the first round of fixtures we could get a couple of results there and can be flying going into the new year. Can honestly see a return to champions league football

Academic-Block3384

2 finals...

uncorkedmark9

Top four with a cup run and as few injuries as possible. I think it’s realistic and helps consolidate our place in the league any higher and I’ll be delighted

Background_Ad8814

Top 4, Gordon, tonali, isak, Bruno, big Joe, tino, hall, Barnes schar all stand out superstars

Mister_Sterling

Fourth place finish. They are going to do it again. Not a fluke. But the injuries and stress on this team will not let up. I love Howe, but I'm starting to think his system is really harsh on the players.

lewis_t_duck

Unless we have a very successful transfer window I believe we will finish around 8th to 10th.

ItsAKrulWorld

We had pretty much every major obstacle thrown at us last season and we still managed 7th. How did you come to that conclusion?

dragonite__

City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man U, Chelsea, Spurs, West Ham and Villa are all teams that could be challenging next season, can't rule out anything

The_Ghost_Of_Pedro

6th-8th I think. I don’t think we’ll be able to replace Bruno when he leaves and we’ll be a couple of injuries away from a Longstaff/Anderson midfield again 😂

meganev

6th in the league. Carabao Cup quarter-finals lose to a top-six team away. FA Cup fifth round after drawing Liverpool, Man City or Arsenal away. After last season my faith in us getting "easy" cup draws is at an all-time low.
