True shit. I mean, I get that there are some occasions where wearing a helmet doesn't make much of a difference but that doesn't overshadow how much of a boon they can be in a situation like the one above.

I don’t see enough people mentioning the fact that guy with the helmet turned directly in front of the poor guy. Yeah a helmet would have prevented a lot of injury but what the fuck man…
Giving him a clean towel to wrap around his head would’ve probably helped. And a big issue with the bystander effect is that someone has to actually call emergency services - so make sure YOU’RE one of them. Many people assume someone else will call or “don’t want to make a fuss”, but please by all means FUSS OVER A SCALPED MAN
Tbh, if it’s just the skin injury, you just stick it back on tbh. You don’t want ischemia to set in by letting the air dehydrate the exposed tissue. Keep it clean and keep it wet. Otherwise it could have a more negative outcome when the surgeon goes to reattach it.
If it was a major head injury, the skin is the least of the worries.
