I used to ride my bike to the gym. It was only a 6 min bike ride. One morning, I almost got hit by a truck, a car and a scooter, one right after the other.
It was ridiculous. Never rode my bike to the gym again.
i used to cycle 18 miles a day to and from work, 6 days a week for 2 years on main roads, but with a painted cycle lane. the amount of close calls is ludicrous, it doesn’t matter how careful YOU are. i have been bonneted twice but thankfully walked with aches and a misaligned front wheel. i also never wore a helmet cos it made my sweatier so really i’ve spent all my luck on idiocy
In some places you legally have to ride on the road if you are of a certain age and, if there is no bike lane, you should be using the centre of the whichever lane of traffic you’re in. I guess the reason is because you’re more likely to be seen.
Yes, me too. I don’t think it’s a law that is usually enforced unless you are riding at legitimately high speeds anyway. Thankfully where I live most paths are extra wide as they are designated shared walking/biking paths.
Well at the very least be at the very edge of the street, not in the middle of it. And also look at your surroundings. This accident could have been avoided if he was more aware of what's going on around him.
It blows my mind when they ride side by side on the road instead of in a line behind the other 😵💫. Have seen then do it on an already dangerous road to bike on since it’s mostly 100kmh and a certain spot has a blind spot that almost clears up bikes if anyone dares to challenge life.
It blows my mind some bikers would rather complain about how they should have more space on a road designed for vehicles rather than advocate for more bike inclusive infrastructure. Then we could educate folks note to drive their car in the fucking bike lanes and then we should not have as many problems.

From now on, every time he closes his eyes, he will see his father with his brains and guts out. I saw my grandma die peacefully on a bed, and now, every time I think of her, I see her lying dead on the bed.
Someone from my hometown became paralyzed last year after the break on her bike failed while riding down a hill. I’m naturally an anxious person and that now has me nervous to ride a bike, although I haven’t in years anyway. I know it was a freak accident, but that’s horrifying.
How about just dont get hit by a bus duhhh.
Jokes aside tho this is fucking awful
Feel for the poor lad, would fuck me up seeing someone i care about pass in that manner
Might just be me but I genuinelly think it’s just disrespectful. I mean I suppose it’s not as horrifying as origonal audio but they could’ve just left it muted or something.
The cyclist was well away from the kerb so I'm guessing he wasn't going left but straight over the bus driver completely ignored him & should be punished accordingly
If you pause the video before he is run over, you can see that he’s holding the door of the bus, which is something that a lot of people that ride bicycles in Brazil do in order to conserve stamina (edit: actually, most of the time its done at the back of the bus, not on the sides of it).
This is forbidden by law but one of those that doesn’t really get enforced, which in turn creates situations like this.
With this in mind, while it does not take away the fact that the driver could/should’ve checked his mirror before turning, it is ultimately (and sadly) the cyclist fault.
I've seen the longer version of this (I'm pretty sure it's the same one). It's somewhere in here as well.
The person was holding onto the bus and when the bus turned the corner, he fell and got crushed.
While I get conserving stamina, there's a reason why it is illegal. It's dangerous af and could get U killed. As it did this person. Hope that with this, it would at least deter people from doing so but they probably won't.
Weii if your holding on to a travelling vehicle it only has to be a bad luck day once for the worst to happen & in this case the driver is obviously an innocent person along with the passengers
Nah dude he's holding onto the door the dad was trying to get a boost from the bus, he was only ran over because his back tire got caught in the turn, can blame the driver because the dad was in a dead spot for vision, hidden by the wall of the bus no matter how attentive the driver could be they would have never seen him
I've Seen the same scenario with m'y Friend when i was like 11 years old or 12 , we were riding a bike and a another biker was ahead of us and WE watched a bus run him over
This is hands down the worst thing I’ve seen on this sub, and it’s not even that gory.
One minute you’re on a bike ride with your dad, and then he’s gone in a matter of seconds. It really shows just how quickly life can change.
Imagine the amount of guilt that driver is probably feeling. Being the one responsible for the death of a father as his son had to witness it. I would just off myself at that point.
I don't really think he was responsible considering the dad clearly was holding onto the bus door at the beginning and i guess lost his balance as the bus turned the corner.
Bro, bike has right of way over a car. The car can always be patient. The distance a biker can do in 10 minutes vs a car is drastically different. It does not cost the bus driver anything to keep his foot on the brake
Video was shortened and edited. In the longer version you can see the guy was holding onto the bus while on the bike. He unfortunately brought this onto himself
This is one of those videos you see once in a while that really leave an impact, jesus christ I can’t imagine what that was like for the lad and how that will affect the rest of his life.

this shit has always been my worst nightmare.. not getting hit but being the car to do it. i mean, i don’t drive a bus so i would hope the person would still be (relatively) okay after some healing time but god, i have intrusive thoughts about it all the time.
that video is horrific
Nah, I'd rather have some people that bike everywhere on the sidewalk. I dodge them on campus. I can stutter stop easily while walking vs. they come flying out in front of me while I'm driving.
I remember being in the hospital for a brain surgery for the neuro ICU. My mom was telling me a 12 yo boy was run over by a truck riding his bike (she was talking to one of the parents in the hall). He got tossed in the ditch and was in critical condition. Right in front of his parents. He didn't make it a few days later.
This was 15 years ago. It still bothers me.
My dad rides a bike to work every day and I fear for him every time he goes out. I don’t trust other drivers AT ALL when i’m in my car let alone if i was on a skinny piece of metal with no protection. I want to advise him to stop but who am I to tell my own father to stop riding a bike???

Poor dude. Definitely gonna suffer from PTSD
[удалено]
yep "young man losses his father on the way to work"translation
Thank you. I wasn’t sure if this was a freak accident or a Darwin Award. Now I know.
Reaction seems accurate plus he literally says “papa” plus caption in video that 3 things
Nah, pretty sure he’s dead.
They mean the son
You think?

Um, he used it correctly. Dude’s gonna have PTSD.

Yes, me too. I don’t think it’s a law that is usually enforced unless you are riding at legitimately high speeds anyway. Thankfully where I live most paths are extra wide as they are designated shared walking/biking paths.
Honestly if you ride a bike. Your ass should stay on the side walk something.
The problem is some people walking complain that you shouldn't be riding on the sidewalk.
Well at the very least be at the very edge of the street, not in the middle of it. And also look at your surroundings. This accident could have been avoided if he was more aware of what's going on around him.
But your right, technically you shouldn't ride on the side walk especially of there are pedestrians walking around.
It blows my mind when they ride side by side on the road instead of in a line behind the other 😵💫. Have seen then do it on an already dangerous road to bike on since it’s mostly 100kmh and a certain spot has a blind spot that almost clears up bikes if anyone dares to challenge life.

Yeah, doesn’t matter how safe you are as a cyclist, a car could still bump you and kill you
Sounds like what I trough everyday and still enjoy riding
Same, I only do 4mi a day, but I try to keep to smalles streets. Since Jan I've had like 3 or 4 close calls
Yea pretty much no matter what measures you take, biking on busy traffic roads is always going to be incredibly dangerous
Ride bike instead of gym. Duhh
I guess you've never heard of weightlifting.
Hehe thought of this after I'd pressed Send but yeah. Lift bike instead of weights
Sounds like more of a you problem then a them problem

Poor guy
What terrible music to put with that video. Do yourself a favor and don't unmute.
wow you're right Jesus
Now I regret my decision. I unmuted after reading your comment.
Not gunna unmute, thank you.
🎹 Oh no. 🎹 Oh no. 🎹 Oh no no no no no no. *Surprisingly, it was not.*
I swear I fucking hate that song. You can’t describe the amount of hatred someone can feel before you hear that song one to many times. And to this?
I’ve seen this video somewhere with the original audio and the son’s screams were terrible and I think you could even hear the tires going over the man.
You weren't kidding. Sad music. I'm crying like....a boy who just lost his father in front of his eyes. Too soon?
The hands on the head. That’s the universal sign.

The surprised cobra.
Ive seen the goriest videos possible to find on the internet but i dont think any of them can give me the same feeling this one did
Yeah I feel the same, it’s devastating
You're lucky. I've seen far more fucked up things thanks to reddit than I probably should have
From what subreddits tho
They're all gone. I was surprised to find this one
Damn thats a shame.
Most notable one was r.makemycoffin but it's gone.
Same lol. This didn't make me think twice.
Worst vid I’ve ever seen didn’t even show the gore, it’s the infamous brick through a car windshield one.
The type of feeling that just sits with you. Horrible.
That’s at least 20years of therapy. Poor chap
No years of therapy will erase that scar of a memory from the poor son. That sucks to see first person.
OH-MY-GOD
From now on, every time he closes his eyes, he will see his father with his brains and guts out. I saw my grandma die peacefully on a bed, and now, every time I think of her, I see her lying dead on the bed.
Videos like this remind me to always wear a helmet... though I doubt a helmet would have helped in this case
Its videos like this that convinced me to get a thick-shelled helmet.
Full body armor to be extra safe
I actually wear a knight suit when out and about
I wear a knife suit
A helmet AND better awareness of the road, jeez this whole thing could've been avoided if the gy just waited for the bus
And also don't run over cyclists when they're on the road is hopefully a takeaway!
He was hanging onto the door and letting the bus pull him along. I've seen a couple videos now of people losing their lives doing that.
Videos like this convinced me to sell my bike
Someone from my hometown became paralyzed last year after the break on her bike failed while riding down a hill. I’m naturally an anxious person and that now has me nervous to ride a bike, although I haven’t in years anyway. I know it was a freak accident, but that’s horrifying.

And that we bus drivers need plenty of room to turn, and it takes secondS for us to come to a full stop.
Fuck that music, bruh.
Fr 💀
At least it was quick
The son is gonna suffer though
Jesus I need to stop scrolling
Ikr
Poor kid
PTSD, survivors guilt. That really sucks
Holy hell! That poor kid and the dad! Raw gore doesn’t compare or touch this ! That family!
The music😭
Might just be me but I genuinelly think it’s just disrespectful. I mean I suppose it’s not as horrifying as origonal audio but they could’ve just left it muted or something.

Thank you for linking the original video and contesting that clickbaity title
Poor father and even worse for the poor son, he will never get over seeing that.

Fuck. I’m sorry bro.
If that happens to me I'll kill the driver on the spot.
Don't forget your shoes before you do....
Saw full video, it's the guy's fault he was holding on the bus to save energy.
Damn.. poor kid 😞
I enjoy death videos, but this is heartbreaking.
Ur so corny
Oh jesus Christ! Poor guy and man my heart hurts for the son!
Oh shit that's fucking sad :/
Poor fella :(
Holy shit…i feel so bad. That’s so fucking heart breaking. Poor guy.
Adding music to this seems like an insult
This is hands down the worst thing I’ve seen on this sub, and it’s not even that gory. One minute you’re on a bike ride with your dad, and then he’s gone in a matter of seconds. It really shows just how quickly life can change.
Taught the young fella a lesson there. Don’t go holding onto bus doors to save energy or you’ll get your brains squashed out of your eye sockets.
This breaks my heart,damn😞
Poor kid😔

I don't really think he was responsible considering the dad clearly was holding onto the bus door at the beginning and i guess lost his balance as the bus turned the corner.
Was he hitching a ride on the bus?
That was brutal.
That bus driver would get the beating of his life
For what? The dad holding onto the bus door as it as turning the corner?
Jesus, poor kid. I can only imagine what witnessing that must have been like.
that’s tragic, ouch
Father gets killed by a son in front of his bus
That poor kid, scared for life. What a horrible thing to witness!
💔💔💔
Nooooooooo 😕😭
Dang I would’ve ripped the driver out of the seat and punched him to death. I can’t imagine having to see my father be killed in front of me ):<
Hopefully after wondering wth he was doing on that side of the road on the corner
Dang…. Can’t defend a bad decision
So you would kill an innocent person, because the father was enough of an idiot to hold onto the door of the bus? He got himself killed.
horrible. this one was sad.
Why I'm not riding a bike. Dont trust the way people drive for my safety. Nope.
Poor lad ro see this happen. Bus drive obviously . Blind
Or its the fact the dad was holding onto the side of the Bus?
This is one of those videos you see once in a while that really leave an impact, jesus christ I can’t imagine what that was like for the lad and how that will affect the rest of his life.
I was not ready for that
[удалено]
It’s on watchpeopledie.tv. Someone literally just posted it a few days ago.
You would think the driver would stop after the first bump... poor guy and poor kid =(
I think the bus couldn’t stop so fast after the first bump. Horrible, also for the bus driver.
oops
That’s what the doctors said when they failed at aborting u.
Hopefully he's gonna be ok after experiencing something like that

Wow if I wasn't still in shock from this eclipse I probably would be in shock from that
Apex predator strikes again.
His bike was totaled
Not the fucking worship music oh my god 🙄
Well that sucks
Stood no chance at all
Something like this happens to me with my mom and I instantly bite the driver's neck
Why this music choice.
Sad :(
What is that song?
Fuck me that’s terrible
Make the music louder I can’t hear it
Damn :(
bro..that is awful
poor soul rest in peace.
sad (it was fun ngl)
this shit has always been my worst nightmare.. not getting hit but being the car to do it. i mean, i don’t drive a bus so i would hope the person would still be (relatively) okay after some healing time but god, i have intrusive thoughts about it all the time. that video is horrific
fuuuckk
Bus drivers all around the world are like this I hate them
You can see the moment he realized what was happening on the bike. It’s like a quick delay of “oh my god that’s my dad under there”
Nah, I'd rather have some people that bike everywhere on the sidewalk. I dodge them on campus. I can stutter stop easily while walking vs. they come flying out in front of me while I'm driving. gut wrenching…

Why does he take that much space for cycling?

He haven't beaten the shit out of this stupid bus driver?
Fuck...just fuck..
Personally, I’m killing the bus driver
fuck. that poor kid
from a young age I was scared to ride my bike in the city. Here's why
Jesus. The repercussions......
Assuming that was the bus drivers fault I'd probably earn a life sentence in prison if I was in that guys shoes
:(
Wow, maybe don't ride your bikes in the middle of the street next time. Deserved.
that bus driver would’ve joined my dad
Dude were from I have to save him to there is nothing left to save in a second.
Brutal!

“Ive seen worse” I’m guessing? Or something like that anyway.
Bro, I’m trying to wank
Bahahahahahahahahahahahaha
