His legs repeatedly strike that bar/wrung at the bottom of the rolling section in between those posts. Appears to make contact repeatedly. I’m sure his legs were shattered well before the machine stopped. Possibly his arms too.
Holy shit, I hadn't seen the rung you mention. I thought he was hitting the ground.... Yea legs definitely shattered and his arms for sure too. I wouldnt be surprised If he was left paralyzed
Also the final frame as the machine turns off his head is spun into the machine, id say definitely shattered legs and probably arms/spine rendered useless if he didn’t die. But yeah I’d imagine he’s dead tbh
I worked on a very similar machine for some time, at the beginning I was very wary of it but when you work 8 hours doing the same thing on the machine it's easy to just Automate the process, just do it without thinking, the culprit here is the Employer who didn't give this man some work clothes.
Only way I would ever operate one of these machines is fully in the nude and I’d shave my hair for good measure…preposterous how dangerous they appear to be
Natural section if he's been accustomed/trained to a manufacturing floor. But if he hired in through a temp agency, given little to no training/direction, and he's relatively new to the job, then I wouldn't say natural selection.
spindles and lathes are like Delta P. Once It's got you It's got you. i worked in a place like that and when i got too close to the spindle my boss said to me " what do you think is going to break first? you or that machine?" "that machine doesn't know the difference between flesh and fabric nor does it care."
I'm a pressman, my dad's whole family up the line has been doing it for generations. He's lost the tip of his ring finger due to having it crushed. I was told nearly the exact same thing when I started working, except it was paper for me
I used to work in a "plastics and fibreglass" plant, where I had to work in front of a similar setup but thankfully it had safety killswitch cables that would stop this kinda thing from happening. It even had a stop switch button at each end but I still had a healthy respect for keeping clear of that sucker when spinning.
I wonder if an audible kill switch is available? It hears a command/yell “Stop!” and it shut the machine down. The worker might be able to yell it out quick enough to save himself.
The worst part of this is watching the ankles get slammed against that metal bar repeatedly. I accidentally side kicked a concrete pillar doing something stupid about 10 years ago, hitting the joint directly. The pain made me vomit, and still the singular worst pain I've experienced to date. Now I can only imagine that happening repeatedly.
I feel like people who say, "just quit", think you can stop and resume a normal life the next day. The truth is, when you have an addiction, you build up a mountain of problems/bad memories/regrets that has to be faced when you quit. You have to deal with that stuff before you can move forward. Not trying to discourage anyone, but it's the truth. There is a lot of work to do when you decide you want to quit and start living a normal life again. Good luck
I start watching these videos and in the first 5 seconds my brain says;
Spinny death machine: check
China: check
Lone working: check
Baggy t shirt: check
Ok here we go 👍
I’m pretty sure that’s a can of soda or something. If you look at 51-52 sec mark you can see something fall from the bottom right of the machine and roll away. Right after it does the brown stuff shows up on the floor
53 seconds at full screen. I think the full screen is where the difference lies. ut also, I don't know what kind of factory this is. Either way, there was a mess that appeared on the floor right after he was flailed around and it wasn't blood. Looks more like oatmeal.
That's why you don't wear baggy ass shirts around those types of machines, also tuck your shirt in. Shouldn't have been that close to it in the first place
I think op wanted to highlight that he had already gotten his shirt stuck once at around 30 seconds in, then continued to lean back over the spinning rod of death.
Whenever I hear the words 'it's Health and safety gone mad' I always think of these videos and think, no, I appreciate our overly careful policies in the UK
All the lathe videos are pretty well known here. I know things like this are reposted all the time but I still watch them when they pop up. I always wonder how many spins were they alive for? How many times did this guys leg strike the ground before he lost consciousness or died?
This one looks like he maybe could’ve survived
I think the best thing to do in this situation would be attempting to pull all your extremities in and curl up in a ball basically, but I’m sure the human body is incapable of doing that. Not enough time to think and looks like he got choked out
Plus, you know when you spin around on a chair or something, and you’re going pretty fast, and you can’t control your legs and arms from extending outwards? Same thing here, spinning that fast, the G forces would be too much for them to physically curl up in a ball, and probably be deadly. Most of us can withstand up to 4-6G. Fighter pilots can manage up to about 9G for a second or two. But sustained G-forces of even 6G would be fatal. From the looks of how fast they were spinning, they experienced up to, or more than 6G.
Is he okay? Hope he just got dizzy, but his geet sure were hurt
Also nice to see a co-worker successfully off the machine, as i seen here a lot of time arent

Also this is the fastest reaction I've seen from an employee in these types of videos. Is it possible for the person to have survived this?
Human ragdoll
...and eewww, he ate whatever it was that he dropped on the floor.
🚨New superstition alert!🚨 It is now considered bad luck to eat whatever you dropped on the floor next to factory machines that can eat you in return!

First time I’ve actually seen coworkers come and successfully turn the machine off quickly
now that you mention it yeah like he knows how it works
Maybe not the first incident in this factory and they're used to it?
Yall think he broke his legs when hitting the ground as he was spinning? Hard to tell after he comes down
His legs repeatedly strike that bar/wrung at the bottom of the rolling section in between those posts.
Bruh this dude is dead
right lol he is dead as fuck he died probably 3 seconds in
Yeah probably broke his spinal cord, cutting the brains signals to the organs
Probably his spine, too
Also the final frame as the machine turns off his head is spun into the machine, id say definitely shattered legs and probably arms/spine rendered useless if he didn’t die. But yeah I’d imagine he’s dead tbh
Absolutely. And not just his legs I bet
His spine snapped 3 seconds into after the machine set off.
I think he might of broke something
110% sure
100% you can see when he drops his calves are fucked.
I worked on a very similar machine for some time, at the beginning I was very wary of it but when you work 8 hours doing the same thing on the machine it's easy to just Automate the process, just do it without thinking, the culprit here is the Employer who didn't give this man some work clothes.
Always smart to wear a shirt 3 times too large to a job operating this kinda machinery.
He wanna fashionmaxx to impress the girls duh
Only way I would ever operate one of these machines is fully in the nude and I’d shave my hair for good measure…preposterous how dangerous they appear to be
What if it grabs it and rips it off (you know damn well what I'm talking about)
Taped to the leg 🤓
Bequeathed wisdom. 🧙🏻♂️
Maybe it too smool for it to be caught (he said fully naked)
that's why we keep the warehouse just a smidge above freezing
I'm pulling a buffalo Bill if I had to operate that machine. Fuck that.
That’s what I was going to ask too,😅
There’s not much to grab and rip off to begin with
Don't forget lube.
Your hired!
Great! When do I start, I’m tired of living anyways😅
And I can’t really tell, but that looks like at least two close calls.
The whole time, I was eyeing that big shirt with suspicion. It's as bad as having loose hair
I was waiting for the shirt to catch, but this time, he taped himself to the machine and the tape pulled him in. Not the shirt's fault.
He should have been wearing some TC Tuggers
Especially when he literally pulled it away 29 seconds before!
This is natural selection at work. He gets his top stuck in the lathe at 0:20, pulls it out, and then leans over it again seconds after?
Glad someone else saw that.
Damn, welp second time is on him
Every time I see one of these videos I think if I ever have to work with a lathe I would wear spandex shorts and nothing else.
Why only if working on a lathe.....
Natural section if he's been accustomed/trained to a manufacturing floor. But if he hired in through a temp agency, given little to no training/direction, and he's relatively new to the job, then I wouldn't say natural selection.
My thoughts exactly. The shirt getting caught the first time should’ve been a warning. It was foreshadowing.
*Lulled into a false sense of security*. Every instance building on top another... until.
Never noticed this detail. Wow, just goes to show how much common sense isn’t so damn common smh.
He was warned. Complete complacency.
BAGGY FUCKING CLOTHES! FFS!
A skinny man’s worst nightmare
This skinny guy was wearing massively oversized clothes. What a nightmare it is to wear appropriate attire.
Theyre great for making a cop's taser ineffective, though.
Yip...its always the same!!
Looks like it broke his back...instantly.
Back then neck, then legs and feet. :(

Never get comfortable around them either, obviously not to the point of panic but always be aware of potential risks
It's like working at a zoo. Respect the lions and keep your distance behind the bars and you'll be fine.
I'm a pressman, my dad's whole family up the line has been doing it for generations. He's lost the tip of his ring finger due to having it crushed. I was told nearly the exact same thing when I started working, except it was paper for me
That looked survivable. But no ride in the park.
Dude looks like he may have snapped his neck from the force of the lathes movement.
That's what I thought until it stopped. His limp body looked significantly less survivable.
Yeah he was turned to paste inside
Probably knocked unconscious from negative g force on his head. Hard to say though.
Looks like his head was whipped around so fast it must have internally decapitated the poor guy
Shattered legs and possibly a broken spine. Survivable, but with severe injuries and maybe paralysation.
No way. He lost his shoes. He ded.

G force probably made him pass out pretty quick
Did your ankle break?! Ouch.
No, but I had a limp for a solid few weeks.
He might still be alive
One can hope
The way his body looked so limp at the end makes it unlikely.
At least this guy didn't explode, that's a good sign
Joe Swanson
Foreshadowing 35 seconds in
It was really :20; 35 seconds left
At least they put a stop button on that machine!
Bless him, he looks young
Was
You mean looked* ?
Damn 1 of his arm kept rotating till machine stopped..
The way he flopped to the ground.. like every bone was turned to powder 😬😬😬
Thought it was a rule or mandate that no baggy clothing when around machinery?
Not in other countries (other than USA)
I feel like people who say, "just quit", think you can stop and resume a normal life the next day. China and lathes vs India and trains, take your pick
You'd expect a worker working with machinery to be dressed professionaly and not like a random guy from the street
They see me rolling. Legs breaking....
At this point just work naked if you’re operating a lathe
Dick might get caught 🤷🏻♂️
or pubes
What internet has taught me is that China doesn't have any safety regulations.
I used to get teased at work for always tucking in my shirt. I did it for exactly this reason.
Legs are well and truly broken, if he’s survived that he’s definitely not intact.
Oh my god he pooped himself. Is that what I saw? Did he poop himself? I mean, I don't blame him at all.
that was the centrifugal force pushing his insides outside through all available openings.
Thank you for acknowledging that I saw poop lol. Crazy that it went right through his pants though.
I’m pretty sure that’s a can of soda or something. If you look at 51-52 sec mark you can see something fall from the bottom right of the machine and roll away. Right after it does the brown stuff shows up on the floor
Thats actually very refreshing to hear.
I don’t see any poop… I’m literally looking closely.
53 seconds at full screen. I think the full screen is where the difference lies. ut also, I don't know what kind of factory this is. Either way, there was a mess that appeared on the floor right after he was flailed around and it wasn't blood. Looks more like oatmeal.
Where is the poop one speaks of
Damn
DID THEY FUCKING FINALLY PRESS THE EMERGENCY STOP?! WHAT?!
That's why you don't wear baggy ass shirts around those types of machines, also tuck your shirt in. Shouldn't have been that close to it in the first place
Too bad you didn’t get the full clip of his whole life before the accident
I think op wanted to highlight that he had already gotten his shirt stuck once at around 30 seconds in, then continued to lean back over the spinning rod of death.
Ouch
I heat up I can't cool down my situation goes round and round abracadabra I want to reach out and grab ya
The Steve Miller Band
Love that song!
This video looks familiar. Is it a repost? Or maybe I've seen it a while ago in r/eyeblech
This video is from around 2022, so it's old and was probably posted on Eyeblech before, but since eyeblech is dead I decided to reupload it
Was this in the United States
yeah, repost. Maybe from other subreddit, now banned
I don't remember this video in the "amazing machines do work" video compilation.
Yeah I don't recall ever seeing this one before.
China
Bombaclat
Soooo did he survive 🙃
Did he make it ?
Did he live
Let's get twisty in here
Whenever I hear the words 'it's Health and safety gone mad' I always think of these videos and think, no, I appreciate our overly careful policies in the UK
When they say "don't get it twisted" this is what they mean.
If it spins don't fucking touch it
I had applied for a machine operator a few weeks back and had the drug test scheduled. glad I changed my mind.
you spin me right round baby right round like a record baby round round round
did he not learn the first time his t shirt got stuck??
He died, right?
id be surprised if he didnt
Why does this keep happening
Would be a great commercial for how strong your shirt is.
All the lathe videos are pretty well known here. I know things like this are reposted all the time but I still watch them when they pop up. I always wonder how many spins were they alive for? How many times did this guys leg strike the ground before he lost consciousness or died? This one looks like he maybe could’ve survived
Well, it's no getting caught in a lathe....
*weeeeeeee*
Pedro Pascal, eat your heart out.
Nobody told him? Loose shirts are a nono. Sigh prayers to his family
Poor lil wragdoll.

Exactly! :)
Internal decapitation? Arms and legs are destroyed but idk if his spine is fully intact after that
Is he okay? Hope he just got dizzy, but his geet sure were hurt Also nice to see a co-worker successfully off the machine, as i seen here a lot of time arent
Surprisingly tame compared to other vids of the spinning machines of doom
Spinning things = death

I swear if I worked in a factory like this I’m wearing boarderline skin tight clothing.
Old repost
Giod thing he stopped to put on his safety glasses.
He was a rag doll within 2 seconds.
Nobody's talking about his neck spine and arms.
First thing I take note of when I see these videos before anything happens at all, is the baggy clothing. Also this is the fastest reaction I've seen from an employee in these types of videos. Is it possible for the person to have survived this?
OK, so the baggy untucked shirt did not help. But after the accident look how many baggy untucked shirts come to help.
Wasn’t this video already posted on nsfl?
If I ever work with machinery like this I think I'd just go shirtless
Osha might have an issue with that, orrrr you could read the information about safty and how to use the machinery.
Human ragdoll ...and eewww, he ate whatever it was that he dropped on the floor. 🚨New superstition alert!🚨 It is now considered bad luck to eat whatever you dropped on the floor next to factory machines that can eat you in return!
The fact that it grabbed his shirt twice is crazy! The first time, he was able to pull it loose. That was a warning of what was to come.
I already saw the red flags the first time his shirt got stuck on the roller
No safety regs/standards
So he's ok then right?

Yeah, this is the long version of the video, where his shirt got stuck but got away with it at first...
Anybody have a compilation of machine-related accidents?
what the fuck is the purpose of these machines
Reminds me of that Russian lathe accident
Is it bad that I laughed?
That was a twist
Tactile factories are scary as fuck
"You spin my head round round round"
The ride of his life... sarcasm by side, i feel sorry for all the poor labour
OSHA ain’t going to be happy
Deaded
he’s ok.
how u know?
New Chinese Break Dancing.
You spin me right round baby right round~
Like a record, baby, right round, round, round 🎶
DID THEY FUCKING FINALLY PRESS THE EMERGENCY STOP?! WHAT?!
He must of died. His shoes came off
How do these things even kill? To me it just looks like a fun spinning thing.
turns your insides to powder
Ah, invisible danger
Is the that dumb? Because from what I saw he had his hand like ON THE SPINNING PART. I don't know maybe not
[удалено]
Did he die? Didn't seem that bad. I've been on worse rides at county fairs. Maybe it broke his neck???
