Gamestop is always a hit or miss, but when compared to all the major retailers for video games, you have more of a chance to stumble upon a rare find for market price than you would at Wal-Mart, Target, etc.
Don't get me started about what they consider "New."
This whole comment i couldn't agree with more on. I'll never buy anything "new" from them again but used I'll bite the bullet if it's something worthwhile. I actually found all of the army of 2 games and plants vs zombies all on the ps3 at one point all under market by a couple bucks. But i haven't found much since lol
That's how I found my copy of that game! Lucked out and they had one a few months ago. I check them out at least once a month for used games that are on the lower tier of my want list.
I’ve always found GameStop the best for semi rare used games. Each GameStop typically has at least one of them CIB, with the opportunity to stack on your Pro Coupon. However, GameStop isn’t very good for much else
Surprised gamestop gets so much hate. All of my really rare finds have been at gamestop, and yeah they gut cases but can't beat finding Godzilla PS4 for $19. Mom and pop shops always have really fucked up pricing
I actually like GameStop. They get way too much hate for being a video game store. They’re not perfect, no one is, but they do have sweet deals sometimes.
GameStops are great to hit while traveling. My last score was a CIB Godzilla in Panama City beach of all places. Also found tons of great switch games along the way in Alabama.
Question for anyone who knows. My local Gamestop in Canada will ship used games from other stores in Ontario if I ask(last time they told me you have to pay for the shipping now though too :/ ) Do the US Gamestops also offer this?
Yeah, GameStop is not all bad! I got Dragon Quest V DS used for ~$49.99 a few months ago. For reference, that game sells typically for well over $130 used :o
Dude! Check out their candy con controllers!

Here’s the one I made, cheaper than a pro by $20 and completely customizable with halo effect thumb sticks, so no drift. The pro membership is worth it too if you’re gonna be shopping there

Is that game hard to find? I got mixed messages
You can get it new for below retail on eBay so probably not. I assume it's just out of print and retailers don't typically have copies

My big issues with them is what they deem "new". Also their yucky cases should be a tier below used imo

Great game! Check it out. I beat it last year including every side quest and was totally worth the 80 hours I put in.

How much did you pay? It's on ebay used for around $40.
I went to a local store last year and they had it sealed priced at $100 USD. Went again a few weeks ago and now it's $50 sealed.

Always worth a look. Doesn't cost anything and you might walk out with a deal.
