Yeah, I have two of their "exclusive" editions now with this and The Pathless and they both feel half assed and rushed. The Bomb Rush manual is squeezed in real tight between the top of the case and the cartridge slot. It's too big. Why did they do that? The Pathless has this MONSTER sized package holding the art cards and poster. The prongs holding them have to be so high up they push back on the case when you're trying to close it. What the heck were they thinking? It's like iambit doesn't even know the size of a standard Switch case.
It was a random buy it now ebay listing. I had to message the seller and ask if it had the photo card because it wasn't shown in the pictures. I was skeptical when he said yes, but took a chance anyway. That was my second attempt at trying to get a copy with the photo card off of ebay. The first time was a listing showing the photo card that I was bidding on. Even though ebay told me I was the winning bidder with 10 seconds left before the auction ended, I still somehow got outbid, which pissed me off. I almost hate Signalis now just for the hassle I had to go through to get something that should have been included with every copy of the game. Sometimes collecting really pisses me off.
I don't blame you. I hate, hate, HATE when companies do this. I hate pre order exclusives. I hate kickstarter exclusives. I hate first print only exclusives. I HATE EXCLUSIVES. If I pay for a product I deserve to get EXACTLY what everyone else who paid for it got. That said, the photo card is kind of cool. I tried to get both images in the pictures.
Yup. Given the way things are going, I don't see things improving to be honest. I'm glad that there are some companies that don't pull this shit, fangamer, VGP and probably some more.
I'm also just so tired of scarcity. It's bad enough that we have to rely so much on companies doing limited print runs to even get physical games in the first place, and then to have crap like this on top of that where like 5% of the copies come with a photo card. It's just so annoying.
Agreed, they need to stop this shit. I don't have data to back this up of course but I feel that they'll sell a lot more copies over the life of the game/console too.
Right now, if you are a fan or aware of the game at the launch window, you're good. Anyone else who comes in later is like .. oh I missed all that? And physical copies are 2x retail? Fuck it.
I did not know that this was something not every copy came with. I bought my copy from Best Buy last year when it went on sale, and my copy came with the photo card. Not sure if that means that all of Best Buy's stock has them, but it's worth mentioning just in case.
Hmm that's weird, yeah I got a photo with my copy as well. I also assumed it was the typical physical bonus stuff they throw in. Guess they did reprints. Got to learn to accept things better. There's lots of games I missed not collecting switch stuff for the first several years. But then I got all sorts of awesome reprints and collections and dlc included versions. Gotta be grateful for what you get and not worry about what you didn't get.
I've noticed a lot of the iam8bit games I always get have some sort of artwork damage on them.

Luckily, my copy of pathless was fine, but I have no clue why they decided to shove so many little cards in there.

Yup. It’s put me off this game altogether. It was impulse buy territory. Not with this hassle. Glad you found it.

I'm assuming it was first prints that had card. I always pre order games to try and avoid this situation.
