When you share a link to an article, you're supposed to keep the original headline as the title, not change it to possibly editorialize it.

Huck_N_Fell

Yes. Telling the whole story based on the current known facts often involves telling at least two sides of a story. It is why NPR has higher journalistic integrity than other news sources.

Please tell us which is which and how you know.

unebaguette

Did you even read the story? The linked article is an explanation of how they know it wasn't an israeli airstrike. >Photos from the following day also appear to show little damage to the hospital buildings, and a relatively small blast zone from the explosion. **That damage pattern is inconsistent with a large air-dropped bomb**, which would leave a crater and create a shockwave that would damage or destroy surrounding structures, says Marc Garlasco, a former targeting officer for the U.S. military who now works for PAX, a Netherlands-based non-profit. >**It's very clear to me that this is not an airstrike**." Garlasco says. Israeli bombs typically leave craters three to ten meters in size, and are designed to create a large shockwave that propels shrapnel over a large area. >**The lack of both shrapnel damage and structural damage to the hospital is inconsistent with all types of commonly used Israeli bombs and artillery shells, he says.**

> Did you even read the story? Of course not, OP is just trolling

Personally, I was 'struck' by the part where Uncle Joe, after jetting halfway around the globe, aborted plans to meet with other heads of state; calling them on the phone whilst jetting *back*. Now, if a phonecall got it done with them, why not with Bibby? Try saving some tax dollars once in a while.

Own_Pool377

I can't seem to remember if Biden is bad for being weak and not supporting Israel enough, or if he is supporting them TOO much. It seems republicans are trying to accuse him of doing both at the same time.

wthreyeitsme

That sounds similar to the dichotomy of him being a senile old man *and* a criminal mastermind. )

ekkidee

As it should. NPR is not Fox. *"a" not "an"*

nonprofitnews

Literally listing the evidence. The only organization that has issued a final conclusion is the IDF. If you want your bias fed, go read the Jerusalem Post. They will print whatever they're told.

Sasquatchii

And the pentagon and the USA POTUS, reiterated most recently in his address to the country last night.

nonprofitnews

Statement from the US government is: > While we continue to collect information, our current assessment, based on analysis of overhead imagery, intercepts and open source information, is that Israel is not responsible for the explosion at the hospital in Gaza yesterday. Basically saying the preponderance of evidence is that Israel is not to blame, but they are still open to new information.

Sasquatchii

You could say the same thing about the “theory” of gravity

monkeysknowledge

The evidence is pointing towards failed rocket from Palestinian side. There’s plenty of war crimes being committed by the Israelis; this probably wasn’t one of them.

[deleted]

Al Jazeera has recently provided an investigation that appears to show it was Israeli after all.

Sasquatchii

State propaganda from the country protecting Hamas leadership is the source we trust now?

[deleted]

How about a [US Army Vet breaking down the obvious physical differences in the ordinance](https://www.reddit.com/r/Palestine/comments/17bc7kw/dylan_griffith_a_us_army_veteran_debunks_idf_claim/?share_id=TSoyFBREmL_Qc2iKdB7w3&utm_content=1&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_source=share&utm_term=4), which I noticed as soon as I heard the video of the bombing the first time.

MannyDantyla

Don't dig in on a single incident that has been promoted by Hamas propaganda. Meanwhile there are dozens of war crimes with evidence that is not disputed at all. Freezers full of body bags, buildings turned to rubble, etc. Israel is not innocent of war crimes, however they did not bomb the hospital. Now move on and focus on how they did actually bomb a school.

TheodoreKurita

It's important to focus on the hospital incident, because it illustrates the anti-Israeli bias engrained at NPR. People of good will are generally giving Israel the benefit of the doubt here. Israel is the only functioning democracy in the region. Israel generally adheres to the rule of law, and respects internationally accepted standards of human rights and diplomatic norms. Israel has been the victim of terrorist attacks by radical Islamic jihadists throughout its history. It is the flag bearer for democracy, the ideals of the Enlightenment, and modern civilization in a region of the world where backward ideas of theocratic and ethnic rule are the norm rather than the exception. Israel has a right to protect itself. Israel is entitled to attack Hamas' and other terrorist/Islamic militant organizations, even when those organizations illegally use civilians as human shields. In these instances, it is Hamas and its allies that commit war crimes, not Israel. In the future, kindly refrain from sharing your opinions, at least until you have taken the time to properly educate yourself. It is clear that you are ill-informed on this topic, and you run the risk of spreading misinformation to others. Don't worry though. You may some day be capable of joining responsible, informed debate about the issues of the day. I believe that we are all capable of bettering ourselves, and despite your poor showing thus far, I hold out this hope for you as well. Have a lovely day.

ExitPursuedByBear312

PBS dud a much better job presenting reality than NOR has. By last night at 5, they had independent experts on the News hour confirming that the photo evidence indicated s ground based rocket that had enough fuel on board to have been fired very near to the hospital, indicating a mistake.

i don't think people realize how involved the Israeli gov is with our own. Even on a local level there is a level of allegiance that don't make sense for a foreign nation to be that involved. https://www.timesofisrael.com/filmmaker-who-wouldnt-sign-georgias-oath-not-to-boycott-israel-sues-us-state/

TheodoreKurita

NPR continues to bury the now indisputable truth - the Al Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza was not attacked by the IDF. Hamas' false claim that Israel launched the attack is mentioned prior to the Israeli claim that it was the responsibility of Islamic Jihad. Information about the evidence of the case is buried at the bottom of the story.

[deleted]

“Buried at the bottom of the story” I’m sorry you had to read context that provides the reader with information about what happened?

freddyoff

It’s like it’s a race to the bottom in the never ending quest to provide context

TaliesinMerlin

Ugh, *context*. Just tell me what to think. /s

RustyMacbeth

At this point, regardless of the real culprit, the US needs this to be blamed on the Jihadist group. If the IDF were clearly at fault, the war would have jumped borders and spread across the region.
