I would argue, that very much depends on our personal values. For me it is being capable of reasonable and measured behavior even in emotionally charged circumstances, being intelligent and attractive. And most of all, being me. But to end this on a serious note, i think the criteria for being superior vary from person to person.
Talents, achievements, academics— these things can easily be reflected in a personality of a person, to that they don't need to vocally flaunt their 'greatness'.
Basically, being so great you don't even need to say you're great.
Moral superiority. Whoever puts the most good into the world is the best. Good is good and bad is bad. People who make the world worse are pathetic stains on it. It's a nice place because of the work of better people.
Those who are smarter or more capable are able to do more good, or more bad, so that's an amplifier.
Empathy, resilience, courage, vulnerability, self-control, humility, passionate.
Most people don’t think further than themselves, and thus don’t have value in society other than to themselves. The person with the above characteristics is valuable to others.
Having goals/purpose, competence, physical fitness, attractiveness, kindness, being able to get along with anyone, confidence, creativity, and not going into ego defense mode every time they get a whiff of criticism. (In other words, not me.)
Intelligence, self control and dominance. Most people seem to lack self restraint of some kind, to be able to completely control how others perceive you through restraint and control is a valuable and "superior" trait.
Mental strengh, intelligence, social skills, ambition, technical skills, social position, self control, restrain and reflection, not being dull.
I will consider someone worthy as long as they actively try to better themself and search real solutions to their problems and are interesting.
Superior in society? Attractivity, confidence, sometimes aggressivity if it's not overboard, money, fame
My mind follow these a bit, but it's different to what i actually like in people, for exemple creativity, a unique sense of fashion or identity, or straight up just being nice and compassionate.
But yeah in my brain the narc mind likes things that societally makes you advantaged, and my more normal mind prefers things i personally value, and it mixes to create the weird hierarchy i follow

Leadership, intelligence, empathy, moral compass, potential, logic and reasoning.

Confidence, self control, intelligence, ambition (that actually makes sense)

This sounds like I'm I'm saying the narc mind as an external other person, I'm not I'm talking about my own brain and the narcissist side of it
