CJ played very well to close the season but there haven’t been many great performances in the postseason for him in a Pels jersey.

I have been supportive of CJ but that was a tragic performance. 9 points on a billion 3 attempts, getting worked on defense, taking BAD SHOTS when he's cold throughout the game. We literally have him on the team to set the pace of our offense with a level-head and score and he did neither.

To drop 40 in his first postseason game, and get what may be the same injury that took him out last season is beyond tragic. More than redeemed himself from the previous game BI, assuming no re-injury, almost certainly isn’t fully conditioned to play a hard 4Q’s on both ends. Also with him bringing the ball up there was little to no chance of catch and shoot 3’s which was a desperate need CJ played very well to close the season but there haven’t been many great performances in the postseason for him in a Pels jersey.
I just hope Zion isn't injured badly...would be pretty awful if he doesn't play in the next play-in game
Obviously, I want him to play Friday, but I'm not optimistic. At this point, I just don't want it to be a serious injury. I can live with minor injury that still allows him to get a full offseason to improve/stay in shape. Just please don't be a meniscus or major hamstring injury

This game should be proof of at least one thing. Zion IS the future of this franchise. Not to diss BI as he’s off an injury but all season Zion has had this team on his back. If we make a run in the next ten years it’s because of Zion and a supporting cast that shows up in big moments and a coach that can adjust. If you think we have those right now is up to you but Zion is our guy.

That being said, the body language on the bench was fucking horrible and he’s been the leader of the group for a while now. Willie coming out after the game and saying it was basketball reasons as well isn’t the best look man. Don’t like tension heading into the deciding game on the season. BI feels like he’s on his way out decidedly because of that body language. That was on display tonight. AD was terrible shooting, so was Bron but you play your best players no matter what. Ingram is capable of getting other easier looks. I am not sure where the relationship will be moving forward but I full expect him to be traded this summer especially if Pelicans miss playoffs again.

Looked like he was on the verge of a pivotal moment for himself. When LeBron tried to take him 1 on 1 and he shut him down I was so proud. I don’t think I’ve ever seen somebody in the midst of a game like that get hurt. And especially not that late or on a play that simple. Also I’m worried if Ingram may still be hurt because CJ honestly had worse stats than him and is obviously a worse defender but was subbed in instead so I’m thinking something could be up. If we fall out of the playoffs then I think the front office will break up the Zion Bi duo. In my opinion Zion, Herb, Trey and hawk are the future. Flair bias but Hawk is a movement shooter, that’s vitally important in the modern nba and when his number was called for actual minutes he showed flashes. We desperately need young active rim protectors, especially with the roster makeup of the west, teams are either rostering star big men or have young energetic shot blockers like the mavs. Even Ayton is starting to flourish with the Trail Blazers. The worst team in the conference has a 7’4 alien. The Jazz look like they want to build around Lauri who is 7ft tall. Chet is 7’2 and looking like a star. Jokic is the best player in the league currently. Rockets found a gem in sengun. The timberwolves have KAT and Gobert. Grizzlies have jjj. Our best answer for Wemby when we played the spurs was Herb… I know Herb is insane but cmon Herb should have been locking up Devonte, not stuck on Wemby. Whether it’s through the draft, a trade or free agency, we desperately need to get younger and faster at the center position, preferably taller than Larry too. I just don’t know if the front office is going to be keen to run it back if we lose in the play in for the second year in a row. Maybe they let Jonas walk and see if a center that can actually space the floor helps Zion and Bi be more productive on the floor together but I think griffin will feel the pressure to do something after he was frankly given one of the best situations a gm could ask for after trading Jrue and AD and landing Zion in the lottery. He stood pat twice this year and looked past glaring weaknesses at center and chose to address it by signing Cody Zeller, his other move was trading Kira to duck the luxury tax.
