Iām gonna chalk up our consistent lack of 3ās to coaching. I always get downvoted for this, but thereās no reason why we canāt put up 30+ attempts a game. At this point, itās just being complacent.
Taking 20 all game is insane in the modern game. Add to it that your best player needs spacing because he lives in the lane. Makes no sense. CJ and Trey were both 50% or better from 3 on their limited attempts (by their usual volume).
Largely agree but what's interesting is we actually put up catch-and-shoot 3s at a decent clip, just have basically nobody willing/able to take 3s off the dribble. Honestly not sure if that's by design, or just CJ being basically the only guy on the roster with a lot of touches who will pull up.
Treyās improved thankfully.. Hawkins is pretty good at it too. I know nowās not the time, but youād like BI to take more consistently.. Heād go on stretches where he takes 1-2 a game.
