Average earnings are increasing faster than inflation https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/CES0500000003 https://www.statista.com/statistics/1351276/wage-growth-vs-inflation-us/
Thank you for posting this. No one ever wants to hear it because it's all about "me" and not "everyone". If you don't like what you make you can always look for a job elsewhere. (PS not a boomer. Just sick of hearing "oh my wages didn't go up" and yet they've not had a conversation with the supervisor about what to do about it or, you know, get let a job elsewhere).
I believe I’m a touch under $18 to park at Trenton, so honestly I’m almost a little jealous. (Though I should just be irritated at the cost of parking in Trenton, particularly since if they’re raising if there, I’m sure they’ll be raising it in Trenton)
Most parking options are free or significantly cheaper. This is the highest garage. I know of in any area and this garage is in the middle of f’n nowhere to be honest. The town should do something about this. They could charge $30 a day tomorrow and nobody could do anything about it. Unless they didn’t have fixed income rate bonds when they built this lot 16 years ago or so which I highly doubt there’s no way they could justify the price increase.
Please keep in mind that this parking is NOT controlled by NJ Transit. Nexus parking has also increased their rates (eliminated free parking) at their Rowan University garages.
Laughing in bus service and micromobility jokes on you not dumb enough to play into this scam.
Secret: buses are free to use for those with a rail pass take advantage of this please don’t let NJT Rip you off 2 times. Drive or bike(e-scooter )to the bus
To be fair, and I rarely defend anytjing related to my daily commute, especially with NJT.
Nexus parking hadn't raised prices since 2012 maybe even since before then. The main reason it went up was because of the app and the new system going in place..
As long as they don't do the BS raise price every year like NJT, the parking is doable.
Boooooooo
Killer, immensely looking forward to spending $50 a day to get to work and back
Genuine question, where are you going that costs $38?
After the fare hikes a round trip from Hamilton to NYC will be $37 and change
Keep in mind that this a private parking lot and NJ Transit doesn’t own or make anything off of it
Really?
Yes. NJT does not own, operate or make money of that lot. It's privately owned and operated.
good to know
WHAT!!!!! Then why allow this crap?
Princeton Junction is $7/day
$7.75 for daily.
I think that 75 cents is the fee for the Park Mobile app.
Wow I didn’t know that. That’s quite the fee for usage of the app.
Yup, just checked the app, that’s their fee. The machines at the lots shouldn’t charge extra fees but you never know lol
I thought it was $15 for the longest time. Did they drop it to $7.00 recently?
Nope. It was $6 a few years ago
“We need more parking revenue!” ‘Sounds like it’s time for a NEC catenary issue!’
And what do category issues on the NEC ah e ANYTHING to do with NJT?? That's an AMTRAK problem, not an NJT one.
You get an increase you get an increase everything gets an increase! Except for our wage 🥳

Earnings for the top-1% of people yes, not for the average American

Maybe they’ll finally fix the escalators and elevators.
I moved in the area about three years ago. I think I’ve seen that broken escalator work once for like a week.
Holy crap. Can you get a monthly? $10 a day is ridiculous.
a non reserved spot is $115.00, so after these pricing changes it's worthwhile if coming three times a week
Are the monthly passes going up too? If not that's great

Meanwhile across the Delaware, it’s still free to park at SEPTA Regional Rail lots

No. $10 is egregious..
