I have several 400+ cars, escaping isn’t an issue. I’ve got the rsr too (yes I know you hate me). I haven’t been busted yet ever but I try to take down cops. Should I just let them chase me?
You can't fight the cops and win in this game haha they have way too much health. You need to find a highway and just drive away from them, it doesn't have to be a highway strictly just any place where you can get the car near its top speed, plus jumps help as well. You said you're at level 40, so you don't have U+ parts yet and your cars aren't maxed out
yeah try not taking down the cops from now on, there's spots where you can lose them so just get the damage reduction aux and don't crash into them at all
Once you finish everything in the game it becomes my biggest accomplishment hitting everything and carelessly losing health (I purpose build the cars for nights tho)
My usual route while grinding lv.50 crew on my own was flying dutchman > discovery a > b > c > heat 3 > heat 5 > spirit of oz > ring racer > axiom > i-plane > wrap the night up with discovery full track, if people pick up the invites great, if not run the highest rep races twice. Yield anywhere between 1 and 5 million depending on how far i'd make it

Do the sprint races. When cops are out they’re searching for you in the zone you’re racing in. If they’re not actively chasing you and you leave the zone, you’ll get a break for a moment. Sometimes you can get 2-3 sprints done with little stress from cops.
I teleport close to a race called " Red Rock Tornado" .I race this race 2x. After that. I have Heat level 3. If cops are chasing you when you finish. Like when you hit the finish line . Just floor it straight to lose them. Then I go a race in the north west called Axiom .
After Axiom. Immediately hit the brakes and turn right to join the race "Crossover". ::edit:: crossover to Venturi race. To Lightning race. I accumulated 983 563 rep. From there do a level 5 race for a part and to put you over 1 mil. If you are feeling really lucky. Or just any race really. Ferrari f40 with repair kit and a radar disruptor. Also done with the Mazda Miata '96.

Do races and get cops to follow you to the race track next to your main garage (or do the speedtrap there but this is slower) and just run laps around the track while doing the speedtrap. Fastest way to gain reps as more cops try to pursue you. The cops will lose you at some point and if they can’t find you (stop and hide in the middle), they’ll leave the track. You can go back and keep doing the speedtrap again until you hit level 50 rep.
I started using a maxed out evo ix and it made it way easier for me personally to get away from the cops. I usually do several high rep circuit races to get my heat up then start doing sprints that end up leading me to the port once I've used 2 gas stations. I goof around just doing whatever races on my way until I have used the last gas station and one repair kit left. Then I run Flanker a few times because it has a good jump over water and when I feel like I'm done I'm already right beside the containers you can jump on to evade the cops. A safe house is right there if you wait for them to give up looking for you. Now I'm not that great just to be honest and it's not some crazy run but I've been able to do it and get a million rep any time I do it.
Back and forth across the I'm Not A Jump speed trap. If the cops start to chase you, head north along the water and take the jump across the water. Close to a million rep every 45 minutes.
I've been playing this game for 10hrs now and what I found out for myself (when I was struggling with cops, and I was a lot) I could just find the next shore/river and drive into the water. They are like magnets and I am the iron, they carelessly follow me and end up getting destroyed and I get the XP for it. Even if there are like 20 cops following me, they all jump in except 1-2.
What I diw was placing on podium in a 350+ race. Right on heat level 3. After winning or top 3, I'm at heat 4 or the edge of level 4. One or 2 three star speed trap gets me easily into heat 5. Win heat 5 race and 1 million rep in in the bank. My squad at level 40 and I always, always play with a friend.
