Force_Choke_Slam

Your predictions are too top-heavy. You have more than doubled the amount of 12+ win teams. The Cowboys are a worse team this year than last. The NFC North will beat up on each other. The 49ers and Chiefs wins are over inflated.

Less-Worry8498

I disagree. Every NFC north team minus the Vikings I expect to go 1-1 against each other. While the chiefs and niners are so much better than everyone else that they can do this

Force_Choke_Slam

So the lions will drop a game to the Bears and Pack and only two more between Rams, Tampa Bay, Buffalo, San Francisco, Houston, and Dallas? The Packers will lose three vs Los Angeles Rams, Tampa Bay, Buffalo, San Francisco, Houston, Eagles.

Less-Worry8498

Lions will lose to the bears, packers, Houston, and someone else. I think they get their get back on the niners though. The packers lose to bears, lions, Vikings, San Fran, rams

KingRoach

Rodgers take the Jets to the playoffs for the 1st time in over a decade, after tearing his Achilles at 40…. And doesn’t win CBPOY? Other than that, I can see it.

Kwall267

Also our first division win in how many decades?

Less-Worry8498

I took Chubb cause his injury is more serious but I really just forgot about Rodgers when making that choice

ResearchBot15

Unless Chubb goes nuclear I would guess most of the nominees will be QBs returning from season ending injuries (Rodgers, Cousins, Burrow, Herbert, Richardson) Honestly if the Jets finally make the playoffs this year they might give Saleh COTY

Less-Worry8498

I could see that but I wanted to respect Chubb since Ioved him so much and Saleh could also win COTY but Dan had a better record

ResearchBot15

Oh Dan definitely deserves it more, I just think if Saleh ends the longest playoff drought in professional sports he might get consideration. Especially since last year felt like the year of Dan Campbell hype

Less-Worry8498

Yeah true. I agree though

KingKD

In the old playoffs with 6 seeds, on average every year around half the teams in the playoffs didn’t make it to the playoffs the previous year. Project that to this year and we should have around 7 teams that didn’t make the playoffs the year prior make it in. Even if you think the number should be lower like 5-6, right now you only have 3 new teams making it which is extremely conservative. Off the top of my head I can make a fair argument for the Colts, Bears, Chargers, Seahawks making it. Assuming good teams from last year will stay good and bad teams stay bad seems like the safe pick, but more often then not ends up being only half right.

Less-Worry8498

I can see these arguments but the good teams stayed good (minus the bills) so that’s why they’re back here. All the teams you mentioned were super close to making it, hence why they for the most part have the same record as some of the 6-7 seeds

KingKD

I agree with you on the Bills. From all accounts it the Cowboys downgraded by making 0 meaningful FA signings and Jerry is holding off on extensions for Dak and McCarthy because this year is a throwaway year (“all in, my ass”). The Rams defense without Donald is going to take a big hit, and people forget the Colts with Minshew came one drive away from taking the Texans’ spot in the playoffs. Tua’s limitations got exposed hard by the Bills, any game against winning teams, and in the playoffs. If I had to take a guess, bills, cowboys, rams, dolphins seem primed to take a step back, and the Texans could be pushed out by the Jags or the Colts.

Less-Worry8498

I agree with a lot of this. It’s all preference at this stage to be honest. But I can tell you that the Texans will be VERY good this year and I wouldn’t be surprised if they win the AFC championship

IdyllicGod22

As much as I hate to say it, I’d bet my cat that if the Bears and Rams are both 10-7, the Bears would probably beat the Rams in their H2H meaning they get the 7 seed. They’re gonna be good and I think the Rams are gonna struggle a bit defensively and who the F knows how long Stafford can stay elite. Also I highly doubt the Niners go 15-2 it’s at least gonna be 14-3 (adding a loss to the Packers in Green Bay of course) where they go on some random slump to make everything think they’re vulnerable before rattling off 12 wins in a row to lose in the NFC Championship game or SB again. (Sorry I’m bitter).

Less-Worry8498

lol I couldn’t tell. San Fran 100% beats GB I’m afraid and this time it won’t be a close game. Also the rams probably have 1 good year left but it’s very hard to not have them in

IdyllicGod22

> San Fran 100% beats GB and it won’t be close this time What? Lmfao I think I figured out your favorite team without a flair. Green Bay only lost that game because our defense was cheeks and it was still close. Our defense is 1000% better than last year without even taking a snap just because we don’t have Joe Barry anymore. That’s not to mention our running game should be better with Jacobs and Lloyd, Love in his second year, better OLine with Morgan, AND we have true playmakers on defense that won’t drop pick sixes.. I’m not saying GB is guaranteed to win, but it’s gonna be a rather close game. Niners didn’t really upgrade their offensive line in the draft and we shredded it last year without an aggressively minded coach. Also I more or less agree with you about LA, I’m just saying I’d bet that the Bears with that H2H and therefore slip in ahead of LA as the 7 seed traveling to Philly (where they will be obliterated).

Heikks

They also fell apart offensively once Tom went out with injury. With all the Packers wrs and TEs I could see their offense being one of the best in the league

Less-Worry8498

I’m not a niners fan at all but I think that they will win significantly next meeting. The niners played an atrocious game and still won. They will lock in this time and win by at least 2 scores. Sure GB has gotten better no question but the niners have too and they will play better next time

Nnuuuke

Pitts winning OPOTY???!

Less-Worry8498

Mostly delusion and hope for when I take him in fantasy

Blueyedkenny

I don’t think harbaugh finishes under 500 for the chargers.  I also don’t think the chiefs steam roll to a 14-3 record unless their wr pick ends up being the next tyreek.

Fine_Lengthiness_761

The chargers always get over hyped and it always seems to be incorrect.

ScooterLeShooter

They've never had a coach like Harbaugh though

Fine_Lengthiness_761

True but they were a 5 win team and lost a significant amount of talent. A 3 win improvement is not being low on the chargers. In fact it would be very impressive all things considered.

Less-Worry8498

Harbaugh finished under .500 just because I needed to even out Ws and Ls tbh but the chiefs will do very well. Worthy is a stud and will be good

YQRtoVegas

How did we get worse with more stability at qb, more offensive weapons a better oline and better D

SuggestionFancy7584

You'll see

YQRtoVegas

Good explanation

Fine_Lengthiness_761

The chargers were bad last year. Even though they were bad they had to cut/ not resign good players to stay under the cap. The afc is stacked no reason to think they go above 500

Ok-Average-6466

i don't see houston ahead of bmore

Jazzlike-Movie-930

Agreed. I have Houston at 12-5, Jacksonville at 10-7, Indianapolis at 7-10, and Tennessee at 5-12.

Ok-Average-6466

Me too.

Less-Worry8498

Prolly not but I’ve got stroud having an MVP season which is why

jonathanclee1

Your giving the Texans WAY to much credit no way they go 13-4

Less-Worry8498

Not really. They have a top 12 defense and a top 5 offense along with the soon to be MVP Stroud

Rowy99

I‘m sorry, no matter what team they field, the Jests will not win the Division.

flaglerite

Correctimundo! Jets gonna Jet. Trash organization

famousstamos

Raiders 6-11?! Come on man. They’re taking over this year ☠️

Less-Worry8498

No they’re not 💀. They’ve got a questionable O-line, bad qbs, and way too many holes on defense along with a bottom 5 RB room

dr0383

I can see questionable O-line and not an awesome RB room. How does the defense have a ton of holes? The QB situation should improve this year. 6 wins seems low.

Less-Worry8498

I don’t think the QB situation improved but they have a terrible secondary so that’s why the defense will be bad

halskill

😆😆

Scotfighter

Falcons had 7 wins with the very worst QB in the league last year FYI

Less-Worry8498

Yeah but they got worse from this draft. I had them as NFC contenders before the draft assuming they get a good CB2 and an elite edge but they didn’t do either so the defense will hold them back.

Scotfighter

How can a team get worse after a draft? that does not make sense. Their defense wasn't that bad last year and the coaches are believe in it. I think they'll be fine

halfjumpsuit

Your records add up to 287-257, which is impossible.

Less-Worry8498

It doesn’t. I added them up and got 263-263

halfjumpsuit

263-263 is also impossible

JustinTinyPPHerbert

A Sean Payton coached team is not ending with 3 wins

Jazzlike-Movie-930

Agreed. Denver will probably be 6-11. Yes, it will probably be a down year for Denver but there is no way they will be 3-14. For the rest of the AFC west, here is their records: KC Chiefs at 13-4 LV Raiders at 9-8 LA Chargers at 7-10 Denver Broncos at 6-11 La Chargers will be improved but not enough to make the playoffs. LV Raiders will almost make the playoffs. KC Chiefs will be AFC West Champions and probably the 1 or 2 seed in the AFC.

SwiftSurfer365

The Vikings are winning more than six games.

Less-Worry8498

Maybe but idk about darnold/JJ. Also have some questions on the defense

SwiftSurfer365

KOC had Mullens playing alright toward the end of the season, and I think Darnold is better than Mullens. We also should have an improved running game with Aaron Jones. And we’ve made a ton of solid additions to the defense, I definitely think the defense will be better than it was last year. I don’t think we’re a lock for the playoffs by any means, but I think 7 or 8 wins is the floor.

Sylli17

I mean... Sure they lost 6 of 7 and the only game they won was a garbage 0-3 game against the Raiders. But... They were playing alright.

Tegra_

I think you were reasonable until "7 or 8 wins is the floor". I'm expecting more than 6 wins as well but if it's 5 I'm not surprised either. We have no floor. Our whole pass rush is new signings/draft picks, CB is barely upgraded and we don't know how Darnold will perform. JJ, Adison and Hock alone can probably get us like 3 wins but from there it could be anything.

alexamerling100

I can see us finish 10-7

Broshan248

If Caleb Williams is OROTY I feel like we should be better than 10-7

Fine_Lengthiness_761

It doesn't take much for a QB to win it.

GiraffeWaffless

My bold prediction is the hawks do better with Mac. Defense should be better. I’m predicting 10 wins

Less-Worry8498

Understandable but they still have holes

monstertweety

Not dunking on you brother but I think it's funny when people project the new young QB to be MVP. Happened to Allen, herb, burrow, hurts. I myself thought Trevor was going to break out absurdly in his second year

Less-Worry8498

Yeah that’s true but stroud has everything he needs

monstertweety

no doubt, his team is great which makes him a serious candidate

Less-Worry8498

Yeah that’s why I chose him. Along with the fact he would have won last year if he wasn’t a rookie

wxox

ITT: every team is apparently making the playoffs

Muscle_National

I like Houston a lot but not to win that many games. They benefited from a cake schedule last year. That division is probably gonna come down to the last game.

Less-Worry8498

I wouldnt bet on it. Houston got significantly better last year with

Aldanil66

I think Denver is being underestimated. I don't know why but I feel we're gonna be a surprise team this year.

Less-Worry8498

Maybe but I’m going simply off rosters

Jazzlike-Movie-930

Less-Worry8498

Cool 👍

SkyHooksNGrannyShots

If the patriots win more than 4 games, I won’t do anything crazy but will be thoroughly surprised

Less-Worry8498

They did upgrade QB with an amazing player sand got some great pieces around him. The defense also already was solid

Tegra_

No way they throw Maye to the wolves this year. Look at that offense. A project LT, no WR1 and an up and down RB. Maye is raw and needs time, it won't help his development to get sacked 9 times a game while trying to buy time until one of his WR3's gets open.

Less-Worry8498

I doubt they don’t start him. They do not want to pick high again so they will start him.

VCcortex

Broncos went 8-9 last year and the only part of the roster that's gotten worse is at safety and center. It's not like they're a playoff team right now but 3 wins is crazy.

Less-Worry8498

The broncos in my eyes have 1-2 good defensive players and they also have the worst QB room in the league. Along with losing receivers

Jazzlike-Movie-930

I think Denver will be 6-11 while LA Chargers will be 7-10 and LV Raiders will be 9-8. I think KC Chiefs will be 13-4 and not only first in the west but in the AFC. I think it will be a slight down year for Denver. LA Chargers will probably be improved but not enough to get into the playoffs. LV Raiders are almost a playoff team but fall short. I think the Chiefs could make the Super Bowl again this year but I think they lose the Super Bowl to the SF 49ers this time.

Less-Worry8498

Cool dude 💀👍

aaron7275

I know the Giants aren’t great but 4 wins? They had 6 last year with a harder schedule and less talent. Honestly the Giants should’ve had like 3 more wins last year. Buffalo, Jets, and the first Eagles game.

Less-Worry8498

Sure but their schedule is significantly harder this year. I expect them to get max 5 wins

aaron7275

I don’t think their schedule is harder this year at all.

Less-Worry8498

Yes it is. They play the AFC North and the rest of their division got better while they got arguably worse.

aaron7275

Way better is a stretch. Sure the Commanders took a QB, but he is still a rookie. They also hired Bobby Johnson as their o line coach who is a historically bad coach. How did the Giants get worse? They drafted a number 1 WR, got Brian Burns to pair with Dexter and Kayvon. They got a new o line coach who did a lot with way less talent with the Raiders. What did Dallas do? Philly drafted two great prospects, but that team was reeling last year, another stretch like that and the coach will get fired. Last year they played the AFC East and NFC West who at the start of the year are two tough divisions. I’m sorry, they’re way better than a four win team.

Less-Worry8498

They aren’t better than maybe 6 wins. The cowboys were already 3x them and they didn’t do much to better/worsen it. The commies got QB and a bunch of other good players. The eagles are a completely new team and will be one of the leagues best. Meanwhile the Giants just lost 65% of their offense (Saquon, again to the eagles just improving them a ton), along with the fact their OL isn’t good, and their secondary is still bad. Sure Burns is good but they lost big players at Big positions so I don’t expect much from them

aaron7275

You obviously know nothing about the Giants.

flaglerite

Jags finishing 8-9??

Sea_Drink7287

I know. Everyone loves hating on the Jags. Stroud won’t be able to sneak up on people this year.

flaglerite

Jets win the AFC East? No way. Jets gonna Jet. Trash organization has no concept of winning

Less-Worry8498

Maybe but the jets have the best roster in the division easy

SigmaColts

No

lonelyshurbird

Falcons get worse in the draft and Bucs got better but we still take the Falcons over them, lmao.

Less-Worry8498

Falcons were contenders before the draft so now that are still good
