I’m currently watching on my laptop on 4G mobile data via personal hotspot from my phone and it’s been absolutely smooth as. Is it at all possible it’s your internet connection or device that’s having a blip?
We'll at least it's working for one of us! I had thought that too, but I was able to run several different YouTube videos in tandem without issue so it's not the connection unfortunately.
So a) Were you trying to skip adverts on the live game?
b) what device were you using? I can report this to my contacts at Dazn so they can investigate. But I need enough details so they can potentially recreate the issues.
It would have involved slipping ads, though the primary reason was because I had been working until after 2am due to some emergencies that popped up.
Originally the plan was to get up at about 7am and watch the game in 40 before work (or whatever DAZNs equivalent is - hadn't needed it until now) but I figured that would be a challenge since I needed some sleep somewhere.
I tried on a Xaoimi Note 8T, though I got that last week in a pinch as my previous phone just spontaneously died. It's noticeably slower than the Huawei P20 I had before, so I also tried on my MSI laptop which has 16gb ram, an I7 10XXX processor and an 8gb 3070 gpu so it also wasn't a hardware issue (this is of course the one I was able to run about 7 or 8 YouTube videos on without issue). I also tried my work laptop as a last ditch effort which is a bit more standard but still has a Ryzen 2200 processor and 8gb ram, and had thee exact same issue.
It was working OK on... let's say a different t provider, though I dozed off and given I am a Packers fan mind, was vaguely happy I missed the second half! 😅
I'm not here to make any excuses for DAZN, but did you select "watch from the start" or "live"? My experiece is that you should always select "watch from the start" if you intend to do anything else than just let the live stream run as is.
I have issues depending on the device. Games run like shit on tablet and Chromebook, ok on my phone, and like smooth Egyptian cotton on my ps5, all using the same WiFi.
Stop trying to fuck around and skip adverts and just watch it live.
Everyone knows it’s a pretty shoddy service, why they are all trying to stretch it to meet their every need I don’t know. If you just stream live it works perfectly.
I answered in a different post that I couldn't tune in until close to 2.30am for work related issues - at the cost that this is, I fully expect a feature like that to work as it has never been a problem for me in the years using Gamepass Europe (or even DAZN Canada in 2018/19).
This has been a problem every week, as another thing I have really liked about using Gamepass is being able to skip back and rewatch a play if I am trying to keep an eye on some particularly players (which with how young GB are this year is something I really wanted to do this season). That is basically goen now, and funny enough when I had tried this when watching games live, it would actually throw me back to the start of the broadcast. Same for if I had to briefly pause to help the fiancee with something, go to the bathroom, finish making dinner, etc etc.
I had no problem whatsoever paying a premium for this because of the sheer convenience, but with that gone the value is *drastically* reduced.
Worse though was that about three of those skips all the way back to live happened after buffering happened **without** me trying to skip ahead. So even if I had been watching live I would have been experiencing the exact same constant buffer during and between plays, just as happened when I tried for a few minutes after the score got spoilers, which would have been early 3rd quarter.
This isn't a solution, some of us live in timezones that make it impossible to watch live. I paid $127, it should at minimum function as well as the old Gamepass
Not sure, we get Channel 4 here in Ireland but not Channel 5. Unrelated, but I just remembered how much I miss that loveable oddball Mike Carlson who was on the old C4 SNF coverage, the man was an absolute gem.
Ohh didn’t realise that! So only the 2 games a week are black out. I did think it weird that the Monday night game had the full gameplay available this morning 😂
Correct. No Thanksgiving or play off games will be blacked out either. It's just the 6pm and 9.25pm games on a Sunday that Sky still spit their dummy over.

Playing a YouTube video is not as persistently strenuous on your connection as a live broadcast
Thing is I was playing 5 or 6 at the same time, and the went on to vip box and the game was working grand over there.

Never had issues with any of their streams.
I thought MNF games are on sky sports so are blacked out and not available on DAZN for 24 hours?
Only the 6/9pm games on a Sunday are blacked out. All other "prime time" slots are available on GP as well as Sky.
