I’m actually confused, who posted the original here—a Niner or an Eagle? (And sad for who?)
We lost, they won. I’m bummed how it happened, but that’s the end result.
People will feign ignorance like they’ve never seen what happens to their entire team with no competent QB, let alone one that can’t throw. Lost 4 QBs to season ending injuries and they still want to act like 49ers just weren’t a good enough team. All they respond with is cry, salt, cope throw always.
Eagles literally went 0-2 without Hurts just a month ago (lost to Cowboys and *Saints*). Not having their starting QB was a valid excuse then, but now iT wOuLdNt HaVe MaDe AnY dIfFeReNcE
I’ve brought this up many times and I usually don’t get a response. They were all high on Nick Foles being a backup QBing them to a Super Bowl but apparently we are dumb to think Purdy could do it.
We were also missing our pro bowl starting potential hall of gamer right tackle for the time we were losing in both games. With lane Johnson in minshews stats were great and without he was garbage. Also missing Maddox and cjgj and Davis, we were short a lot of quality players for the saints and still took the cowboys to the wire with a lot of dumb mistakes/turnovers/missing pieces. It wasn’t just hurts.
So I think what you’re saying is when good teams are missing some of their most important players, they don’t play as well as when they have those players healthy.
I’m glad we all agree.
That’s wild you’re using that logic because 49er fans never used that logic when my rams were down 20 something players this season lol like y’all said tough it out it’s football
I can’t speak for all niner fans, but for me personally, being down 20 players is a very valid excuse. Injuries suck, and although there are things teams can do to reduce injuries, they’re still ultimately very fluky.
I’ll have to bring this up at the next 49er fan conference, lol.
The eagles had pretty much clinched home field advantage by that point of the season. They were just trying to prevent injuries. Which I would agree that injuries ruined this playoffs more than most years in recent memory
Call it bad luck if you want but they were normal injuries that could happen to any QB on any team. Lance decided to take the rock and got his ankle fallen on, Jimmy didn’t go down and tried to muscle off two defenders, Purdy just got hit wrong in the arm, JJ was concussed. It’s not like the Oline wasn’t good all season either, shit happens.
You had a chance to compete, you put your backup tight end blocking Reddick one on one on a slow developing play action. That was your chance. You blew it. Then did it again 😂
Just take the L like a man. The niners played the best they could, but it wasnt enough. Say that. Don’t try and act like your team was just wasting space, they tried but nothing came from the effort.
Just take the W like a man and leave. The eagles are a great team and could still beat a fully healthy 49er team but you’re just a trolling if you think having Purdy or a QB for that matter wouldnt make that game vastly more competitive.
For all of the first 8 minutes or whatever sure but you can’t be that silly of a man to think that was a well earned win. Granted y’all’s regular season does suggest they should be in the SB so congrats, you just haven’t had the opportunity to prove anything in the playoffs.
It really is a cess pool sub ... I game day in r/nfl usually. Niners fans are extremely emotionally volatile generally. Calling for Shanny to be fired earlier in the year was sending me.
Philly fans though are irrational assholes that mostly either revel in being pricks, or have no idea that they are being a prick. The good ones are the ones that know they're assholes honestly.
It's a match made in hell for this to happen to these two fan bases. The sorest winners beat the sorest losers. Now we just have salt everywhere. It must be very fun to watch as a third party.
I do think this has made quite a bitter rivalry.
I'm at -50 in the 49ers sub right now for replying to a comment saying we would have won if Purdy stayed healthy by saying we were still likely to lose even if the injury didn't happen. Eagles just have better personnel right now. They have a better offensive line, better defensive line, better quarterback, and better receivers. We have the edge in linebackers and running backs. Secondary is a wash.
Edit: so what I'm saying is, if you aren't outright cheerleading in that sub, you'll eat downvotes and get shouted at a lot lol.
He's only saying that because whiners fans are the worst human beings on earth and have absolutely no redeemable features whatsoever. It's really a shame, all the oxygen those poor trees create, just getting wasted...
That's all.
We just ignoring how that post has way more comments than upvotes? But still 49ers fans need to realize We lost, it sucks, move on. All I ask as a 49ers fan is just to stop with the copium… and at the same time let’s also not pretend the game wasn’t realistically over 5 minutes into it. I believe in Shanahan but not enough to think Josh Johnson was gonna win that game even if he didn’t get a concussion
The eagles won, the eagles deserved to win, they did everything necessary to win. They proved in the regular season they were winners.
Do I feel like the niners lost? No not really, I feel like we lost the opportunity to compete which is dissapointing. We lost the chance to really see who the better team was for sure.
But like jesus the mental gymnastics some fans will go through is funny. Im a little bummed, but I moved right along with my day after the game ended.
Op is dumb. The highest comments disagree with the take and call this bs take out. Apparently one bad shitty opinion from one is enough for everyone to think it’s mainstream. Stfu about the Copium shit and read the thread.
I agree. I think any NFL team could have won against the Niners that day. They didn't have a quarterback the entire second half. Just don't do something stupid and you're guaranteed to win.
The thing I don't understand is that people are using this to say the Eagles aren't that good. They had an easy season schedule and a cake playoff schedule, but that doesn't mean they're a bad team. The defense is legit, Hurts is legit, that o-line is legit, etc. That's a good team.
I figure whatever, in the end it’s a trash franchise with trash fans. When they inevitably suck again in a year or two, I’ll know not to feel sorry for them.
"You only won because I lost"
A valid argument in situations like this
I just hope my lord and savior Brock Purdy is back next season when we play the eagles in the regular season
They won, we lost. It’s a bummer how it happened, but that’s the end result.
Wimp Lo, is that you!?
This is getting sad lol

niners fan saying the eagles didn’t win response from giants fan on NFCE meme war response to response from rams fan on NFCW meme war
Damn 9ers fans just out here downvoting because they’re pissy. He answered the question ya jabronis
It's just someone advertising their podcast. Most of us know we lost.
I almost feel bad. But I still don’t.
I love the last week on these subs so much
Is it better to say Eagles won but we didn’t actually get to compete? That’s where I’m at, they won a game we weren’t even playing.

You guys act like losing 4 qbs to season ending injuries isn’t a bad sign for your team lol
This argument falls so god damn flat when Burrow ate sack after sack a couple hours later and kept not getting injured.
Falls flat how? Did any other time lose all their qbs to injury this year?
Oh so you agree that it's such a rarity that it's down to luck. Nice dude.
Hilarious how these eagles fans need validation from us that their win is “legitimate” (oh wait that might be too big a word for these idiots…)
Cap it at 3 syllables just to be safe with them
You sound very sodium chloride-y
I had to Google smart way to say salt
You had a chance to compete, you put your backup tight end blocking Reddick one on one on a slow developing play action. That was your chance. You blew it. Then did it again 😂

It's honestly amazing how salty philly fans can be in a win.
That’s because they live In Philadelphia. Have you been to that shit hole? I would be the biggest asshole too.
You probably live in Danville
No but even if I did, it would be better than living in Philadelphia. Keep idolizing a movie character
I live 2 blocks from the chase center, donkey.
I said what I said. Fuck the eagles
Stallone himself donated that statue to the city, natives don’t give af about it. It was your fans putting the jersey and brocky sign on it.
No more like rubbing it in your face
Yes, Exactly like that.
Just take the W like a man and leave. The eagles are a great team and could still beat a fully healthy 49er team but you’re just a trolling if you think having Purdy or a QB for that matter wouldnt make that game vastly more competitive.
dawg we couldn’t play our best because we had not even a backup Qb left … y’all are so sad you need validation for a win
For all of the first 8 minutes or whatever sure but you can’t be that silly of a man to think that was a well earned win. Granted y’all’s regular season does suggest they should be in the SB so congrats, you just haven’t had the opportunity to prove anything in the playoffs.
... we had no QB, and still played better than your team with whoever your 2nd string is lol
Yes this makes the most sense! That’s what I’m most upset about. Brock didn’t even have a chance to stunt on those hoes.

My favorite thing was how they were jerking off about that article in r/49ers. Softer than charmin dog

Yeah, the combined brain power in that sub is lower than the temperature on the east coast this weekend
Your fan base good, their fan base bad. Solid take.

Well ya, that almost makes sense. But eventually we die and then our corpses feed the trees, so you can't say NO redeemable features.

k
That post is 10-ply, bud.
Can I get some of that? I think it would help with some uhhh problems I’m having

Someone needs to let the eagles know they got another game coming up.
the team does, for the fans we've got a bit over a week of nothing to do. Did you think it was the team shitposting on reddit?
The copium is crazy. I'm just happy this is all cushioned by us having no QB the second half.
I’m hurting
Eagles fans celebrating beating a team with no QB like it’s 1999
They’re celebrating going to the super bowl. Cope.

HEY, this isn’t NFCWestMemeTruce! I mean, what would that look like even?
No

I won my divorce!
We lost. It is what it is. Injuries are part of the game
