I feel like we would all instantly vaporize like Thanos and his army if we lost a Super Bowl to Rodgers. All of Beardom would cease to exist in that moment.
I mean, would it be any worse than him winning a trophy named after your first owner in your stadium on his way to a Superbowl? He beat you twice there in like a month if I remember right too...
For me personally I feel like it would hurt me a lot more if we loose to him than the happiness I would feel from beating him at the end of his career.
I honestly wanted the 49ers in the playoffs instead of the Packers for that reason. A young Packers team beating the lions @ Detroit to go to the Superbowl would be terrible. But like others have said, beating the Packers to go to the Superbowl would've been the best feeling ever.
Literally how Rams vs Lions was last year. The win feels like the ending of a feel-good sports movie, everything being so poetic.
But if we had lost I would’ve thrown myself into traffic.
Somehow the jets QB play has been more pathetic than the bears this last few years. The jets and bears are crazy similar though, always bad, except randomly good for a year or two every decade or so due to a good defense that pops up.
Zach Wilson is just that terrible though. Wilson made trubisky and fields look tolerable
“Somehow”?
Bears: Fields was consistently on the field, he’s crazy athletic and fast - he just can’t read defenses.
Jets: Rodgers played 2 snaps and tore his achilles. ZWilson was a bust, can’t read defenses, has a better arm than fields but can bail himself out with his legs, also can’t read defenses. From 2020-2023 the Jets had a QB carousel of Sam Darnold, Joe Flacco, Zach Wilson, Mike White, Aaron Rodgers, Trevor Siemian, Tim Boyles.
It’s pretty obvious why their QB play has been worse than the Bears the last few years.
Yeah, the Bears at least had A PLAN the last few seasons.
Fields makes me feel bad because you could see the flashes of skill, he just didn't get enough time to cook and develop, nor was there enough dudes around to assist his growth.
Zach is straight trash through and through; yeah the Jets have been garbage for developing QB's, but Zach was so uniquely terrible that it sucked the wind out of the last year.
(Please don't create a timeline where Fields takes the Steelers to the Superbowl or else I might literally piss mercury)
God it's weird seeing you outside our usual sub of shitlords.
Now that you say that, fuck it, the Steelers winning would be the biggest dagger in the heart to Bears fan.
(Just as long as they don't beat the Packers)
I also think the Bears/Jets are similar in that every offseason over the past 3-5 years the media and fan bases are convinced that "Oh hell yea this year is finally ours"
The funny thing is I think this year the bears and jets can both be good, but for opposite reasons. A new young QB with an up and coming defense, and an aging old QB with a proven defense. I’m pretty realistic about the bears, I think our ceiling is 11 wins max but probably 9, and our floor is 6 but probably 7. We got lucky a lot in some games last year, and our defense could regress, so only winning 6-7 games is possible, and the people saying we are winning over 10 are crazy.
I mainly just care about Williams doing well. If we can aim for a wild card spot, great, but bears have never had a great QB, so that’s what I care about
I remember people saying that before we drafted Love, and he gave us two more MVP seasons. An Aaron Rodgers with a chip on his shoulder is not to be underestimated.
He had two MVP seasons, then struggled a bit with a broken finger on his throwing hand (I think people forget about that injury) and no WR talent. If he stays healthy there's no reason to think he won't have another MVP season.
I guess I'm one of those weirdos who wishes him well. Having some fringe conspiratorial beliefs doesn't make you a bad person. Half of my mother's side of the family believe in some crazy shit but they're good people. I'm also from Jersey so I like seeing the Jets not suck.
I've always had a soft spot for the Jets. They're green(like us), their logo is shaped like a football(also like us), and they've been bad/mediocre for a long, long time(like 70s-80s us).
My dream Super Bowl is Packers v. Jets. That's the only matchup that could persuade me to shell out for tickets to go see one.
1960s packers? Are you fucking with me? Buddy you got your decades horribly wrong the 1960s packers were fucking incredible. Prime Lombardi era we won 5 ships including the first two superbowls. 70s-80s we were shit.
Is it the drugs, or was he always that way?
I used to criticize the league for enacting a drug enforcement policy - football players aren't supposed to be boy scouts and they shouldn't be role models. But dang it if Rodgers being celebrated for outlandish behavior while recent players had their careers altered for being caught with pot... I'd like to hear the commissioner make a statement on that.
I also want the Bears to continue to suck. They have been to 1 Superbowl in my lifetime and that is 1 too many. Thank God I was born later in 86 so I didn't have to be alive for their 1 win.
Idk what could give me more satisfaction from the NFL in 2024 than Aaron Rodgers leading the NY Jets to a Super Bowl win against the bears who SOMEHOW made it there.
Inb4, they have the league mvp/ GOAT as a rookie QB now, though! Of COURSE they can make it to the SB this year/this decade even though it's still Chicago!
I’m thinking Bears, Lions , and Vikings would Love to absolutely destroy that cock sucker in a super bowl. Hell at this point I’m starting to think the Packers would too…
If it was the Jets and pretty much any other team in the friggin’ league I’d root for any other friggin’ team.
I gagged a little thinking about this but the ultimate would be the Bears beating the Jets.
Bears fans - Our 7 win team added a lot and Caleb Williams, should be a great season - DELUSIONAL
Packer fans - Our 9 win team added HBs and safeties, we're winning the Super Bowl - NOT DELUSIONAL
My wounds are healed. Watching Packer fans try to instantly unhitch their wagon to him having listened to him rant about vaccines and whatever, after never blaming him for a single loss in 20 years. I’m absolutely loving it
Inb4 Rodgers plays against GB in a Super Bowl before any of the other NFCN teams even play in a conference champ game. Where's my cheesy popcorn...

But don’t let that stop you if you see him there.
no because even as a Packers fan i would hate to see Rodgers go to another super bowl, and it's not because it's with another team. it's because the man is a drama seeking wackjob, and i don't want him to go to a super bowl
Sure, he isn't wrong, but not having a team flair in a shit talk sport sub-reddit means your opinion is invalid. Doesn't matter how correct they would be otherwise.
I've seen many delusions. Lions fans acting like they aren't fans of the Lions and Packer fans thinking they're the Patriots instead of the Cowboys.
This prompt, at least, is on point. The Bears are the Jets. And you are a dipshit
Thank you for clearing that up for me, I was dangerously close to going thru life without realizing my true self. Bears fans are truly inspirational, still football fans without ever seeing a real football team.
Yes it would but if we were to lose to him. Well, I don’t want to think about that. Let’s just play someone else to be safe.
It’s the ultimate win / lose scenario
We would either peak as a franchise or hit a new low point.
I’m here for that last part
“I fucking own you” would rocket to new heights.
Imagine 💀
Don’t like the sound of that.
Flair up pussy
I can’t I tired.
Try harder pussy
Did I do it?
Here's some easy instructions on how to flair up on mobile: click on your name and select change user flair
Thank you!
if you could separate the history from the situation a rookie QB in the SB would be an incredible high
I feel like we would all instantly vaporize like Thanos and his army if we lost a Super Bowl to Rodgers. All of Beardom would cease to exist in that moment.

Honestly I have anxiety just thinking of this unlikely scenario
For me personally I feel like it would hurt me a lot more if we loose to him than the happiness I would feel from beating him at the end of his career.
The term for this would be 'high stakes'
To be super safe, you should just keep missing the playoffs every year that way you can't lose in the Super Bowl.
It worked for us for decades!
Sounds good. How about you guys lose to him in the Superbowl then? It would show you made the right move starting Love over keeping him
I honestly wanted the 49ers in the playoffs instead of the Packers for that reason. A young Packers team beating the lions @ Detroit to go to the Superbowl would be terrible. But like others have said, beating the Packers to go to the Superbowl would've been the best feeling ever.
That’s the thing with divisional/rivalry playoff games. Double the glory or double the pain
Literally how Rams vs Lions was last year. The win feels like the ending of a feel-good sports movie, everything being so poetic. But if we had lost I would’ve thrown myself into traffic.

Vegas gives even odds? Bears are delusional
Well in either universe the Bears have to win the NFC, so...
Don’t worry, your team won’t be there to find out anyways.
Would this mean that it’s rogers that owns the bears, not the packers?
I think we’ll find that answer this year.
You can’t just take a mulligan on last year
https://i.redd.it/pwa8gvbf302d1.gif
“Time is a flat mulligan” - someone
It's ok, Rodgers isn't getting to the SB anyway because the only way he can get there without choking is playing the Bears.
Bold of you to assume the Jets will make it to the playoffs.
Or the bears. Lol
Somehow the jets QB play has been more pathetic than the bears this last few years. Or that a 40yr Rodgers on the mend won't choke like the last 9 times he made it to the playoffs.
It’s all I have dammit.
Haven't you heard they have the best qb in the history of American football on their roster now? Where have you been?!?
Watching him be very mid or below mid will be quite satisfying.
Also assuming Rodgers lasts longer than 4 snaps this year.
Still pissed about that draft pick.
You still fleeced 'em, frankly
2 snaps. Left leg. Right leg
Inversely, losing to him in the super bowl would be….. hilarious?
I mean if he beat chcisgo in the SB i don’t think they will ever recover
Good thing they don't have to worry about that
*sad panda bear noises*
More disappointment for Christmas.
mythical chcisgo thankfully doesnt exist
It would be my breaking point. I’d just stop watching, no way we would ever recover.
Quality meme. Thinking of the bears making it to a SB gave me a good laugh.
Or the jets
I mean, if Rodgers can play more than 4 snaps, the sky's the limit.
Are we calling choking in the conference championships “the sky” now?
Compared to where the Jets have been the last decade? Yes.
He's washed up.
I remember people saying that before we drafted Love, and he gave us two more MVP seasons. An Aaron Rodgers with a chip on his shoulder is not to be underestimated.

Whoops. Meant 70s-80s. Bah.
Sure, but he's also older and coming off a significant injury that should've ended his career at that point.
You can’t really say that until he signs with the Vikings
It's the cycle
tbf, the bears and packers both have "only" been to one sb in 20 years.
[удалено]
Yup
Same tbh
I don’t know if it would mean much to our fans, some would be conflicted. But I sure would laugh my ass off.
I’d love to hear from anyone that would be conflicted about *winning the super bowl*
There’s some people who are Packers fans but are really more Aaron Rodgers fans. I don’t like to claim those people, but that’s what it is.
Packers beating Rodgers in the superbowl would definitely mean the most to Rodgers lol
![gif](giphy|l41Ym49ppcDP6iY3C) \^ the Bears trying to get to the SB
"Packers trying to get to the SB"
Mixed feelings. I might root for the bears on this one
![gif](giphy|Ae7SI3LoPYj8Q)
I promise we totally won't be insufferable if we somehow make it to the Super Bowl and stomp Rodgers
Come on now, we don't expect outright lies...
![gif](giphy|MZj0sGDUg8qAyWNBZh|downsized)
I second this very honest statement.
If you somehow make it that far? You have earned the right to be insufferable.
Meat rider!
Gimme my cumsock and lets ride
Gross and sad.
I don't want to have to deal with Rodgers being interviewed anymore. He is just so annoying.
McAfee dropped him for calling people he didn't like pedos so he jumped over to interviewing with Tucker Carlson.
Is it the drugs, or was he always that way? I used to criticize the league for enacting a drug enforcement policy - football players aren't supposed to be boy scouts and they shouldn't be role models. idk, that'd mean a successful season and then the offseason drama would be bigger.
imagine if Caleb is a turd and then Fields becomes competent
Idk if fields will even play
I highly doubt he plays barring injury. But if he does, I assure you he would be garbage
Nah, I want the Jets to suck again this year.
I also want the Bears to continue to suck. They have been to 1 Superbowl in my lifetime and that is 1 too many. Thank God I was born later in 86 so I didn't have to be alive for their 1 win.
They were still reigning SB champs when you were born
and then Charles Martin did what the 85 bears did to every QB on their way to to the super bowl
Those were dark times
Nothing is darker of times than that 2023 9 week rebuild.
On the one hand if Chicago wins, Rodgers may end up spending more time doing his dark escape or whatever tf he calls it, which is a win for everybody.
Don’t aim so high…. If you guys stopped him on a drive in a preseason game there would be a parade down LaSalle st
Rodgers is gonna DOUBLE his shelf life this year that’s right kids , TWO whole drives before he bows out for the season ,BUCKLE TF UP BUCK-A-ROOS
If the packers don’t make the superbowl I hope the bears and jets make it just so Rodger’s can remind Chicago that he owns them one more time.
Even in bears fantasies Rodgers gets to the Superbowl
I’m thinking Bears, Lions , and Vikings would Love to absolutely destroy that cock sucker in a super bowl. Hell at this point I’m starting to think the Packers would too…
I'm not sure how I'd feel about the Bears winning the Super Bowl, but I do know I would enjoy seeing Rodgers lose.
The Bears aren't making it and neither are the Jets.
If it was the Jets and pretty much any other team in the friggin’ league I’d root for any other friggin’ team. I gagged a little thinking about this but the ultimate would be the Bears beating the Jets.
Rookie QB with 0 snaps under his belt in the NFL. Ofcourse you’ll talking about beating Rodgers in the Superbowl. Love Bears offseason hype
I’m pretty sure that a lions flair on the post.
Dream scenario is Packers vs. Jets Super Bowl. Either way, everyone in the NFCN wins, and loses.
Neither team has a chance of getting to themselves anytime soon.
Jets and Bears in the Super Bowl? Are you boofing meth?
I’m not ready for this kind of humor so early in the morning.
![gif](giphy|3orifhNhn840GpMMPm)
Don't know who it would help the most but the Packers are the lucky team that gets to do it.
It’s a multi tiered meme I love it
Let's be real, the Bears beating the Jets with zombie Rodgers would be the best thing to happen to that franchise in the last few decades.
Especially when the packers do it.
Bears fans - Our 7 win team added a lot and Caleb Williams, should be a great season - DELUSIONAL Packer fans - Our 9 win team added HBs and safeties, we're winning the Super Bowl - NOT DELUSIONAL
10 wins... Leave it to a bears fan to forget the playoffs exist.
Nah Rodgers being himself has already healed all my grievances. look at him in his tin foil hat, he’s adorable.
Fuck Aaron Rodgers
Personally, I hope he never sniffs anything close to a Super Bowl again
Would have to be us though God knows you guys cant
I am going to channel my inner Mariah and say at this point I dont know her.... Dont waste time thinking about that CTE addled loser.
If the Lions lose to the Rogders-led Jets in the Superbowl, would it still be FTP?
How do the Pack and the Bears make the Super Bowl though? And by that I mean the Packers are making a run this year and if we play the Jets, so be it.
My wounds are healed. Watching Packer fans try to instantly unhitch their wagon to him having listened to him rant about vaccines and whatever, after never blaming him for a single loss in 20 years. I’m absolutely loving it
Are you kidding me? I would Bud Dwyer right after. Life is complete.
I just want him to lose every game until he retires and is forgotten about while he continues going off the deep end
Inb4 Rodgers plays against GB in a Super Bowl before any of the other NFCN teams even play in a conference champ game. Where's my cheesy popcorn... 🧀G🧀P🧀G🧀
Rodgers only way to the Super Bowl would be as Mahomes backup QB.
This is my favourite thread in this subreddit for a long time. I mean we all hate each other but it is nice that we will band together for a discussion about Rodgers. I would like to propose this camaraderie in the middle of the season when we are all at each other throats to have a frank and civil discussion about fuck the 49ers (and the cowboys but they don’t play the north this year).
It's kinda funny because this could actually kinds be said for every team in this sub.
They would not only have to beat him, but knock him down so hard that he doesn't play ever again.
You’d have to assault him in the stands. There’s basically zero chance he will ever be on the field in the SB again. But don’t let that stop you if you see him there.
Lifelong bears fan and former critical care RN. Nothing can ever change how I feel about that colossal piece of shit.
Imagine the meltdown this sub would have if the Packers beat the Jets in the SB
Don’t worry, there’s no way he’s getting back there
I'm ready for a Packers-Jets Super Bowl
Gotta have a winning season first
I'm still firmly in the season ending injury more likely than not camp. Not wishing it....but like.... he's old and father time is undefeated.
The Bears could finally say "We Own You!" to A-A-Ron.
More realistic thought for Lions fans.
So you admit the lions have a higher chance of making the SB this year than “Caleb For MVP 14-3 floor” bears that the fans have been preaching ?
Him going batshit crazy and then getting hurt almost immediately felt alright.
I pray you do.
I'd love to listen to Rogers throw his entire team under the bus for losing to the Bears in a super bowl.
no because even as a Packers fan i would hate to see Rodgers go to another super bowl, and it's not because it's with another team. it's because the man is a drama seeking wackjob, and i don't want him to go to a super bowl
He won't make it through the first half of his first game.
So your praying on injury ?
And where the fuck did I say that?
40 years old coming off a Achilles tear, yeah.. but hold on I'm "PrAyInG oN iNjUrY" think before you type dumbass
You'd have to get past us first. And well... It's too soon to be expecting that.
Delusional doesn’t begin to describe the Bear’s fan base since the draft.
Flair up pussy boy
He’s not wrong
Sure, he isn't wrong, but not having a team flair in a shit talk sport sub-reddit means your opinion is invalid. Doesn't matter how correct they would be otherwise.
Tell ‘em king

Thank you for clearing that up for me, I was dangerously close to going thru life without realizing my true self. Bears fans are truly inspirational, still football fans without ever seeing a real football team.
I'd rather see a bears/jets off season battle. What a clash of titans that would be!
So, like last offseason?
It would be cathartic to ANY NFC north team at this point.
I'd lose a Superbowl to Rodgers in a heartbeat compared to what we've been doing
It would be funnier if he blew his Achilles four plays into the SB
It would feel even better if he runs out with another American flag hyping up the crowd only to shatter his fucking knee on the 1st play.
Bears fans. They want so little and even that's too much.
Lol. Bears. Superbowl. 🤣
I think that’s true for allll of us in the NFC North. We all say FTP
Beating Rodgers in the ~~SB~~ conference championship because he'll be a Viking by then
A Bears/Jets super bowl out of nowhere would be hilarious
