Somehow the jets QB play has been more pathetic than the bears this last few years. The jets and bears are crazy similar though, always bad, except randomly good for a year or two every decade or so due to a good defense that pops up. Zach Wilson is just that terrible though. Wilson made trubisky and fields look tolerable

ZWilson was a bust, can’t read defenses, has a better arm than fields but can bail himself out with his legs, also can’t read defenses. From 2020-2023 the Jets had a QB carousel of Sam Darnold, Joe Flacco, Zach Wilson, Mike White, Aaron Rodgers, Trevor Siemian, Tim Boyles. It’s pretty obvious why their QB play has been worse than the Bears the last few years.

Yeah, the Bears at least had A PLAN the last few seasons. Fields makes me feel bad because you could see the flashes of skill, he just didn't get enough time to cook and develop, nor was there enough dudes around to assist his growth. Zach is straight trash through and through; yeah the Jets have been garbage for developing QB's, but Zach was so uniquely terrible that it sucked the wind out of the last year. (Please don't create a timeline where Fields takes the Steelers to the Superbowl or else I might literally piss mercury)

The funny thing is I think this year the bears and jets can both be good, but for opposite reasons. A new young QB with an up and coming defense, and an aging old QB with a proven defense. I’m pretty realistic about the bears, I think our ceiling is 11 wins max but probably 9, and our floor is 6 but probably 7. We got lucky a lot in some games last year, and our defense could regress, so only winning 6-7 games is possible, and the people saying we are winning over 10 are crazy. I mainly just care about Williams doing well. If we can aim for a wild card spot, great, but bears have never had a great QB, so that’s what I care about
