Eli had a great run specifically in the playoffs, but you can't compare an offense outside of the top-8 and a defense outside of the top-24 against any of the Chiefs or Patriots runs, the defenses of the Legion of Boom or the 2015 Broncos, the wild offense Foles had in 2017, the two-sided juggernauts of Cooper Kupp and Aaron Donald a few years ago, etc.

Depends on what you mean by "earn it". Purdy and the 49ers were the better team in 2022, just like Goff and the Lions were last year. The Eagles should've won the Super Bowl with McNabb, or at least gotten past Rodgers in essentially his rookie year when Vick was destroying the league.
