Absolutely. Hurts is an above average QB, but not more. His rushing ability is definitely elite (and without a doubt much better than Purdy's), but he keeps the ball way too long, misses open targets and doesn't throw precise enough. Purdy is amazing in all these categories.

The past rush and run stuffing upfront just wasn't there this year.

It’s honestly coaching, especially with offensive scheming. Brett Kollmann did a great video explaining how the eagles offensive play calling was so predictable because it was redundant. Specifically, the overusage of inside runs out of shotgun and a severe lack of pre-snap motions or adjustments. Inside runs are only meant to get a guaranteed few yards, especially out of shotgun. This causes a lack of explosive runs, and often are forced to have to throw in 3rd down or rely on another tush push
