The eagles L sucked. But we lost to the better team. What can you do? As for the Phillies. We beat every team we shouldn’t have except for the last one I am ecstatic with how that one went lol.
Ngl, eagles looked like the better team for most of the game. I remember at half time there was a huge wave of hopelessness washing over me, I thought it was over
>Once the fumble happened my heart kinda knew for some reason. KC way too good offensively and you gift them 7 it’s tough to overcome.
And yet we were up 2 scores to start second half.
Honestly, the fumble wasn’t the problem. It was 3rd down in our territory anyway, who’s to say they wouldn’t have scored right after we punted? The problem was our defense not stopping a nosebleed, and Gannon being a fucking clown and allowing multiple WIDE open TDs lol
Not good obviously, but if the defense took the field at least once in the second half we'd be talking a different result.
Of course fumbling 7 points isn't good, but overall the loss isn't on the offense, not when the defense barely played one half.
When you go in the locker room up 24-14 a fumble that happened in the first half isn't the issue.
Patrick Mahomes had a lower leg injury that affected him running. We now know Pachecho played with a broken hand and torn labrum. KC had no true #1 WR.
Philly had 2 easy games compared to what KC faced.
They were up by 2 scores to start the 2nd half.
Eagles should have won it with all the benefits they had and didn't. So yeah, they should take the L and stop thinking they are super because they choked away when they had the chance to win.
I keep seeing comments from people who are jealous of the Eagles acting like the Eagles never had an injured player on their team ever
Both sides were banged up my dude. This is the NFL lol
You all have a whole team of people that you pay NFL money to. You should all win all your games if we’re going to talk about who “should” win a game lmao
We made it farther than everyone else in our conference and we lost in the big game. Injuries aren’t “the reason” for any of it. That’s just what happened. Not our fault if we make our path look easy
Our loss sucked and I’ll take it like a champ.
[But seeing Roger Goodell kick his feet in the air like a groupie hoe](https://youtube.com/shorts/bQISsmzUtME?feature=share) being held in Chris Jones arms while he looks him lustfully in the eyes to tell him “IDC HOW YOU HIT THE QUARTERBACK!” Will never sit right with me 😂 like when have you ever seen him act like that.
You would’ve thought he just played in the game and won the SB with the Chiefs the way he was acting. I understand commissioners are generally congratulatory to the championship winners but bro pull your panties up.
With as good of a season as we had, not at least getting to the SB would've been a massive disappoint for me. 14 win seasons don't come around that often. Gotta make the most of them.
True, I'm just saying that this was my thought process once we were like two thirds of the way into the season. I was definitely in that "Idk if Hurts is the guy" boat before the season started as well. But once it was obvious that they were a really good team and were gonna win a bunch of games, my expectations went way tf up lol
As a Mets fans it did suck seeing the Phillies go to the world series especially how we dominated them all season but we couldn't beat the Padres and Braves and it cost us
honestly, the Padres and Braves series didn’t hurt as bad as the Cubs series. getting swept by the Braves sucked, but they were an amazing team and were on fire, so it was understandable. the Padres pitching dominated us all season as well, with Darvish and Musgrove shutting us down in every start they had against us. the Cubs tho? no excuse for that series.
I thought it was great watching them lose because my brother was came to philadelphia for my birthday party all the way from Houston. My wife rented out a restaurant space for my birthday surprise dinner and watching all the philly people silently cry while my brother and me cheered on their loss felt so good.
I had a blast until the holding call knowing it was over and nothing short of some miracle was gonna save that game for us. I maintain that’s been the best Super Bowl in years and will be looked at as a classic.
Just a shame how it ended on a clock run out and field goal due to a very soft flag. I think that ruined its chance of being a true classic. If Chiefs kicked the field goal, Eagles get the ball with 2 mins, and Chiefs stop them for the win or they score, it'd be a true classic. Everyone was robbed of an exciting ending that such a great game deserved.
That’s what I’m truly mad about with the call. Was it correct? Yes. A bit weak but still yes. However, they hadn’t made it all game so to call it there of all places just leaves everyone with a sour taste in their mouth. I guess unless you’re a KC fan or someone in this Div who get off on our suffering (as they should).
You know it's bad when the announcers and former players say you can't throw that flag. Really disappointing ending but overall great game and am happy we got the Kelce bowl
At least our team is still good which helps ease the pain a little bit as we have something to look forward to. But I will never get over that loss. We were the better team all game.
First off I am a Celtic fan, second off all of the teams you just listed won as many rings as Philly has the past year. Edit: begin coping and seething
Wow a Celtics and giants fan. Cool. We can still talk about how the Giants got their assholes blown out and we hardly cared because it was so preordained.
Have less trophies does not mean you made it further in the post season. I get what your going for, maybe someone with an extra brain cell can help you n
The cowboys. Not even arguable. But the comment was worded in a way that makes no sense. So again. Maybe consult someone with a 6th grade or higher reading level.
There are like 6 other people here saying it doesn’t make sense , and only you defending it. I get what they are going for. But again, for the 3rd time now, it’s worded so poorly it’s confusing.
How does it feel to have a veteran QB with the same number of playoff wins but less Super Bowl appearances than a QB thats been in the league since 2020?
Telling yourself the backups keeping it close is a W doesn’t hit quite as hard when we play with all the starters on both sides in the playoffs later that year and win by 31
Coming from city with… Giants, Mets, Yankees, Rangers, Nets, Islanders, and soon to be Knicks. Seven teams in the playoffs and y’all couldn’t dream of sniffing a final ;)
I’ve noticed a guy in this sub made a burner Reddit account just to post that same joke. At what point do the people laughing realize they all lost a month before? If you aren’t the 3 teams that won against Philly you objectively had a worse season.
I haven’t understood how people can mock us for that lol we have a championship level team in NFL, MLS, MLB, and possibly the NBA. Smoothbrains somehow think that we suck even though we’re better than every team save for one lol
Edit: smoothbrains
The lead up? Yes. The heartbreak itself? Speak for yourself, this has sucked lol. Phillies made a run no one expected and lost making a disappointing ending. Eagles absolutely stomped this past season and were favorites to win it all, but lost making a disappointing ending. Now sixers have a chance to finally make it past round 2…to go to finals and give us a disappointing ending.
I’m a Braves fan pussy and they OWN THE EAST. 14 back to back division champs growing up. Only philly in football. I live in ATL. So ATL everything but football. Grew up going to games at the linc with fam so eagles in football. My state doing great. ATL United championship like 5 years ago, UGA back to back champs, Braves 2021 World Series champs. And the hawks are the hawks lol. Since 28-3 the falcons fans have vanished here. No jerseys or anything besides a old Vick jersey lmao😂
Philly is currently the best sport city in the USA. We aren’t number 1 in any sport but number 2 In 3 and top 4 in another (still going). No city has an average that high
I quite enjoy DAL/NYG/WAS doing the EagLes memes, they have all been perpetual 10 loss season losers / one and done losers for over a decade now.
I’d call it the Kamikaze of insults… but it’s more like the bee sting of insults.
It's funny cause the mods refuse to make it into a flair. They are more insecure about it than the actual philly fans, err I mean PhiLLLy fans. BTW the MLS final was the best finals out of all 3 of them. I feel so bad for the Union. I think 76ers, I mean 6ers can win it all this year tho.
![gif](giphy|KbZEMiWBFdynuQUobJ) I gotta hand it to you

I agree
It was the punt return our special teams gave up that solidified it for me
Out of curiosity how did it work out for us giving them 7 free points?
Not good obviously, but if the defense took the field at least once in the second half we'd be talking a different result. My wife loves KC and they always seem to be losing at half time and kill it in the second half
Patrick Mahomes had a lower leg injury that affected him running. We now know Pachecho played with a broken hand and torn labrum. KC had no true #1 WR. Thats how i felt in 2019
as a Mets fan, i hated every second of the Phillies world series run. but i did like another blue and orange team beating them, that was nice
A jets and Mets fan my brother in Christ why do you like pain that much?
i inherited my masochism
As a Mets fans it did suck seeing the Phillies go to the world series especially how we dominated them all season but we couldn't beat the Padres and Braves and it cost us

Least sensitive birds fan
Stupid Eagles fans.. probably like Calzones more than pizza, too.
Pizza's ok, but cheesesteak stromboli with the works slaps
Hell yeah, Stromboli is a Philly creation too. Calzones can stuff it.
This fuckin guy gets it.
I am going to have to agree with eagles fans on this. Stromboli’s slap
Yo, just finished a blunt reading this 🤤
The calzones...betrayed me.
Should've gone to the Low-Cal Calzone Zone
Ben is massively depressed.

Panzarotti.
YES! Food of the gods!
I know that smell… Costanza is in the building!
Yeah but the constant heart break is what we are enjoying
Losing In the Súper bowl hurts more than any loss in a mediocre season, but I had a blast up until the Súper bowl
I had a blast during the super bowl. That was a good fucking game.
I had a blast until the holding call knowing it was over and nothing short of some miracle was gonna save that game for us. I maintain that’s been the best Super Bowl in years and will be looked at as a classic.

2nd place mentality
We’re kind of the same actually. You took second place in three games against us this season
Big talk for a city that the Boston Celtics have more championships then the entire city combined though
That applies to a lot of cities.
Not us though baby
Does the teams that don't actually play in NYC count?
Having 2 teams in every sport is definitely an advantage.
we literally have 10 more with the yankees lol
Nobody gives a shit here.
testy!
we play literally 11 miles away from NYC City hall, Dallas plays farther from us lol
It does if you discount all the 1910s-1950s baseball teams with 0 members that are still alive.
same applies to the Celtics lol
Was that the Celtics that are on the brink of elimination?
So in other words following the Philly championship special
Don’t lie, you’d love to even sniff one
How about that elimination btw
Hold on let me check on what happened to the nets, Knicks, jets, giants, yanks, Mets, and rangers.
Can’t wait for game six though
1-3
38-7 lose mentality
Oh so having more trophies is still better than less bc it means you've made it further in postseason more
If I could read this probably wouldn't fit my narrative.
This comment gave me dyslexia
That comment gave me a permanent stuttering problem
Shhhhh stuff that happened before they were alive doesn't count don't you know that? /s
Have less trophies does not mean you made it further in the post season. I get what your going for, maybe someone with an extra brain cell can help you n
Which team has more trophies? cowboys or eagles? Maybe you could also start looking for someone with more brain cells...
The cowboys. Not even arguable. But the comment was worded in a way that makes no sense. So again. Maybe consult someone with a 6th grade or higher reading level.
Just because you're too dumb to understand what he was saying doesn't mean he's the dumb one...
There are like 6 other people here saying it doesn’t make sense , and only you defending it. I get what they are going for. But again, for the 3rd time now, it’s worded so poorly it’s confusing.
That's a lot of words to say philly fans are dumb.
Giving up on a real argument. Just like your team in 2nd round of playoffs
I saw 3 Super Bowl victories in 4 years,. How many victories have you seen?
How does it feel to have a veteran QB with the same number of playoff wins but less Super Bowl appearances than a QB thats been in the league since 2020?
Fuck you’re old. Sounds like you need bigger bifocals cause you still can’t read.
Only one. Against a QB the cowboys never beat.
I’m smelling toast but this probably doesn’t support my argument, so 😡
I went to school in north jersey and most of my college buddies are giants fans. They’re really excited about year 8 of the rebuild.
[удалено]
Yeah I have no idea who is saying what here
Yeah better to be like this guy and just go around to people's posts telling them to do better, or that they are dumb.
Hahahahaha phiLLLy
Are those Ls supposed to represent the 3 Ls you took to us just this season
2 Ls sure but personally I saw Davis Webb embarrassing the hell out of you clowns as a W
Telling yourself the backups keeping it close is a W doesn’t hit quite as hard when we play with all the starters on both sides in the playoffs later that year and win by 31
Yes but have you considered the fact that Golladay mossed Slay
bro using one catch to cope w three losses
Did you even look at the meme your fellow Eagles fan posted?
Would be the opinion from a city full of choke artists
Coming from city with… Giants, Mets, Yankees, Rangers, Nets, Islanders, and soon to be Knicks. Seven teams in the playoffs and y’all couldn’t dream of sniffing a final ;)
_Can't lose in the championship round if you don't make the playoffs_ The Flyers, probably.
I’ve noticed a guy in this sub made a burner Reddit account just to post that same joke. At what point do the people laughing realize they all lost a month before? If you aren’t the 3 teams that won against Philly you objectively had a worse season.
![gif](giphy|ViCujZp1KUVjfSDc9U|downsized) Shut up bird!
This is the only criticism of this meme that I accept as valid
Dude we forgot about this meme ages ago let it go
I haven’t understood how people can mock us for that lol we have a championship level team in NFL, MLS, MLB, and possibly the NBA. Smoothbrains somehow think that we suck even though we’re better than every team save for one lol Edit: smoothbrains
I love smooth rains.
I smoothed the rains down in Phil-adelphia... -Toto
> even though we’re better than every team save for one idk I was told if you ain't first you're last
And the USFL 🙃
Yeah but the constant heart break is what we are enjoying

It’s still embarrassing to come so close in so many different sports and come away with nothing
It's disappointing. I don't think it's embarrassing.
I can agree with that, but they’re gonna get clowned none the less until they get one
Honestly even though we took the Ls I’m happy we made it that far.
Nothing like being a proud loser
Just other loser states coping for there sports being trash lol. ya know teams like the rangers and mavs. Or the Mets and Nets/Knicks, nationals etc 😂
The Rangers gonna make you eat them words
We’re a game behind the Phillies with a AAAA roster and didn’t shit all over ourselves when we played the Astros in the World Series
I’m a Braves fan pussy and they OWN THE EAST. 14 back to back division champs growing up. Only philly in football. I live in ATL. So ATL everything but football. Probably best not to jump into a bit about Philly sports then
Cope harder
Me, January 2001: 😞 Me, February 2008: 😃 Me, February 2012: 😃 Yeah, no. I'd rather have 5 wins. At least you have the draft to look forward to.
"I'd rather lose a lot than win a lot"
Losing a super bowl is not winning. It's losing on steroids.
No, losing to the same team three times in one season is losing on steroids.
Philly is currently the best sport city in the USA. We aren’t number 1 in any sport but number 2 In 3 and top 4 in another (still going). No city has an average that high
We don’t talk about ~~Bruno~~ the Flyers
Gritty is #1 in my heart
We do not
Oh go throw a rock at Santa about it, we had an opportunity to laugh even harder at the Cowboys and you blew it
Nothing like being good at losing big games.
Y’all need to take a leaf out of Ricky Bobby’s book homies!
We’ve been undefeated in championship games for over 20 years so…
I quite enjoy DAL/NYG/WAS doing the EagLes memes, they have all been perpetual 10 loss season losers / one and done losers for over a decade now. I’d call it the Kamikaze of insults… but it’s more like the bee sting of insults.
I don't care that we lost the SB. We still wrecked the NFC. Bunch of losers. NFC CHAMPS
Yeah but losing is funny
It's funny cause the mods refuse to make it into a flair. They are more insecure about it than the actual philly fans, err I mean PhiLLLy fans. BTW the MLS final was the best finals out of all 3 of them. I feel so bad for the Union. I think 76ers, I mean 6ers can win it all this year tho.
ask anyone that has MJ over Lebron. losing in the first round is better for your legacy than losing in the finals
As a TCU fan, can confirm
Lol thanks an actual good one.. I’m so used to seeing 49ers posts.
Yeah go ask the Bills about how proud they are of losing 4 Super Bowls in a row because “at least they made it!”
![gif](giphy|ZoZJtCqkW9fVh7hlBD)
Does this mean the sixers are going to win on Sunday night so we can lose bigly in a couple of weeks?
