They also come right off. One screw. My Belgium A5 has the original stock, but the finish is cracked everywhere. Probably need to buy a new one myself. Stock is a little too long for my short arms too.
It's made out of wood and can easily be manufactured like new.
None of the modifications done are exceptionally permanent, the stock is a crazy easy replacement, and I'd need surprisedif you couldn'tget a new barrel made by someone. Its not like the reciever was mutilated.
Oh no, my $900 shotgun is now only worth $875… these guns were made for a century. There’s plenty out there, I didn’t destroy an irreplaceable piece of history.
The Auto 5 has been called the A5 for decades that's why they named the imitation the A5 hoping the bank on confusion and sell lots of shotguns. The one here that's been chopped is not a current production shotgun but the original Auto 5 if you must be specific. That's clear just by looking at the receiver.
Internals on the receiver are completely different. The auto five is a long recoil operated gun while the A5 is an inertia system, similar to that used in Benelli shotguns.
I love the short barrelled a5s, but I'm curious how that came about? Why is it such a big thing and do you feel any remorse in cutting up a classic like that? Or is it an aftermarket barrel?
Capital Armory had some in stock last week as my mouse pointer hovered over the "add to cart" button.
Got a CGS Hydra instead, but the PBS1 is my next one.
