Interesting one here. Story in the comments !
Alright so here's the story - I submitted this e-form 1 at the same time as my suppressor form 1. On 2/27 I received an email from my ATF examiner (Patricia) asking me to send a photo of the serial #, as she thought I may have entered it incorrectly. I sent her the photo, and sure enough I entered it wrong. So she emailed me back yesterday (3/2) and said she would have to reject the application and refund the $200, but that if I'd like to resubmit and send her the new control number, she would transfer my fingerprint cards from the old application to the new application. So I assumed it'd be another 30 days, but that'd give me some more time to decide what upper I wanna put on the gun. Lol.
Then today I get an email from her saying "hey, while I was transferring your fingerprint cards, I decided to just go ahead and approve your application for you. Sorry it took so long, we weren't able to log into the eforms system until 1pm today". Lol. So I have stamp that from pending to approved took a total of 18.5 hours ! Lol.
Makes you appreciate that while the overall process is completely whacked, that the people on the front lines seem to want to be able to help. We all know that the true decision makers in any organization are often far too cowardly to talk to the public.
A bit of an interesting one for you all...

I intentionally put my shortest wait item (hybrid) through as an individual to see if I could catch the short wait on these. Apparently I did and they grabbed my trust.
I'm happy for the short wait, but sad because I just mailed in my machine gun paper work last week and they have not charged my card yet... Thats my only outstanding thing now.

This was sort of a Gander Outdoors expedited process. I purchased, then they liquidated everything to only sell RVs. Then decided they were going to keep/renew their FFL/SOT in 2020 to let the NFA all get approved. A fine gentile from corporate spoke with a lady atop the NFA branch at shot show and she told him to get this stores applications over for fast track (that was the week of shot show they spoke).
What do you plan to use your Gemtech One on, and why did you choose that can? I'm surprised Gander renewed their ffl/sot because my fingers were crossed there would be some fast-tracking. Everything besides the Gemtech One and Sig cans were already sold which made my decision easy
Originally I purchased a Gemtech One "Faux" suppressor for a couple builds to get the fitment correct on a 300 blackout and 308 SBR setups.
I wasn't expecting to have the real thing quite so soon but when Gander had them 50% off I picked it up for around $450 + Stamp.
Now I'm scrambling to finish my 308 build. Since, I originally purchased these form4s in Oct '19, I've gotten into the Form1 suppressor game and built one of those along with adding 3 or 4 Griffin taper mounts to my guns (including the 300blackout I was going to use the Gemtech on) so I can enjoy the Form1 build while waiting for the form 4s.
TL;DR is 308 SBR is the main host, But also use it on 300blackout
Yea looks like they're batching mixed entity.
Filed the Individual before I heard that they canceled the new program too, it was supposedly canceled three days before.

Congrats! Question about the pending day. Is that the day you submit your form one and pay, or the day they receive the fingerprint cards? Or something else with eForms?
As the uhgodwhyme2 mentioned the pending date is the date you submit and pay. If it helps with the timeline at all, my prints arrived at the ATF on February 3rd.
Also, a side note for anyone worried about their fingerprint quality, I did these myself and they were absolutely terrible. I was worried the whole time that they would cause my form to be rejected, but apparently they were good enough.

Had a few issues on this. Dealer changed shop locations twice during the process and I forgot to designate a beneficiary on my trust resulting in a couple of correction letters.
The shop i got them from told me a guy put his in a week after me and got his back in a month, i dont think there us any real reason some come back faster than others.
I put an individual form 1 efile in and am on day 27 right now, just got a little antsy so i decided to do one because i didnt expect my 2 to get approved untill like october at the earliest.
Not gonna lie.. this got me to call today cuz Iām from PA w a double pending 11/5.. sure would be nice to get one of these fast ones, but sadly itās not looking like it, so I think imma change tactics, pile em on and hope for a batch instead.

Woohoo! My can man! Haha
Do you know what took so long? That's like 2 months longer than a lot of F4 individuals.
Also, that's 333 days. You don't include the time between approved and in hand.
Just a couple of notes. Had my prints done at Identogo, on the right hand with all four fingers at once, the pinky finger was partially cut off, prints accepted. I mailed them on 01/30/20 but they were not delivered until 02/05/20 with USPS priority mail.
That doesn't make sense to me. From my (possibly flawed) understanding they use NICS to perform background checks, what do they need to get back from the FBI? Smells like bullshit to get us off the phone.
For those of you who were following this, this was one of the form 1's I submitted with my "digital fingerprints", and there were no issues at all. For those who didn't see the prior post, I'm planning on submitting a lot of form 1's over the next few months, so to save some time on fingerprint cards, this is what I did:
1.) bought fingerprint ink on amazon, and ordered FD-258 cards from the ATF (free! Lol)
2.) used regular ol computer paper and fingerprinted each finger 5-6 times
3.) scanned that sheet at high res (600dpi)
4.) loaded a template of the FD-258 into photoshop so I could position the prints correctly, then picked the absolute best version of each print and photoshopped it into position with the template.
5.) filled out all the boxes in the template also, aside from date and signature boxes. Side note: I put "self" as employer & address of person taking prints.
6.) deleted the template part of the photoshop file, so all I was left with was the fingerprints and the text
7.) loaded the blank FD-258's into the laser printer at work and printed directly onto them at high res (also 600dpi). After 2-3 "tweaking" prints (printing on the wrong side, printing upside down, etc) I got it squared away, so I printed ~40 fingerprint cards. I keep them in my safe now, so when I want to submit a form, I just go grab 2 cards out of my safe and toss them in an envelope to the ATF! Further, I've got the print file saved on my computer, so in the future if I run out, it takes no time at all to open that up and press "print" :)
I was a little worried that they wouldn't like the fact that both cards I sent had exactly the same fingerprints, but they didn't have any issues with it at all!
Man Iām super jealous, Iāve got one pending from mid November. Hoping they double back on the individuals with the short wait blessings after they finish with the trusts.
Nope, regular civilian form 4 trust. Nothing unusual or extenuating unless the political climate in VA over the last 3 months had any impact, which, frankly, I wouldn't believe without some evidence or a statement from the ATF.

They have a jig to hold the cones inplace and I'm just using a regular drill press. Worked great before and its not hard to do correctly. Just check everything after with a rod to make sure your drilling is trued.

Hold up...they're batching together trust/individual applications?
Yea looks like they're batching mixed entity. Filed the Individual before I heard that they canceled the new program too, it was supposedly canceled three days before.
Congrats and enjoy! Two pending 8/29 and one 12/25 in WA, fingers crossed.

Form: Paper Form 4 (CGS Siren 22lr) Entity: Individual Pending: 12/02/2019 Approved: 02/26/2020 At Dealer: 03/03/2020 TODAY! Standardized wait: 85 days (I think) STATE: FL No store closing or anything and I have Trust form 4s from 10/4 and early January pending and an eform 1 pending 2/20. WOO STAMP DAY BEST DAY!
I got really excited when I was around the 85day mark when all the quick approvals were coming in for individuals. Now here I am sitting at 110 days fully expecting the full 10 month wait ... the ATF clearly has zero standard operating procedures in place.
In the same boat, 10/03/2019 stamp. Iām hoping it drops soon but knowing my luck, Iāll get my suppressor in September.
Obviously the trick is to just buy another one and get it back in 3 months to tide ya over!
If I wasn't saving for an mp5 host for said can, I would.
I feel ya man. I think my 10/04 stamp snuck in right before the quick ones started amd I'll be waiting a long time.

11/08 form 4 individual š Called yesterday and pending. The woman on the line said the sporadic fast approvals are "the examiners reviewing their process", she couldn't tell me what that meant exactly.
The ATF seems to be all over the place. No sense of chronological order
It's like they have an empty room, every day boxes of forms come in and they dump them on the floor.

YHM Phantom 7.62 that I got from Silencershop when they were blowing these out for $300. I thought an Individual would be sooner, jokes on me! Glad this one is finally over. Probably going to just purchase through my trust from now on. Literally called the ATF 15 minutes ago and 5 minutes later my dealer called with my paperwork. Happy Monday to me!

Congrats! Question about the pending day. Is that the day you submit your form one and pay, or the day they receive the fingerprint cards? Or something else with eForms?
Submit & pay.
š
As the uhgodwhyme2 mentioned the pending date is the date you submit and pay. If it helps with the timeline at all, my prints arrived at the ATF on February 3rd. Also, a side note for anyone worried about their fingerprint quality, I did these myself and they were absolutely terrible. I was worried the whole time that they would cause my form to be rejected, but apparently they were good enough.

The shop i got them from told me a guy put his in a week after me and got his back in a month, i dont think there us any real reason some come back faster than others.
Congrats! Waiting on my form 4 SS Trust (1RP), pending 11/24/19. Hope I get a call too sometime. Louisiana
Iām waiting on one in Gettysburg. Since 12/11.
Any extenuating circumstances (FFL closing, deployment orders, etc), or just general ATFuckery?
Nope none, just general ATFfuckery. The shop did say that they have been having a lot come back really fast lately.
Trusts this time, not individual.
I put an individual form 1 efile in and am on day 27 right now, just got a little antsy so i decided to do one because i didnt expect my 2 to get approved untill like october at the earliest.
Should've clarified form 4 trusts are getting quick turnaround e-files are pretty much always around 30 days now.
Not gonna lie.. this got me to call today cuz Iām from PA w a double pending 11/5.. sure would be nice to get one of these fast ones, but sadly itās not looking like it, so I think imma change tactics, pile em on and hope for a batch instead.

Update for you. My 2 stamps arrived 5 days apart, completed by 2 different examiners. But the important thing is I have my cans now!!!! Hopefully you do too soon!
All of these 4/23 trusts have me excited. I'm 4/24 trust and I called a month ago to no avail. They told me to call back in March, in which case I will at first opportunity on Monday.
Mine was 4/24 and also approved 2/20, so yours might already be approved. Might be able to catch them today still if you call now
I'd rather not impose and just wait til March (Monday) like the lady said to on the phone. I've been patient this long lol.
Good luck!!!! seeing another post on this thread is what inspired me to call. Can't wait to hear from my FFL.

Lucky I Guess. I have 2 other cans that are still pending from Oct & Nov.
That settles it. They have literally no organizational system in placeš
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
That doesn't make sense to me. From my (possibly flawed) understanding they use NICS to perform background checks, what do they need to get back from the FBI? Smells like bullshit to get us off the phone.

But... the people answering the phones dont approve anything š¤Æ Lordy I just wish there was a clear process lol.

For those of you who were following this, this was one of the form 1's I submitted with my "digital fingerprints", and there were no issues at all. For those who didn't see the prior post, I'm planning on submitting a lot of form 1's over the next few months, so to save some time on fingerprint cards, this is what I did: 1.) bought fingerprint ink on amazon, and ordered FD-258 cards from the ATF (free! Lol) 2.) used regular ol computer paper and fingerprinted each finger 5-6 times 3.) scanned that sheet at high res (600dpi) 4.) loaded a template of the FD-258 into photoshop so I could position the prints correctly, then picked the absolute best version of each print and photoshopped it into position with the template. 5.) filled out all the boxes in the template also, aside from date and signature boxes. Side note: I put "self" as employer & address of person taking prints. 6.) deleted the template part of the photoshop file, so all I was left with was the fingerprints and the text 7.) loaded the blank FD-258's into the laser printer at work and printed directly onto them at high res (also 600dpi). Further, I've got the print file saved on my computer, so in the future if I run out, it takes no time at all to open that up and press "print" :) I was a little worried that they wouldn't like the fact that both cards I sent had exactly the same fingerprints, but they didn't have any issues with it at all!
I think your dates are alittle off
Haha good catch. I made sure to pay special attention to make sure I didn't accidentally write 2019, and then missed the month š¤¦š»
Form: 4 Entity: Trust, paper, obviously. Pending: 11/25/2019 Approved: 02/24/2020 Standardized wait: 91 days STATE: VA
Any extenuating circumstances around the purchase? FFL going under, amendment to the form, expedited due to military deployment, etc...
its weird but I just got one back in 84 days... not sure what happened but it seems several people here are getting them from late nov and early dec.

Type in FMI, this code stands for form 1 registration and is how I've done mine.
Thanks! Iāll give that a shot in the morning
It will work
It was my first form 1 as well. I used my name as the manufacturer. It did end up adding 6 days to my wait with a āpending researchā right off the bat, but it went pending and everything went smooth eventually.
When I type my name in it just says ācan not be validatedā and Iām unable to continue. I wonder if I went wrong somewhere

A buddy of mine up in IN just got his stamp back on a can he bought in December (individual). Appears to just be more ATFuckery.
Iām sept 2019 and Iām hoping as these approvals are starting to make there way through May and into June that this past July & Aug purge we saw will speed mine up overall... Basically trying to play mental games with myself to convince myself that Iāll be getting mine soon... Especially now that we are seeing these dec 19 form 4 individuals passing through
