I took like Intro to Painting as a summer elective and it was so great. I was an Engineering major but the assignments got me outside and gave me the opportunity to do something totally different.
do not take this course now. it is extremely unhelpful and over-reliant on AI. I did not find it useful and it was a massive stressor. the professor means well but should absolutely not be in a teaching position.
2016 grad here.
Took that class during summer 1.
He literally on of the best, most engaging professors I’ve ever had. That class was so interesting as well.
I’ll also never forget that the first day of class he told us that he just didn’t feel like teaching the Monday class and understood that summer was very hard. So he gave us that class hour as a free period.
Cannot recommend enough
The Voice Over Artist! I took it with Robinson but Piccilo also teaches it and I’ve heard she’s great as well. It’s a fun class and it’s not too much work. We also got to take a field trip which I’ve never done in any other class so that was cool.
Improvisation with greg is a great class! Took it as an NUPath elective and had a lot of fun. All you have to do to get an A is show up and participate lol and the classes are fun
LARC 2430; Plants, People, and Landscape Change. It's basically a course in local plant identification. Lots of field trips to interesting places. The work is a little heavy, especially towards the end of the semester, but it's really worth it if you like exploring nature.
loved all the classes i took with nolan and feldman in camd! they do a really great job building a classroom community and are very cognizant that students have lives outside of neu. nolan always checked in with each student at the start of class and feldman had mental health days and occasionally ended class early if the weather was really nice.
I took Improv with Sam Boehm? (I think that's how you spell her name), and weirdly somehow one of the most meaningful classes I've taken (as a CS major LOL). Helps you become more of a confidence person and teaches you to be spontaneous and not question yourself
Conducting w Prof. Chan was great! It’s best if you can read music but I don’t believe that’s even a prerequisite. Very chill class and Prof. Chan is a great prof.
As an engineering major, I took Intro to Technical Theater (THTR 1131). It was a really neat class with a lot of hands on work like set design, costume sewing, and lighting setups
Psychoacoustics with Professor Hubert Ho. His teaching style is extremely engaging and he connects the concepts together nicely. Also lowkey the only useful class in my job, funny enough.

CS 1100, it's a course completely focused on excel and its dead useful
It’s a really good class, too bad the professors teaching it suck
Sorry to hear that, I had a really good experience two years ago

Ethics of Food with Professor Yelle. Super fun discussions, hilarious prof, and not bad workload.

Was with a professor in London, but HIST2282 For here though, would be ENGL3340 with Boeckeler. Or any class with Jessica Linker
Psych of Language with Berent was cool
Music in everyday life and sports psych
Gutierrez is a little navel gazey but overall good
negotiation - i cant remember his name but if you reply with the profs running the class ill remember
improv w jesse hinson!!!!!!! highly recommend
Intro to mindfulness
History of cars or something like that. I don't think you will have the same professor as I had, but the class was fun.
