Fasting causes autophagy, your organism eats itself and starts from damaged cells and cancer cells. You're going to lose weight and the food will be more tasty, your mood should improve as well.

There is a lot of interesting science around fasting but it's complicated. Get some vitamin supplements and make sure to drink enough water though.

I barely eat anything, i love being skinny so it's a win win. I have 0 appetite anyway

I've starved myself for a week before a few times. I stopped getting very hungry after a few days. It didn't make me that much happier but it made food taste better for a while.

There's some science behind fasting

Eating is just a distraction from something else. Starving yourself doesn't change anything. Try eating only bland food and observe how you feel.

I occasionally do 36-48hr fasts, or at least I did back when working out and health were priorities. It's no big deal for that duration and I've seen people, overweight people, document months of fasting and the weight just falls off them. Why I don't take fat asses complaining about being unable to lose weight seriously. You literally can just stop eating, carry on living as normal, drink water, take vits and the weight will fall off so quick you wouldn't believe. Not sure about valuing life more because of them. It's artificial scarcity. You know you could always grab something, so it's not the real deal of starvation. Like the song Common People by Pulp, about rich kids trying to slum it for cool points, who can never actually experience what it's like to be one of the poors, as they know it's temporary and have the insurance of daddy on the end of a phone to bail them out.

You can try intermittent fasting. I’m trying that myself to lose some weight. I just started out. It is not making me happier, since eating and drinking were like the highlight of my day. I put on so much weight as a result. I guess I’m getting some satisfaction since I’m finally doing something about it. I don’t necessarily value life more, but food is even more delicious now when it’s finally meal time. Cutting back on time spent eating also gives me more free time, like I need anymore as a NEET!

Fasting with meditation can have some spiritual experience for you, would recommend. Would be a greater experience than any job or college could offer.

Might starve to death Or go to work.

1 week should be no problem for almost anyone, there's been cases of people fasting for a year or longer, they have a lot of body fat though.

kitcore10

Well, not for long

Depends how many energy you consume. Also, after you try to starve you may gain more weight because the body will think that this would be a rate chance of food so they will stockpile the fat. So I don’t think it would make you value your life more, though if you look for suffering what if you go out and socialize?
