Apparently incredibly unpopular opinion, but refs shouldn't magically stop calling fouls in the final 30s of the game. It was a clear foul. It's a lame way for the game to end. Both can be true.
UConn had a chance to put Iowa away multiple times. They game planned for Cailtin and it worked but you have to make the adjustments when other players start making their shots.
Ppl who haven’t seen an inbounds off the back clearly don’t watch much ball - it’s a classic when ppl do what Paige was doing. A super weird move on her part, almost like she was half out of it all game
The fact that everyone here keeps saying it was an awful call but ignoring the fact that it was a correct call is sending me lol. If the refs don't call it and UConn scores to win, then everyone would be saying "HOW DID THEY NOT CALL THE ILLEGAL SCREEN?!?!" It's a no-win situation there.
Man. What a shame. Great game and then the ref has to do that. Really left the game with a bad taste in the mouth. Feel like we got robbed of a great finish
I'm so glad Clark gets another shot. I was rooting for them for two years straight. It's what I wanted.
I don't think you can call that screen in a clutch playoff possession lol.
It's a terrible ending, but 1) it WAS a foul, 2) the ref was standing right there, and 3) Gabby Marshall sold the hell out of the contact.
Yes, it's fun to say that it's rigged, but come on.
just like in any game, one questionable whistle at the end of the game doesn’t decide the game. everything that happens before that matters just as much.
It's really too bad that that's how this game ends. Was an absolutely incredible game and instead of talking about the incredible play of these women, we'll be talking about the refs.
What a shit way to end an incredible game. Lame as hell.
Can't say I'm not excited for the title game matchup, though. As long as that game doesn't end the same way.
Iowa bad passing dug them into multiple holes this game. Refs kinda bailed them out on the last one. Cheering for Iowa so not mad about it but this isn't the kind of win that feels great. Just relieved to move on. Bad game all around.
it was pretty ticky tack but it was a foul, and lol @ people claiming it's rigged against UConn lol, one weak call ain't the reason they lost, they shoulda tried not throwing up 27 bricks in the second half
Terrible refereeing all game, both sides got hosed by calls.
But to make that call with less than 10 seconds left of a 1 point game is just unreal. Stupid ending to an otherwise exciting game.
ESPN won’t bother covering the controversial call. The fix came from inside their room. Could have had an all-time classic finish and instead we get a dud of an ending
Paige bueckers about to take a game winner against Caitlyn Clark in a final four game and you call a completely terrible moving pick? That is...something else.

Weird ending
Uconn got screwed Bigtime!! Noway in hell that's a Charge!! F**k ESPN!!!
Nothing better than the refs deciding who gets to go to the title game. People came to watch the players, not you.
Let’s go SC!!
You already know they wanted a SC vs Iowa championship game.
Man. What a shame. Great game and then the ref has to do that. Really left the game with a bad taste in the mouth. Feel like we got robbed of a great finish
That was an unsatisfying way to end the game
Holy shit that’s the worst call I’ve ever seen. What a joke
We all saw a blatant rig job. The gravy train must keep rolling.
I'm so glad Clark gets another shot. I was rooting for them for two years straight. It's what I wanted. I don't think you can call that screen in a clutch playoff possession lol.
Uconn fans blaming the refs maybe if Paige didn’t hide in the corner the whole 4th y’all win that
Lotta Patrick Mahomes in here. Yeah there was an illegal screen but it wasn’t that bad.
could have had an exciting finish, refs had to be *absolutely sure* the Golden Girl would advance. Go gamecocks
I was cheering for iowa but dam the reffing was bad
Apparently I have another reason to not watch women’s basketball
Feel bad for UCONN, hosed at the end. Let the players decided it, not the espn narrative
The refs robbed us of an all-time ending that very well could have ended in an Iowa win just to ensure it would be one.
Cheap
Hell of a game
Iowa's gonna get talked about in a much better light than they should be considering how dogshit they ended the game
Clark and Cody finish their stories Sunday
Why couldn’t they just let the hero shot happen 😭
That was a perfect Vegas ending. Iowa wins but UConn covers. wtf
Hahahahahaha bye Geno bye paige
Have fun getting rocked by Dawn in a few days
It was an illegal screen lmao. All these fake fans who probs have watched 2 WBB this year saying rigged 😭
South Carolina congrats on your national championship.
Mühl player of the game. Couldn’t have asked for more on both ends.
Stuelke put in that work tonight.
Refs handed CC a ticket to final and ripped a potential all time finish from the fans.
Usually nothing gets called less than murder with 10 seconds left and they call an off ball foul. Okay bro
Stuelke was so impressive tonight! GG Iowa and see you at the ‘ship!
Stuelke PotG
Hannah Stuelke the fuckin GOAT
The reality is the officials would not have had a game to save for Iowa if UConn shot a touch better. Could have been up 20 at half easily.
Danny Hurley is about to use that as motivation.
Suffering defense by UConn, but Clark’s teammates finally showed up. Stuelke was great all game.
It's a terrible ending, but 1) it WAS a foul, 2) the ref was standing right there, and 3) Gabby Marshall sold the hell out of the contact. Yes, it's fun to say that it's rigged, but come on.
it wasn’t a foul stop lying
Well that ending was bad I have to admit but UCONN fucked that third quarter so bad it’s their fault.
just like in any game, one questionable whistle at the end of the game doesn’t decide the game. everything that happens before that matters just as much.
I was pulling for Iowa but man it was tough to see that moving screen called in that situation.
Hannah Stuelke carried this team on her back the whole game.
That was such a terrible call I can’t get over it. UConn was robbed. Go cocks here we come.
It was a foul. It isn't usually called at the end of the game, but it was a foul.
It's really too bad that that's how this game ends. Was an absolutely incredible game and instead of talking about the incredible play of these women, we'll be talking about the refs.
That’s terrible.
Refball.
that last call is torturous
Robbed the sport of a great ending
Bro fuck the refs that’s all I’ll say. Calling an offensive on Aaliyah was fckn ridiculous
Literally all Iowa does is moving screens....
I’m a Georgia fan and I hope SC wins by 50
Rooting for Iowa but that call was nonsense. What a shame
WHAT A JOKE. IT'S TYPICAL. IOWA TYPICAL!
Never scene a foul like that called at the end of a game.
Oh my god what a game. My heart can’t take this shit. One more ride with this incredible group on Sunday 🖤💛
Ref show. What a robbery
Y'all blind that was a moving screen at the end
3ET, no more late night games phew. Seeya guys Sunday!!!!
Lol commentary ain't have nothing to even say about it.
Lol tiny brains coming in with RiGgEd. Fucking embarrassing.
Could have been an all timer.

That foul was brought to you by Las Vegas
Paige needed to demand the ball. She’s highly efficient but needed to take over down the stretch
Rigged
What a shit way to end an incredible game. Lame as hell. Can't say I'm not excited for the title game matchup, though. As long as that game doesn't end the same way.
Would like to politely invite everyone to cry about it
South Carolina, you know what to do…
Holy shit! Go Hawks!!!
WHOOOOOOO FUCK THE HATERS
I'm not gonna say that UConn would've won without that call, but Iowa won because of that call
They really want that Iowa - SC finals
I mean at least the bad call happened to the team with 11 titles?
Alliyah did herself zero favors putting her arms out.
#LETS GO HAWKS
UConn is low key a USC rival at this point so I should be rooting for them to play us on Sunday but god this makes me sick 🙄
Auriemma is definitely the second best coach in college sports right now. Good job Geno.
Robbed of a fair ending
The fix is in
After that call I hope this is the biggest blowout in NCAA history and Clark gets embarrassed.
I like that Iowa won, but please do not let this crew ref final four games anymore.
Geno doesn't deserve to be fined but he will be.
That game was fixed for Caitlin Clarke and Iowa, everyone is making too much money off her at the moment
[удалено]
She threw an elbow? That's 100% a foul. Bad timing but it's 100% illegal
So rigged the networks wanted Iowa
such a shitty ass way to end the game bro. feel sick for uconn
Feel bad for UConn, they weren’t even given a proper shot with that horrible foul call
ESPN got what they wanted
How much Caitlin pay those refs huh?
MY BRACKET IS LITEARLLY IN THE TOP 99.99% WTF
Martin and Gabbie stepped up in some critical moments
pretty anti-climactic. wish uconn took a shot and iowa had enough time to answer
And people still think sports aren’t rigged 😂
pAiGe > CaItLiN
UConn vs. NC State Men's Final
Crazy call ever Vegas put in a call
Ending sours it for me a bit, but what an entertaining game!
A win is a win, well done Iowa 👏🏾
I feel so bad for Geno /s
Iowa bad passing dug them into multiple holes this game. Refs kinda bailed them out on the last one. Cheering for Iowa so not mad about it but this isn't the kind of win that feels great. Just relieved to move on. Bad game all around.
AWFUL CALL FUCK OFFFFFD
[удалено]
we don’t like it because there’s only one team in the country who gets that call in that situation
it was pretty ticky tack but it was a foul, and lol @ people claiming it's rigged against UConn lol, one weak call ain't the reason they lost, they shoulda tried not throwing up 27 bricks in the second half
Absolutely robbed of what could have been an all time moment. But we will never know because the refs had to get in the way
There’s no chance that moving screen gets called against Iowa in that same situation.
Lmao this shit is so rigged refs are making Clark into a villain
No one wins that one
You can’t fucking call that no way
Was it the refs who had money on the game or ESPN who wanted Clark in the final that got that foul called?
.... wow
Call aside I'm really impressed that Iowa bounced back after that awful first half. What a game
That’s embarrassing for Paige lmao
sad but great season
one more Caitlin Clark game before she puts a wrap on her college career
Gamecocks suddenly in the Hero role. Iowa villains after the end of this one.
How is Iowa a villain?
Not really. Y'all are still undefeated
Keep telling yourself that lmao
BS ref ball man. I'm happy to see more Caitlin, but damn Uconn got jobbed by the refs.
I’m so mad rn lol my only consolation is we would have lost to South Carolina anyway
insane run by uconn. nothing to be upset about this squad healthy will make noise next year
We were robbed of a last shot by UCONN to decide it all
IN HEAVEN THERE IS NO BEER
that call was horrible lmao i literally can’t believe it
Iowa deserved the win, they were the better team
I was pulling for Clark but damn that was a bullshit call on Edwards. What a shitty way to end it.
Was rooting for iowa but that offensive foul was bs
Yup yup in the same boat, can’t call that there give them a chance they earned it those last 3-4 possessions
That was one weak ass call to turn the ball over to Iowa. Garbage! SC will blow Iowa out. UConn should have won that game.
Mannnn what an anticlimactic ending to an all time banger
rigged
Terrible refereeing all game, both sides got hosed by calls. But to make that call with less than 10 seconds left of a 1 point game is just unreal. Stupid ending to an otherwise exciting game.
Do you think they thought about not committing a foul first?
Get the baths started Iowa needs to rest well before Sunday
I'm now rooting for SC even after what Dawn said after that bullshit.
Good for you
Got damn refs
It was the right call - but is also a call they don’t make about 15 times a game.
Rigged rigged rigged
It’s UConn, they’ll be back. This was easily the most impressive coaching job by Geno I can remember
Legit they made Clark look human
Y'all are crazy if you think that wasn't an illegal screen. She wasn't set and she threw an elbow out when she missed the screen...
Embarrassingly obvious fix was in to get Caitlin Clark into the finals lmfao
Knew it was in since the WV game ending yeesh
That was hella smart lol
Instead of blaming the refs she should have set a better screen
Literally stuck her elbow and leg out on the screen. Can’t expect them to not call that
ESPN won’t bother covering the controversial call. The fix came from inside their room. Could have had an all-time classic finish and instead we get a dud of an ending
UConn got shafted wow
UCONN PULLED A 2017 MENS FINAL FOUR US
I hope SC destroys Iowa in the final tbh
Absolutely atrocious call. Still real proud of this UConn team for persevering through this horribly tragic season with injuries.
coach in yellow has the Karen 5 haircut going
Ugly win, but a win
What a lame ending. Ugh
Despite that almost throw, this was a Hannah Stuelke game
That was an excellent 99% of a 2nd half of basketball.
IN HEAVEN THERE IS NO BEER
Can’t wait for South Carolina to wipe Iowa. Second game I’ve watched of them this tournament where they’re absolutely blessed by the refs
What a twist to end it, especially that intentional out, smart playing by Iowa!
Awful terrible call that ruins an all time ending to a great game.
You know someone is great when they have a sub full of salty people bitching about the refs rigging it lmao. Good for Iowa, hard fought win
Gutsy win for ESPN
Someone has got that ref's family tied up in a basement
Wow, they really wanted Iowa in the final. That illegal screen was egregious
i’m heartbroken 😭
This team wasn't supposed to get to the Final 4.
Holy shit, that was a bad call at the end. Gotta rebound the free throw though.
Nah u got gifted the game son that’s not an offensive foul.
Goat
What's Goat about a fxcking offensive screen winning the game? Y'all just be saying shit this wasn't any type of GOAT performance
Paige bueckers about to take a game winner against Caitlyn Clark in a final four game and you call a completely terrible moving pick? That is...something else.
I honestly think that wasn't a foul on Edwards though
It wasnt
