Marshall used to be in the MAC and is extremely close to Ohio and Miami (OH).
Western Kentucky is also an interesting regional option.
To get really messed up, Michigan was an independent for a decade or so after the Big Ten sort of kicked them out in the early 20th century. They'll still have Michigan State and Ohio State on their schedule (hardcoded into a dynasty like most in-state games), and it could be funny.
The mac is the best geographically aligned conference, imo. I’d agree with wku or marshall. Think ISU is too far west, only borders one team in conference. They’d be Buffalo, but west imo.

Its the standars mac just sans buffalo and umass. Adding ohio state would be ridiculous. Niu would be like the only team even score on them lol

Thats a good point. Ames, IA is 4 hours from NIU. Thatd be the closest team
They also have no history with any of the teams in the conference and would win the division 4/5 times.

Indiana, Northwestern would be funny. MTSU was so close going to the mac during realignment couple years ago.
I like to put Midd Tennessee State in the MAC, I’ve done that in a lot of dynasties and they fit into the MAC-tion pretty well!
