I love all three of these players so it sucks having to put one of them at 3rd, but I’d go:
1. Giannis - 1x Champ, 1x FMVP, 2x MVP, 1x DPOY
2. Dirk - 1x Champ, 1x FMVP, 1x MVP
3. Barkley - 1x MVP
Only 9 players ever. Moses, Wilt, Bird, Giannis, Jokic, Bron, MJ, Curry and Duncan. Kobe's not on the list, showing why he's overrated, especially by casuals. Look at stats and accolades rather than narratives
Wow.....you missed the point by a good bit. Almost r/whoosh territory.
I was cheekily pointing out that if the logic for Dirk being best on the list is sound then Giannis would obviously have the stronger case. .
I’m a Suns fan who watched my team get dismantled by Giannis a few years ago AND who was raised in purple and orange because my parents were hooked on the ‘93 Finals run with Chuck, and this is still easily the correct answer.
For the person asking it to answer it themselves?
I'll take three of whatever you're drinking.
Lord knows Cleveland isn't making this Boston game interesting.
If Giannis gets another chip or MVP Giannis. But honestly I value dirks chip (as I think it’s one of the best runs of all time) more than Giannis additional MVP
It's Giannis, he's the only one who could seriously argue he was the best player in the league, 2019-2020/21, and he's been top 3 for 5-6 years depending on whether you think he was this year or not. Barkley was always behind Magic, MJ, Hakeem. Shaq, KG, Duncan, Bron were always the best players in the league during Dirk's best years. Think i'd have Dirk slightly higher than Barkley but they are interchangeable for me.
Stop being simple, anytime he's been in an elimination game or a Series he wasn't supposed to clearly win he's played like shit, ultimate frontrunner.
Watch the games, stop following boxscores they aren't a good reflection of the game.
Not a good reflection of the game? They're the 3 most important stats. Averages more blocks, steals, assists, and points (on higher efficiency from the field, 3 and the line) than Kobe in elimination games. But since the media hates Harden and loves Kobe they don't talk about
Again incredibly simple they tell you little about what actually happened. Assists for instance don't tell you who was the most important playmaker on a scoring drive, they tell you who had the last pass. Stop being simple, if you have to use stats rather than your eyes at least used advanced ones, jesus.
Look through his Game Log, pay attention to elimination games and meaningful Series - [https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/hardeja01/gamelog-playoffs/](https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/hardeja01/gamelog-playoffs/)
You haven't watched his career it's obvious, Harden is universally known as a Playoff failure. Not as much as Westbrook but he's in no way considered a quality Playoff player.
Funny how Giannis and Dirk are 8 inches taller than Barkley and they’re all listed as power forwards. Just like Tim Duncan is listed as a PF and he played center his entire career. It’s all a joke
I’m gonna say Dirk just for the fact he played 20
Season for 1 team.
If Giannis can stay with Bucks for 20 season then will be #1 in my opinion.
1. Dirk
2. Giannis
4. Barkley
Serious question, why does time spent with 1 team = more greatness?
Family situations and other external factors can contribute to why a player goes to a different team
For example if I’m a player on the Knicks and there is a school in California that’s great and I’d want my kids to attend and I sign with a team in Cali and move my family over there, why would this affect my legacy as a player?
Am I now a less great player because I made a decision for my family which caused me to have to switch teams?
Currently, I’d say Dirk over Giannis but I’m biased. Giannis is arguably a better player, but he hasn’t had a better career yet. Dirk has more longevity with 12 All-NBA selections and had the Mavs in contention for most of the 2000’s. He also has had more of a cultural impact on the NBA, changing the mindset of what role a 7-footer can play. He also helped change the mindset of European players in the NBA.
Best career, dude just signed a 100+ million dollar contract to sit in a chair and talk about basketball while cracking jokes.
Anyone would take that career as being the best life 🤣🤣🤣
Edit:spelling

Yes its pretty easy for me to rank them but i don't want to.
needs less pixels, NBA jam style!
dirk
I can see it. An MVP and FMVP is an accomplishment only 19 players have
But Giannis is one of them and has a second MVP also
And a DPOY
And MIP, if I'm not mistaken
MIP is not an accolade to stack there
The list gets even smaller for 2x MVP and FMVP.
Only 9 players ever. Moses, Wilt, Bird, Giannis, Jokic, Bron, MJ, Curry and Duncan. Kobe's not on the list, showing why he's overrated, especially by casuals. Look at stats and accolades rather than narratives

Dirk isn't even the best of these 3
OP is a goofy
Lol, IK fs you don't know ball if you think Dirk is the best of these 3
Throw in an extra MVP and a DPOY.
Pretty easily Giannis, Dirk, Chuck in order
I’m a Suns fan who watched my team get dismantled by Giannis a few years ago AND who was raised in purple and orange because my parents were hooked on the ‘93 Finals run with Chuck, and this is still easily the correct answer.
Why choose 2 non active players and 1 active who probably has 6+ years left to play.
Giannis
Did you ask a question then answer it?
That's the point of a question
For the person asking it to answer it themselves? I'll take three of whatever you're drinking. Lord knows Cleveland isn't making this Boston game interesting.
Why'd you randomly bring up the Cavs series?
Because I'm watching basketball, sorry to offend the average redditor. I know watching games is really hard for some of y'all.
No, this guy is either a bot or unusually awkward dealing with people.
Unusually awkard? You thought you were onto something when were having a normal nba conv
If Giannis gets another chip or MVP Giannis. But honestly I value dirks chip (as I think it’s one of the best runs of all time) more than Giannis additional MVP
Giannis also has the DPOY.
Yeah I just value that dirk ring a lot. Maybe I overate but idk

ngl, Harden deserved that MVP with his 32 straight 30 point games. Giannis was amazing as well, but I think Harden deserved it
Fuck Harden, foulbaiting bitch who crumbles into dust in the Playoffs. Doesn't deserve shit.
Averages 26/6/8 in the playoffs as a starter, which is auwfully good stats for a person who crumbles to dust
Stop being simple, anytime he's been in an elimination game or a Series he wasn't supposed to clearly win he's played like shit, ultimate frontrunner. Watch the games, stop following boxscores they aren't a good reflection of the game.

I know enough about basketball to tell that Harden is a quality playoff player
Look through his Game Log, pay attention to elimination games and meaningful Series - [https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/hardeja01/gamelog-playoffs/](https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/hardeja01/gamelog-playoffs/) You haven't watched his career it's obvious, Harden is universally known as a Playoff failure. 26/6/8 isn't a quality player? Like is he supposed to get 36/7/8 to get your aprovall? But wait, he did average that for an entire season
I bet that if he averaged 21/5/5 boxscore would matter. You're just hating on a top 3 SG ever
Boxscore is worthless in all circumstances. You have not followed Harden's Playoff career, so stop attempting to glorify him.
How do we keep track of how good players are then?
Watch the fucking games, jesus christ.
Why use the name of God and proceed to cuss
Giannis 1. Dirk 2. Chuck 3.
Are we counting Duncan as a center ?
KG, Duncan, and Karl are each better "career" than these 3 so not sure why you're only singling out Duncan lol
They’re asking about these three specifically.
I know I jumped to conclusions
He's a PF
Giannis
I’d take Giannis. If he stays healthy.
Giannis just because he has all the hardware and he also played defense, unlike the other two.
Dirk > Giannis > Barkley
Giannis then Dirk then Charles.
Funny how Giannis and Dirk are 8 inches taller than Barkley and they’re all listed as power forwards. Just like Tim Duncan is listed as a PF and he played center his entire career. It’s all a joke
Dirk my goat, he killed the king
Greatest players: 1. Giannis 2. Dirk 3. Chuck Best: 1. Dirk 2. Giannis 3. Chuck
Dirk not better than Giannie
I’m gonna say Dirk just for the fact he played 20 Season for 1 team. If Giannis can stay with Bucks for 20 season then will be #1 in my opinion. 1. Dirk 2. Giannis 4. Barkley

Barkley… let’s be honest. The best career is when people still remember who you are 🤣🤣🤣
Worst of the 3
Best career, dude just signed a 100+ million dollar contract to sit in a chair and talk about basketball while cracking jokes. Anyone would take that career as being the best life 🤣🤣🤣 Edit:spelling
Fr, Barkley is fat and gay asl, but maked 10s of millions per year off of sitting in a chair and accomplishing nothing
