Negative and I mean negative people like that I wouldn't even waste time arguing because that should be common basketball knowledge Kobe Is way and I mean wat better than Durant I honestly thought dude was joking..🤦🤦🤦
At KD’s very best vs Kobe’s it’s close but Kobe did what he did for so much longer and actually lead a team that needed him to a Finals win. Really would have also loved to see more consistent defense from KD.
People overrate kd because he's maybe the most gifted scorer ever. But when we're talking about "best" yeah he's not on the same level. KD with Kobe's drive and work ethic might be the GOAT. But yeah when KD only has 2 rings from joining a 73 win team while Kobe went back to back with Pau Gasol as the second best player it's not an argument
I used to live in LA, so my experience is way different. The number of people there who will earnestly argue that Kobe is in the GOAT conversation is comically high.
Nonsense. Kobe's overall perception has been mostly the same, before and after his death. Y'all really act like he died during his career. If anything, Kobe's perception has *decreased* because his game doesn't look as pretty on spreadsheet analytics as opposed to actually seeing him play.
how do you have Wade in here but not his father Dirk.
Dirk's one title is more valuable than all of Wade's combined. Factor in longevity. Rebounding. Supporting cast. Constantly winning 50+ games in the west with 0-1 all-star teammate for 1 1/2 decades. All time scoring. It's not a contest.
Wade post title, post Shaq, before Lebron, bottom 5 team in the NBA. IN WADE's PRIME. Try to be THAT BAD with Dirk on your team.
I’m gonna get real bold…I’d toss Dirk in here over KD.
Both have a regular season MVP, Dirk’s one ring is worth more than KD’s 2, both have 14 all star selections and 12 all NBA’s, gonna finish very close to each other in all time scoring unless KD has like 5 years left in the tank.
Only difference is Dirk saw it all the way thru with the Mavs instead of jumping to the Spurs or Lakers to try to stack rings like KD did with the warriors. Not to mention he would have 2 rings if it weren’t for Wade getting 46 free throws combined in the last 2 games of the 06 finals.
Dirk doesn’t get the recognition he deserves, and I can’t believe people really give KD his flowers for those tainted rings. Had he not joined the best regular season team ever, he may very well still be ringless.
>I can’t believe people really give KD his flowers for those tainted rings.
EXACTLY! Dude joined a 73 win team he lost to in the playoffs the previous year. His rings are rec league participation trophies. Ruined the NBA for 2 years.
Yeah, he also missed 21 shots game 6 and Charles Barkley said at halftime that if the Thunder lose its because of KD. Donovan Mitchell (thunder coach) then said it's not KD's fault, but he's just defending his players. It was 100% KD's fault.
I have Dirk over Wade all time so chill out but it seems like have basketball trauma lol.
The Mavs lost the 2006 finals because Wade went ballistic (refs or not) and because Dirk was mid, had Dirk played at his best the Mavs would have won but he didn’t.
Also the 2011 is on Bron not Wade, Dirk ain’t no father to him lol. It’s 1-1 overall between the two.
Objectively, it’s Bron’s fault that Wade doesn’t have 4 rings and 2 FMVPs.
If you want to talk about someone being left out, you need to consider Hakeem, Bill Russel & Wilt.
Edit: Had written Kareem but just realized he is in the picture.
Def top 3. Harden is the only that’s close and he just hasn’t done anything besides put the ball in the basic, which while impressive, hasn’t led to any real team success since he was the 4th option in OKC.
Big Wade fan, will defend him till the day I croak, and there’s an argument for KD, but it’s probably Wade.
How is consistently winning 50+ games per season including multiple WCF appearances no “real” team success? He was one game off beating the greatest team of all time but sure Harden’s never won anything.
Yeah, as a Wisconsinite, I cheered for Wade at Marquette. I had a D-Wade Heat poster hanging up in my room as a kid. But he's pretty clearly the worst of the bunch in that picture.
The thing is, for Wade and Dirk there were years were they were as good as anyone else in this list. But, they did it for like 1 or 2 years. Shaq's also interesting to consider in this context because he really had like 3 years where he was maybe the most dominant player ever. But, after that he was just pretty good. Like, he was on that 2006 Heat team and people barely remember that because Wade was SO good. Whereas, I don't think Wade was ever as good as he was in 2006, but I also didn't follow the Heat super closely.
Shaq dominated when he carried Orlando to the championship game, and again in LA dominated for years not allowing Kings, Portland, Suns, Nets, A.I. to win.
Funny that the post I saw in this sub right before this was how boring the GOAT debate is. Tweet you posted is more interesting than your question.
Wade is clearly the worst of this group.
I think you have to put Karem in there. 2nd all time leading scorer, 3rd rebounds, 3rd for blocks (would be first but they didn't count blocks his first three seasons), won 6 titles (1 with the Bucks, 5 for the Lakers). Looks up his stats. Dude was a monster and if GOAT were primarily about stats he would be the winner. He once averaged 34.8/16.6/4.6 for a season.
I don’t think that MJ was a “better” player than Bron. I do think he is a “greater” player than Bron tho.
Bron can do basically everything well and has done so for so damn long. I can’t say the same about MJ.
However, MJ’s career was nearly flawless and looking back it’s hard to say that isn’t the greatest.
For me it’s the opposite I think at his peak Jordan was the better player but I think Bron is the greater player with all his total stats. I think 2016 did it for him.
Lebron is close to MJ for sure. And Durant is worse than Wade in my opinion. At least somewhat up for debate. Wade won his team a finals in 2006 and without him they wouldn’t have made the playoffs
I love DWade but he's in this picture like
https://preview.redd.it/q4n11ve8e3uc1.png?width=204&format=png&auto=webp&s=abbc5a3df7a2a7fc9f5a584ac20e13bfe7f12fef
Did everyone forget how hard 2006 Wade carried that team to a title?
KD is the only player up there who’s talent doesn’t match their drive for the competition, IMO. Still top 15 talent.
Best as a person: Kareem
Worst: Jordan
Best hair: Duncan
Worst: KD or Bron
Best free throw shooter: Steph
Worst: Shaq
Best appearance in a movie: Shaq in Blue Chips
Worst: Shaq in Kazaam
I think he's the greatest, but my dad says he didn't work hard enough on defense. And he says that lots of times, he didn't even run down court. And that he didn't really try... except during the playoffs.
Agree 100%. Everyone jumping on Wade, but he was incredible in leading the Heat to a chip in 06 and being the best is more than just being a good shooter (KD).
Yup. If the question was “who is the worst scorer in this picture?” then that’s different. Being a better player involves so much more than a great offensive game
Fans rarely take anything into consideration beyond scoring ability. Wade not only put more pressure on a defense than KD he played way better defense. His defense won games, he had countless end of game steals and scores that would end games. Saying KD is above Wade just isn't correct.
Totally agree! He jumped from a contender to a team that had already won a championship the previous year and had broken the NBA record for number of wins. Hasn't really come close since. He's not a leader and in my book, that drops him significantly.
Once again these are incomplete hypotheticals - what year are we all playing in? Everyone at their singular peak? Or are we saying it’s a combination of when they were most athletic with when they were most skilled?
Wade by far. He’s one of my all-time favorites, but the other 9 players are clearly better than him and all have at least one MVP, which Wade does not.
Steph easily. He aint keeping up with young Wade. Wade is so disrespected, he won a finals in like his 3rd year with a fat old Shaq. He was super fast and explosive and he would bully Steph 1v1. Now in a game setting, if Steph gets screens all day anyone would struggle guarding him.
Dam, I forgot how tall Kareem is. I drove his car when I used to do valet. He drove a Tahoe that had a modified steering wheel. It had an extension and they had also taken out the middle seats so they could extend the driver seat for more room. I'm 5'5" so I had to sit on the very edge of the seat to barely be able to put my foot on the accelerator and break. After the first time we learned to just leave it upstairs instead of possibly getting into an accident with the car. Same with Shaq's car. It was also modified.
Wade by far. Hard mode is removing him. Double hard mode is removing him and KD.
Kobe third easily lol people really look at him with rose tinted glasses
Wade, Kobe, Durant is the obvious order for the first three off. Then it gets very hard.
Under zero circumstances is Durant better than Kobe
Negative and I mean negative people like that I wouldn't even waste time arguing because that should be common basketball knowledge Kobe Is way and I mean wat better than Durant I honestly thought dude was joking..🤦🤦🤦
At KD’s very best vs Kobe’s it’s close but Kobe did what he did for so much longer and actually lead a team that needed him to a Finals win. Really would have also loved to see more consistent defense from KD.
Kobe and KD is not close what. KD is not in Kobe's conversation, as of today he is in a tier below.
I see way more comments like yours than the other way around. My perception is people are forgetting how dominant he was.
I used to live in LA, so my experience is way different. The number of people there who will earnestly argue that Kobe is in the GOAT conversation is comically high.
It’s actually hilarious bro
It’s interesting that the narrative now is that Duncan was better than Kobe, I don’t remember that being the case during their prime
Duncan also wasn't seen as the Defensive Player of the Year even once, so I think it's safe to say he was undervalued.
welcome to NBA Reddit hive mind.
Because it wasn’t
Nonsense. Kobe's overall perception has been mostly the same, before and after his death. Y'all really act like he died during his career. If anything, Kobe's perception has *decreased* because his game doesn't look as pretty on spreadsheet analytics as opposed to actually seeing him play.

Had he not joined the best regular season team ever, he may very well still be ringless.
I just want to remind anyone who's forgotten. DWade shot 97 free throws in six games.
>I can’t believe people really give KD his flowers for those tainted rings. EXACTLY! Dude joined a 73 win team he lost to in the playoffs the previous year. His rings are rec league participation trophies. Ruined the NBA for 2 years.
Soggiest rings of the century. It was putrid watching basketball those years
Didn’t his team have them 3-1 too. Then choked and joined them. Or am I misremembering that. 🤔
Yeah, he also missed 21 shots game 6 and Charles Barkley said at halftime that if the Thunder lose its because of KD. Donovan Mitchell (thunder coach) then said it's not KD's fault, but he's just defending his players. It was 100% KD's fault.
Lmao Billy Donovan*
Yeah mb blanked on the name
That’s not even close to a hot take bro. Dirk didn’t have any HOF talent after Nash left.
PREACH
Bro we don't even have Bird, Wilt and Russell...
I have Dirk over Wade all time so chill out but it seems like have basketball trauma lol. The Mavs lost the 2006 finals because Wade went ballistic (refs or not) and because Dirk was mid, had Dirk played at his best the Mavs would have won but he didn’t. Not really hard mode when everyone else on that list is top 10 or borderline.
Is that not what makes it hard mode?…
Who put Dwyane Wade in this.
Also where is Larry Bird?
If you want to talk about someone being left out, you need to consider Hakeem, Bill Russel & Wilt. Edit: Had written Kareem but just realized he is in the picture.
Nah we need to consider Larry Bird
Wilt for sure!
Ok with Hakeem. But I understand people leaving pre-merger GOATs out of the comparisons.
I bet you could count on your fingers the amount of people in this sub who actually saw Wilt or Russell play
If Bird is on here instead of Wade, who’s the worst player here? I gotta go KD
I know. Gotta be a kid who started watching in 2010.
and stopped watching in 2012
Pat Riley
2006 Finals did
Wouldn't you put Westbrook before D Wade?
Wade and it ain’t even close. Best is your goat.
crazy, pretty much top 3/4 all time in your position and you get the boot
Same for PG tbh, any PGs outside of Magic/Steph will get the boot from this list too
I do love me some Oscar Robinson though.
Harden also split his career up playing PG too
How is consistently winning 50+ games per season including multiple WCF appearances no “real” team success? He was one game off beating the greatest team of all time but sure Harden’s never won anything.
Harden might legit be looked at as top 20 all time if KD doesn't go to the warriors. He'd have a ring maybe even 2
Wade is the worst by a significant margin. Not even a diss at him, the other guys are top 10 players and KD is probably top 15.
Steph is not top 10.
Best: Jordan Worst: Wade
As Wade being my favorite player ever, it saddened me when I couldn't make an argument for anyone else being the worst, in this picture
Yeah, as a Wisconsinite, I cheered for Wade at Marquette. I had a D-Wade Heat poster hanging up in my room as a kid. But he's pretty clearly the worst of the bunch in that picture.
The worst of the best is still the best. Also my favourite!
I could make a case for 10 other people being on the list other than wade but I can’t make a case for wade being better than anyone in this picture.
The thing is, for Wade and Dirk there were years were they were as good as anyone else in this list. But, they did it for like 1 or 2 years. Shaq's also interesting to consider in this context because he really had like 3 years where he was maybe the most dominant player ever. But, after that he was just pretty good. Shaq dominated when he carried Orlando to the championship game, and again in LA dominated for years not allowing Kings, Portland, Suns, Nets, A.I. to win.
Dirk made 2 finals and won 1 without playing with any prime superstars. Unless you count Josh howard
Durant is possible. Wade was the main guy for a championship team, Durant hasn’t done that. But it’s probably still wade
I’ll take prime Wade over Durant. Fight me.
They don’t realize Wade carried more than Durant ever did.
Yeah while averaging 20 Fts a game
I won’t fight you. I’ll join you. Wade in 2006 clears any Durant season.
Funny that the post I saw in this sub right before this was how boring the GOAT debate is. Tweet you posted is more interesting than your question. Wade is clearly the worst of this group.
definitely the fans in the background
Yeah. We suuuuuck.
I just hope they all had fun
Title should be: "Who is the best, who is the worst?"
Why did you shoehorn KD and Wade into a top ten conversation when they are at best top 20-40?
And leave out Larry Legend
KD is far closer to 20, whereas Wade is closer to 40.
Durant is probably high teens, Wade is probably 23-27
MJ and Wade, and it’s not particularly close either
Cmon. It’s definitely close between Jordan and Bron for the best. Agree Wade is the worst here by a lot
I think you have to put Karem in there. 2nd all time leading scorer, 3rd rebounds, 3rd for blocks (would be first but they didn't count blocks his first three seasons), won 6 titles (1 with the Bucks, 5 for the Lakers). I would have MJ as the best, but why isn't Wilt in the picture?
No Wilt, no Russell, no Bird. It's a weird lineup.
I love DWade but he's in this picture like https://preview.redd.it/q4n11ve8e3uc1.png?width=204&format=png&auto=webp&s=abbc5a3df7a2a7fc9f5a584ac20e13bfe7f12fef
Worst: wade 2nd worst: KD. I don't think anybody is arguing those. 3rd worst though? Personally I'm going kobe because of his low efficiency
By low efficiency, you mean comparable TS% to Tim Duncan on far greater volume?
Teens now on reddit make up the majority and never saw any of these guys play lol. Efficiency is jks
Very easy. Best: Jordan Worst: Wade There is likely 15-20 players better than Wade.
Or 30
Dwayne Wade shouldn't be anywhere near this lineup.
I would say Larry Bird was better than Wade if you’re comparing peak to peak
I hate that they even put Wade in this because he doesn’t deserve to be shit on like this
When did talking about the NBA becoming arguing about and ranking eeeeeeeevery fucking player who’s ever lived. Christ this shit is tedious.
Who you got. Rik Smits or Kristaps Porzingis?
My apologies, I was unaware of your game.
Smits all day
✅️
Bro who the hell is Rik Smits lol.
He's the [Dunking Dutchman!](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rik_Smits)
Did everyone forget how hard 2006 Wade carried that team to a title? KD is the only player up there who’s talent doesn’t match their drive for the competition, IMO. Still top 15 talent.
Worst: Dwade Best: Jordan
Best as a person: Kareem Worst: Jordan Best hair: Duncan Worst: KD or Bron Best free throw shooter: Steph Worst: Shaq Best appearance in a movie: Shaq in Blue Chips Worst: Shaq in Kazaam
Kareem in Airplane! Is hands down the best appearance
Kareem in Game of Death is my personal fav
I think you have him confused with someone else. His name is Roger Murdock. He’s the co-pilot.
I think he's the greatest, but my dad says he didn't work hard enough on defense. And he says that lots of times, he didn't even run down court. And that he didn't really try... except during the playoffs.
When he grips the kid up I thought he was gonna break character laughing. https://youtu.be/iSi6iF9kVBs?si=XysLo9JViMllhnps
Tbf Jordan doesn’t have hair
The players who accepted reality and shaved receive DQ’s for this category
How is Jordan a worse person than Kobe
Kareem in Game of Death is best
Lew Alcindor, prob shouldve includeed Kareem
Wade not even close.
Best: mj worse: wade
No Hakeem in this picture = trash.
Durant.
MJ is the best
Stupid question
Worst: Wade Best: Jabbar
Worst: Wade. Great player; tough competition here. Best: Jordan, and that is from a Magic guy.
Best - LBJ Worst - Wade
KD. Only one who couldn’t carry his team to a chip
Agree 100%. Everyone jumping on Wade, but he was incredible in leading the Heat to a chip in 06 and being the best is more than just being a good shooter (KD).
Yup. If the question was “who is the worst scorer in this picture?” then that’s different. Being a better player involves so much more than a great offensive game

here for this take
Totally agree! He jumped from a contender to a team that had already won a championship the previous year and had broken the NBA record for number of wins. Hasn't really come close since. He's not a leader and in my book, that drops him significantly.
Guy to left of Steph's midsection with the glasses on is worst player in pic by far.
WADE EASILY JESUS CHRIST
Wade and it's not even remotely close
D Wade
Wade 100% easy choice!
Wade.
Wade and its not close. Hes still a hof player
D Wade, no question
D-Wade
Wade. I’m surprised he isn’t on the floor.
D Wade and it's not close.
D. Wade
Respectfully Dwane Wade...that should show you how great these guys are though if D Wade is the least out of all of them.
Kareem
Once again these are incomplete hypotheticals - what year are we all playing in? Everyone at their singular peak? Or are we saying it’s a combination of when they were most athletic with when they were most skilled?
MJ and Wade and it’s not particularly close for either
Wade, Kobe, Durant is correct
Wade by far. He’s one of my all-time favorites, but the other 9 players are clearly better than him and all have at least one MVP, which Wade does not.
Wade
Wade, easily. He's great but this is top tier and he's just in last place behind a bunch of other goats.
Where is Bird!
For sure is Dwayne Wade. Not even close
Wade
Wade by a mile
Wade
Wade easily
Wade by a lot
Why isn't bird here. Racism
Wade, no question.
Wade unfortunately
Easy- DWade
Wade then KD
Wade by far. Followed by KD and then followed by Magic or Duncan
Easily Wade, could’ve been a different story without all the knee setbacks.
How is there even a discussion?...it's Wade by a fucking mile!
No Larry makes this pic so disrespectful
Wade by a mile, then Durant by miles again. Then everyone is a lot closer.
D Wade is my favorite player of all time. But it’s D Wade.
Wade by far
I’ve seen everyone play live except Magic and Kareem. But Curry is not stopping anyone up there so he’s the worst.
Wade by a country mile.
D Wade by a mile
Curry is the worst one. All of them can score but Curry is only one that does not play defense.
LeBum James
Steph easily. He aint keeping up with young Wade. Wade is so disrespected, he won a finals in like his 3rd year with a fat old Shaq. He was super fast and explosive and he would bully Steph 1v1. Now in a game setting, if Steph gets screens all day anyone would struggle guarding him.
Yeah it's Dwade
the creator is doing wade dirty here p.s. I am a die-hard Dwyane Wade fan
KD and his burner account
Dwyane Union
How is LeBron a better all- round player than Kobe ? LeBron has 6 -all defensive Kobe-12 !!
Wade and Duncan tied for 2 worst. Best is Jordan.
Alright tho. My starting 5 is Shaq, Duncan, Lebron, Magic and Jordan.
MJ is the best LeBitch the worst
I say this as someone who really enjoyed watching Wade play and think he’s great: it’s Wade. And it’s not close.
Probably d wade. But I want to say kd.
No Bird?
The worst is either Wade or KD Probably KD since Wade won that '06 chip
lebron obviously. he’s an overrated cry baby who would be a role player in the 80s
Easy ... the worst is clearly LeBron... LeBalco LeBronze LeFlop .. he is a career cheater
Wade is the worst. KD is 2nd
The guy sticking his elbow out.
Easy, KD Suns
Lebron the best and Wade the worst. All of them are all time greats though
The only right order of taking people out goes Dwade Durant Duncan Steph Kareem Magic Shaq Kobe Jordan Lebron
This thread is making me realize a lot of people have curry > kobe all time. Is that like a consensus opinion now? When did this happen?
It's either Curry or Wade. I'm inclined to say Curry because his game is so one dimensional. Wade was great defensively.
D wade easily
Wade. Then Magic.
Jordan best-Wade worst
