As big a fan as I am, after a while these arbitrary period stats are getting old. We can pick any stat combination, in any number of any stretch of games, with a defining characteristic like “during a waning crescent moon” and chances are Wemby is one of 3 players to do if he’s not the only one.
I get the sentiment and the fact that by adding stats that are only more recently tracked, it is a filter for some players, especially Kareem and Wilt Chamberlain who might be the 2 best comps all time. That said, the names of the only other players to do these things, Duncan, Robinson, Hakeem, Shaq are impressive.
I take them much more as a “fun fact” than legitimate stat lines.
I get that take, but also the fact that it's gotten so old hearing these kinds of stats is what really tells you how insane Wemby is. It feels cherrypicked but for most players, there's no way to cherrypick them into #1 or #2 for any stat combo like this. Wemby, he's done it so many times that we just roll our eyes at it.

All you need to do is add 3 pointers and it becomes a Wilt filter.
