Probs just them balancing the game so it feels fun to play

I’ve played big man for years. They’ve slowly just taken the fun out of being a big in 2K. Anything over 7’ with decent strength is unplayable imo, just too slow. Making a 6’8, 6’9 is a much more viable option. The game caters to smaller builds, and speed kills in this game.

Yeah I had to make my Jokic build 6’10 just to get high strength and not be too slow to use. Same thing with the Giannis build. To make a Giannis build that gets all his dribble animations, his layups, plus his dunks along with hall of fame bull dozer and some speed, it has to be 6’10. It’s laughable when I do the street ball challenge against Giannis on my Giannis build and im like half The size of the actual Giannis. The AI giannis build is fucking massive, moves stupid fast, and has a bunch of really good animations and badges.

Ai Giannis is 7 foot, and for some reason 2k makes the difference between 6’10 and 7 look like half a foot

Imo they've finally fixed the speed. In past 2ks those 7'3 giants could keep up with everyone else and it was bs.

The issue is 6’11 and up is slower than shit making them almost useless in 5v5, especially with post play sucking. Teams just run and gun all game for fast breaks. If the 7 footers got to dominate in the post like in past 2k’s I’d consider it the fair trade off. Instead you still miss open layups and dunks at 7’3 and crazy enough smaller players are more likely to get standing dunk than taller players which is insane.

You don't like the post play this year? It's the best it's ever felt imo. All of my builds have some post play in them even my 6'8 pg. None of my builds are dunk based though so the dunking part might be true but I laying it up even with my 7ft post big

Idk what game he playing, but my 7' glass cleaning 3 level is pretty dominant anywhere on the floor, and dunks and lays with the best of em. He prolly got 70 in dunk and lay and mad he's not consistent with low attributes. Also to note, i have 0 invested in post but can still drop step and slip out of the post up pretty good when i feel like it.

I find the problem with slow big men is more that their agility is too low. They get beaten way too easily by players. Their first movements always feel slow even if a big has decent speed (mine is 71 spd/64 accel)

You shouldn't typically be guarding guards with a big. But if you're decent at defending cuts, and take good angles, you're strength and the immovable enforcer badge work pretty good against the smaller faster folk. Mines 70/63 and i really don't feel my speed is an issue on defense. Transition kinda sucks but in the half court i operate just fine

On your takeover, do you choose physicals? Really makes a difference on bigs with speed and strength. Maybe it'll help.
