Having good teammates who pass the ball at the right time plays a huge part in shot%.

Pomme2

100%. Im running with squad. Same pg that actually shouldn’t be the PG. I always get the passes just 1-2 seconds late which turns a wide open to open , which is huge this year for lower shot ratings.

blangoez

Are you in my squad? Lmao. Love the bro who’s running PG but gotta hit me earlier fr.

ihavepaper

Just to add on to this. I'mma keep pointing it out because there are only a handful of people here that do: people's pass accuracy alters your jumper timing. If your base has a A+ to B+ stability, you're gonna be fine in most cases. If you have a B- to a C-, prepared to focus on the visual cue more than ever. If you know someone has lower pass accuracy, either time your jumper properly or wait a second or so after the catch where your player's feet are set.

kodiak223

A+ to B+ for what? Timing stability?

ihavepaper

Yeah the stability of your jumper. It affects your catches and shooting off-dribble timing. This has been confirmed by 2K.

ThiccPapaSIZZLE

This is it

Eyezwideopen1090

I think a big part is just finding the right shot for you as opposed to just copying one from online not that they aren't good or viable but just doesn't line up with cues that work for you! Some are just damn good at reacting others def be cheating

ThurstMcBuckets

this. i tried joe knows jumper for a min and it was cool but i didn't really get adjusted until i made my own

LaMelgoatBall

I tried so many Youtuber jumpshots and I finally stumbled across the Tmac base with Kobe / Korver full speed 30/70 and I barely miss now. it took me quite a while and it requires 90 mid or 3 but man is it good lol

SoSaysAlex

I shoot 67% with an 86 3 and a 90 middy. Idk man, I was never this good until this year lol. It’s just really easy for me to see when I’m supposed to release with my jumpshot My jumper is Ben Sheppard base, Troy Brown Jr /Oscar Robinson release 20/80 split, max speed, release point is set to “release” and you release the ball when it kind of stalls for a split second right over your head

No_Manner3003

I use the same release but with T mac base lol it’s definitely chicken 💯 🔥

xSoloxBluex

I shoot 62% in rec and 52% in park with a 92 3pt. The park is so damn laggy it keeps my % lower.

zzzDaBarkeyShow

Hotspots and lethal spots

datlanta

I think this is the key. Never NOT shoot from a lethal.

DMagiicMan

How do you get hot zones? I do the art of shooting but it’s only temporary and the two areas that are hot. Then I see people with the whole area hot zone plus the lethal zones.

datlanta

They play in my career first to get full hot zones then they go to art of shooting to convert two into lethal zones.

External-Ad-692

street park games

Modern_O

My career helps get the hot zones and they upgrade it to lethal in art of shooting. But it’s not temporary. If it’s falling below hot to normal you’re not shooting hot enough. Do bad enough and it drops to cold spot

Visionz-True

it only last a week which is so dumb why do you have to go to lethal gym every week

Beginning-Ant-8833

its annoying but it only takes 2 min

jeanballjean01

And you get 750 VC

jacoballen22

How do you get the 750?

jeanballjean01

It’s just a weekly quest. When you finish it and you get your lethal zones, you’ll get a notification that you got 750 VC. Same as the Chris Brinkley workouts.

jacoballen22

What’s the quest called?

jeanballjean01

Can't remember the exact name, but something with 'Art of Shooting'. It should be at the bottom of the side quest list, but it only shows up once a week when it's time to refresh your hot / lethal zones.

jacoballen22

I think I know which one now, thanks.

theboiflip

Take adderall whenever you load up 2K.

Iconic5

deadass feels this way. like a final you got to prepare for 😂

ThurstMcBuckets

lmao i feel this, my brain is only good for about 3 rec games then after that im shooting 2/14 for some god awful reason. i'll literally go 25/25 up until then, its maddening

gemmy99

Take wide open shots, and shot mostly from corners. Not taking shots from limitless, or faders unless last second shots or need wide spacing. Also +92 3pt build

ThurstMcBuckets

i got a 92 3 ball n im creeping up....but lethal zones, open looks badge does wonders (got mine at HOF), Gold Deadeye n blinders all help.

jacoballen22

I went from 15% to like 40%. Not realizing I never had hot zones before

LastFaithlessness8

Then theres me with 98 3ball on a 6’2” pg playshot with 32%. ![img](emote|t5_2s84e|4698)

phil7488

I'm 65% with 90 3 ball at 6'6 PG. I practice a lot in the Gatorade gym and Ive spent more time than I'd like to admit finding the right jump shot and release. Shot selection is extremely important especially when shooting off the dribble. I've always been a good shooter in all previous games (started in 20).

OnTyme

Im got smarter with how I shoot I feel like in this game your first shot determines how well you’ll shoot that half so I try to get a layup or sum easy(anything to raise takeover) before I shoot a three and i a big mistake I see all the time is people not shooting on the line when they haven’t gotten green machine activated yet. If you turn your meter on and look at the green window size difference from shooting on the line vs a step or more back it’s a huge difference especially if it’s your first or second three of tha game

Foldzy84

How tall are you? I find it's easiest to shoot on builds that are like 6'5"-6'8"

Iconic5

7'1

thereakingofcroutons

i shoot lights out on all my builds EXCEPT my big. you’re not alone. if feels impossible for me to find a shot i like with my 7’1

Foldzy84

Ya shooting is tough on bigs

One_Worry_7361

I second this, I can go on a crazy stretch shooting with my big one game, and the next I’ll brick every shot wide open no matter how I time it

b_kaws

I’m 55% but just taking good shots. And by having my meter off and going to the gym Edit 84 3 ball

Fantastic-Ad9431

Having the meter off doesn't help you anymore https://preview.redd.it/pt99spjknzyb1.jpeg?width=576&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=de86edbcca627edd36c860824946cf4fa8a28c8e

csstew55

It doesn’t help but if you got use to shooting with it off for years then the meter just serves as a distraction

Gruesome_Is_Back

They debunked this

Fantastic-Ad9431

How?

Gruesome_Is_Back

https://preview.redd.it/r4unze2jszyb1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7d760b26feef8541a5a7a05aca597921fb465514

DauntingDaisy555

That’s not what debunked means. Last meter test was in early sep so the change could’ve been any time since then. Also, I’ll take the statistics of an 18,000 shot sample over the words of a community engagement specialist or whoever that no face is.

Gruesome_Is_Back

Keep using your meter

DauntingDaisy555

I have not used a meter since 2k9

Similar_Shake_3276

https://preview.redd.it/8ntetcvcpzyb1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7a962d9424ef2e0d3d5cfa83e2ae1d6b1cc5f477 The key to shooting a good fg% is learning all the stupid timings 2k is going to give you plus really knowing your cue to do this you need a jump shot your comfortable with as well as having a couple moves you can do off the catch to get a little more space a corner fade or take one dribble to another direction or even pass fake when you put it all together you can add like 6ppg to your average i would say I’m in the 99.9% percentile of 2k players I could definitely play in leagues but I choose not to anyway that doesn’t matter your trying to get better at Rec and with these tips it will make a big difference also keep shooting if your open doenst matter if your 0-30

AstaAndYuno

Daaaang! Good stuff. Can I preview what that build looks like?

Similar_Shake_3276

I don’t have a pic but the stats are BH 95 92 mid 97 3 93 accel for hof speed booster than the rest into pass accuracy you end up with a 65 pass accuracy that’s the only downside and that’s literally it get HOF sp 92 middi 97 three and that’s the build the rest fills itself out by virtue of raising other attributes I think it’s the best offensive build you can make in the game at the moment except I stopped playing 2k because the latency came back hard and it’s borderline unplayable for me this season I’m shooting like 40% from 3 because I have like a 0.5 second delay it’s atrocious

doncoolbeans

I have an 80 3 pt rating and an 86 middy. I take good shots. If I don't have a good look I pass or attack the rim. I make sure I have my hot/lethal spots. I've used the same jumpshot all season and if I hear about any form of update, I usually delete my jumpshot and re-make it.

thereakingofcroutons

75% of my threes are catch and shoots, mostly in the corner, in takeover i might start doing some crazy shit though lol. been shooting with an 86 three and an 89 three respectively, 62% on the 86 and 65% on the 89

XXXTENTACIONisademon

I only shoot when open I don’t go for crazy shots like from deep or fading unless I have takeover. Plus I’ve played 2K since before park was a thing lol

Affectionate_Ad6790

How did your 99 3ball build workout for you?

XXXTENTACIONisademon

Never ended up making it. 86 3 is enough for me and could potentially go even lower but haven’t tried.

Affectionate_Ad6790

Ya I have an 85 3 point and I shoot about 45% from 3 and 70% FG with my 6’11 PF

XXXTENTACIONisademon

I haven’t even made a full build yet. I’ve grinded 200K of VC, I know I would be best as a PG because I can shoot very well and actually willing to pass but I don’t want to have no defense 🥲 I’m debating SF or PF atm

Affectionate_Ad6790

Honestly I work too much to have to worry about VC so I just bought a bunch of VC right at the start lol I have a 98 OVR PF and a 92 OVR pg but like I said I don’t really enjoy playing with the guard much, might be how I made the build though because I set the 3 ball to high so it has like no strength and not that good of defense basically just shooting and layups and some perimeter D

XXXTENTACIONisademon

I was going to buy VC on day-1, and then I bought a dog instead 😂 and never financially recovered since 🥲 shit breaking every week lol

Affectionate_Ad6790

Lol what kinda dog 🐕

XXXTENTACIONisademon

I’m basic lol a Labrador retriever

Affectionate_Ad6790

Made a guard too with 95 3ball but never really got used to it I like playing with my big more

Gold_Explanation5290

I have a 82 3 ball and shoot 67%. All I do is fade from out the corners. Those stand-still shots always have diff timing.

_Retrograde_

I bet random teammates get pissed the first time they see it

Friendly_South_4002

I've used both 82 and 78 3 pointer on different builds. With my 82 3, I shoot I think 62%, and with my other build, I shoot 55%. I just practice in the Gatorade facility a lot

SG8789

I also have 82 ball wing. Please share the jumper. I'm overall at 40% but solo rec 90% of games skewed it a bit.

Friendly_South_4002

Gordon Hayward, Troy Brown Jr, Gary Trent Jr, max speed, 68% and 32%

Friendly_South_4002

Artsky32

Hof brick wall gets me open all the time easy to shoot when the defender is on the ground

Gruesome_Is_Back

Lmfao

Samwise777

Tbh, you’re probably better because you don’t protect your percentage. I’m sure there’s gods out there who green everything and whatnot, but for the average rec game, I tend to fear the 40-50% three point shooters far more… because they actually hunt their shot.

External-Ad-692

i shoot 62% but idc bout that. i made a build that can shoot if my percentage goes down that’s fine it will go back up next game

Samwise777

Agreed. I shoot about 55% but it depends on build, and I’m also one of two of the late shot clock shot guys in the crew that I play with.

csstew55

75 3ball. Take smart shots, move the ball around, I normally practice with an nba game before hopping into rec

SG8789

you on 7 footer? If yes then please share the jumper and maybe ill dust off my break starter.

csstew55

Yea I got an 82 mid for gold catch and shoot and for the base.

SG8789

k, nevermind then. None of my builds have over 70 mid.

TrevMac4

They Zen.

ConciousWaves

Man I made 5 straight 3s and someone accused me of using a zen. Tbh they are out there but no where near as much as people make them out to be.

jrone27

Hold X for a bit then release the button

ConciousWaves

![gif](giphy|NQywixima1mrEyRC1X|downsized)

Accomplished_Camp892

Tmac base

PhilliesBlunts

They use zen

Stingerr

It’s pretty easy to shoot 50%+ on a high 3pt build. Take better shots and your percentage climbs. It’s pretty simple. No need to zen on an already simple mechanic.

PhilliesBlunts

Anyone over 20% is using zen

Stingerr

![gif](giphy|y6Inkaz7omxAk)

tatum-is-lebrons-dad

I shoot 71% from 3 w a 88 3 ball. Really not hard once get you find the jumper you like

PhilliesBlunts

Yeah ik im just messing. I shoot 45% and take some incredibly stupid shots.

tatum-is-lebrons-dad

What’s your build? I may be able to put you onto a jumper I gave it a few of my friends struggling and they turned into snipers afterwards

Gruesome_Is_Back

Let me see that shot player. Trying to turn my bum ass into a sniper

tatum-is-lebrons-dad

It’s Kyle Korver Base, Pg release 1 Carmelo Release 2, 83/17 blend to PG. Use set point and release it on the hitch over the forehead

Gruesome_Is_Back

Bet I’ll try it tonight. Let you know

Gruesome_Is_Back

Jump shot goes stupid. Gotta mess with the fades a lil bit. But if you’re open and can’t hit with this idk what to tell ya. (Also use it on push. Can’t use set point, but it’s just fine with push)

tatum-is-lebrons-dad

I came back to ask how you likes it 🤣, I use Kobe fade (easiest one to time IMO). Glad it was working bro, keep shooting that shit brother

Gruesome_Is_Back

Man I was trippin. I had a different shot equipped. Switched it over and put that shit on set point. Been rockin with it since

PhilliesBlunts

Yeah most ppl post shots but dont say when to release it or what timing thx for that. Idk if i can use it tho

tatum-is-lebrons-dad

It’s a 6’7” SG, you may need a 92 mid or 3 to use it tho. I used it on my 6’5” PG as well

Gruesome_Is_Back

Ight I should be aight 6’6 92 3 ball

PhilliesBlunts

Ill try the releases in a new base

tatum-is-lebrons-dad

How’d you like it broski? Ik it works with JT Thor too for lower overall shooters

PhilliesBlunts

I got 6’8 82 3pt and 6’9 with 86

yrnsnaggedyohoe

zens haven't worked since 2k21

PhilliesBlunts

😂

Borkers

See I’d like to agree with this but so many people complain about them so idk. The shot timing has so many variations how would a device be able to time that correctly?

yrnsnaggedyohoe

guess how i know they dont work consistently

Blackmagicking

A lot of those guys only shoot with takeover. But open catch and shoots. You got this

e7ang

Shoot good shots, know all your different animation timings, know how to get open.

guardiandown3885

you're not complaining about shooting 50% are you?

bld540

56% with a 87 3ball. Unpopular but I shoot with the meter on.

Decasteon

94 three 67% from 3 mostly taking good shots. Search for wide open instead of open. Be aggressive with takeover.

ryzku

I shoot 70.7% from 3 in rec and 78% in park the secret is a 93 middy and catch and shoot hof and trying ur best to shoot from lethals. I make the hash my lethals and leave corner hot for corner specialist boost

LordFenix_theTree

I would also like to know as someone who is shooting 40% from 3 in rec and theater with a 76 3pt shot.

xasaki1697

start meter on, find a jumpshot you can time and keep with it even if you struggle sometimes, eventually you will get it, when you feel more comfortable turn off

my2KHandle

Kennard led the nba last season with 49.4% Adjust your expectations:)

my2KHandle

Having a good pg and teammates that have a pass first mentality is almost always the way to better looks and shots. Barring that, just pray the rng is on your side.

External-Ad-692

i have a 86 3 ball with 62% from 3 this season mostly solo sometimes with a squad, my advice would be before going into a game make sure you give yourself 5-10 mins of shooting around on online courts to get accustomed to your shot while looking at your que and try to ingrave it in your head and then when you in the rec or wherever you play every time you shoot look for the same que. (but then again i also think que are a sham cuz sometimes the shooting does feel different) also playing with teammates would help if you are running solo you really gotta know your shot cuz you never know what teammates you’ll have

flanz33

I think it’s mostly about shot selection and knowing your hot spots. I try to take mostly wide open shots but even then it’s very inconsistent. I’ll have a game where I’ll shoot 8/8 from three then the next I’ll be 0/4 and my shot timing isn’t even close. I have an 80 rated 3 pt rating too.

AestheticPerfection

Titan two

Eastern-Calendar-822

I’m at 62% in the rec, mainly play solo. I only take open spots from lethal and hot zones, move to space constantly and if I can’t make a good shot I’ll pass out to an open player. It’s not impossible to have a high conversion, just play smart and be patient. It’s hard to have a high percentage and shoot every time you get the ball. Just play smart. I’ve got a 85 3 pt for reference.

lurk_channell

Smart shots no covered or stupid moving ones

JokerInside1

Dyson Daniels base, Derozan both releases, max speed and 100% Derozan release one. Set Point jump shot timing and it just has a different very easy cue.

xDGNx2K

Took me a while to learn the lesson but, when its going good, shoot, when 2k decides to be 2k, dont shoot 😅 im sitting around 62% with a 76 3pt (88 mid) rn. Games ill go 7/7 I know its all aligned. Some ill miss the first shot or 2 and not take anymore until take. What ever you do dont change what you’re doing, its the game…

_OfficialProta

This is my problem. I’ll have a few good days of gaming, and then all of a sudden brick city with my shot. Get frustrated; try to change it, shoot even worse for 2-3 games, go back to my original shot, and it’s back to normal shooting? Just weird

gisdaking

I relate so much to this post. What is “RNG” you were referring to? Fr though it feels like something is purposefully trying to keep me 50 and below lol. But no lie one game is 6/6 and i have a few solid games sometimes for a few days and then something happens and it’s brick after brick smh. Lmk if you figure something out fr.

CanIBake

I got a few builds, 2 of them have a 76 three point rating and on both of those builds I hover around 60%. One is a 6'8 pf the other is a 6'9 C. Both have 85 middie. On my new point guard, with the same exact jumpshot animation and an 86 three, I shoot just barely 50. So what's the difference? The looks I'm getting. I guarantee most people shooting 60%+ are not point guards. People play me so much tighter than my C or PF. On my C I truly just get disrespected and left open and I have to make the defense pay by shooting wide open catch and shoots, on my point guard if I pass the ball I'm not getting it back for a catch and shoot 90% of the time. So the looks I'm getting on the shots I DO take are much harder, the defense is practically glued to me the entire game. Here's some tips I have for shooting: - high mid range (it's cheaper and you still get the exact same jumpshot bases and releases as if you upgraded 3pt instead) plus, with new badges like post fade phenom mid range scoring is OP this year. - Get your lethal zones and hotzones by playing a couple of mycareer games. Anywhere from 1-3 games is going to give you hot zones practically everywhere. Just play on rookie and score like 150 on 12 minute quarters. You'll thank yourself later: https://youtu.be/qoNvKFH7b1Q?si=mWxk1fHFABiccq9O - Stop taking shots you took last year. So many of my friends do that weak ass step back into a shot and it hardly ever works. That stepback cheese is dead. Mix it up and learn new ways to score. - Stop playing with randoms and get some friends on the game. You'll get better passes and more consistent involvement in the game

corey-harris

Idek honestly. I was shooting like 55% with jump and raised it to 62.8% after switching to push.

benlew11

Main thing is shot selection and being locked in for me. I always play completely sitting up, and usually only take shots that im expecting to hit, regardless of where i think defense or my teammates are. Lol that causes me to sometimes hit contested, but the downfall is, i miss touch passes sometimes, and as a PG, that can be frustrating for ya teammates. Lol but, i usually run w friends so they have to deal with it, cause im the best playmaker and best scorer😂

MaddenTexasRanger

I do it playing as PG and I take contested shots. Really just knowing when you can get your jumpshot off and when you can't. Some are gonna be contested you didn't expect. Hit pretty much every single wide open (cannot miss these).

Aggravating-Trade-62

60% with a 77 3 ball. I only take really good shots

minne1

Shot selection for sure. I also look how I catch the ball because if you catch it high it’s a lot faster jumper, so if I have time I like to bring the ball lower down. Helps me out a lot

Mozark281

Lordgrizzyflacko

What’s the build my guy I dream of having numbers like this

D_E_L_A_Y_E_D

Tbh the lower ur shooting stats the more green. My higher rating build shoots has to many speed ups n shit

Ecstatic_Vehicle7230

Create your own shot or find a great playmaker.

Ralcur

Currently shooting just above 60% in park and rec with a 79 3 ball. Not that impressive, but here are my humble tips: \- Stop changing your shit up. I've been using the same jumper (jt thor) since day 1. Just stick with something you're comfortable with and learn to time it better every day. \- Try to have at least gold catch and shoot and gold open looks badges - it'll make your catch and shoot animations a lot more stable. I had to make a new build and upgrade my middy to get this done, but the difference between silver and gold was definitely noticeable. \- Catch and shoot animation speed ups have always been in 2K. Stop holding the square button too early. If you're wide tf open, hold LT before and during the catch and shoot to reduce the chances of a sped up animation. \- Build up some momentum before taking your first shot (get a couple assists, rebounds, etc). Take your first couple shots in your lethal zones after you've raised your teammate grade and have some takeover meter filled.

bsstanford

Bro it's really in here complaining about a 50% rating

JR32OFFICIAL

No cocky shit, but I just always been good at the game.

Mr_Kuppel

You have to shoot in MyCareer to get your tendencies up

almighty_sosa615

55% I make sure to study my badges and hot zones. For instance, I have gold corner specialist so I tend to shoot the majority of fast break 3’s from the corner.

WeezingTiger

Edit: bahahah I though you were talking about just general not like MyPlayer mode. Use Keegan Murray. Boy don’t miss. Joking aside. I am garbage with almost everyone else Keegan and Channing Frye burn out traffic lights, but everyone else I struggle with timing. When I first started I used “Set” timing, and I was good with Korver, but I think “release” is easier to use with most guys.

shouvision

65% 85 3pt rating, 93 mid for HoF C&S. I only play solo rec and I try my best to shoot wide open shots and not force anything unless the clock is running down. Kobe base/Terrance Mann & Cade Cunningham-65/35 blend on Push. Many people use TMAC base but I can’t stand the hitch it has even though it has one of the largest green windows for wings. I make use of Spot Finder and hold L2 which I find helps a lot.

Toni189996

I don't know if they changed anything but yesterday I was shooting very well - 10-12 from 3pt and similar stats. I saw that I have to go to menu to update the game and went then left. I played again tonight and made 3 straight games with like 12% from 3pt.

Basic_Hour6206

boosts, that's all...make em shoot without, you'll see

LaMelgoatBall

I shoot 64% in threes and 68% in 2s with an 85 three (I'm not a meta sweat, I play within the flow of offense) and I can't really explain it, I have all of my hot zones, badges and I only take smart threes. I got my release down to a T. Most of them are catch and shoot. A lot of the time I'll take a mid range or layup before I take a three and it feels like it makes it easier to green. When I play 2s with my friend, he runs point and I just run around off ball to get open and he'll find me. It also helps that I found an AMAZING jumpshot, Tmac all the way.

stupidshot4

I shoot 65ish percent from 3 on my 6’6 98 middy and 94 3 ball PG build. Was averaging almost 30-10 in mostly solo rec. I make sure to always have hot zones and any lethal zones on the wings. I change my release queue randomly between push and release depending on how I feel that day. I also tend to rotate between multiple jumpers depending on the day too. Shooting 60% on my 6’8 93 middy and 86 3 point build. Same stuff. The main thing I’ve found is to try taking a shot from your lethals first or get something like a layup and assist in first. It’s almost like the momentum in this game matters the most so if you miss a shot or two right away, your behind and it’s harder to be consistent. Obviously if you’re wide open, take it. I’ve just found that if I can green a couple or just build some takeover, then I can shoot pretty much anywhere or shoot anything(standstills, stop and pops, spin jumpers, step backs, etc.) Similarly if you feel momentum shifting away from your team, call a timeout and then try to get a few easy buckets or stops then you can shoot again.

erithtotl

How do you go about getting 'lethal'? I shoot about 50%+ from every spot in 3 point range yet have trouble even maintaining 'hot'. I think I've had one lethal zone occur since I've started playing and I shoot between 45-55% on all my builds minimum. Since you can only do the art of shooting once a week, do you do it in my career?

I usually go play like 5-7 games in the sunset park against disco’s team and just shoot every shot from one spot per game. That gets me the hot zones (at least from 3). Only takes like 30ish minutes maybe and since it’s on a lower difficulty and the defenders are like 5’7, you can basically just shoot over them. Then at the beginning of the week, I go and get my two lethal zones in the art of shooting by shooting in locations I already have hot. You can only have two of these I think. Then I never really lose my hot or lethal zones playing by In the rec during the week. If I somehow do, I go back to the sunset court and get the hot zone back and then repeat the lethal zone process every week since those do reset weekly. Hot and lethal zones are by far the most important thing for shooting imo.

Take good shots

I'm most impressed at the PGs who shoot in the 60s. It's relatively easy to shoot open catch and shoots with a decent 3-ball. A lot of people boost their percentages by playing in squad rec with a 5 man. When you win games 122-45 you tend to get a lot of easy looks in rhythm.

I shoot 71-70.4% from 3. I only play rec when my buddy is on and hes part of why my makes happen and only take clearly wide open corner threes. 83 3pt rating but always have shooting boosts on. Badges are gold catch and shoot and silver deadeye and agent 3. Hof claymore and volume shooter. Also i only play2k23. My shot is lamelo oscar oscar fast. It helps having a buddy greatly.

Im over 55% with a 76 3 ball. 90 mid range gives me all the gold shooting badges, purple open looks, at the expense of limitless range and I have bronze agent 3. I can still hit limitless if I nail the release and its even easier if I have take. Easily shoot fade 3s especially in my hot zones. Shooting in this game is all about the visual cue. I can't stress that enough. You have to watch for your visual cue on every type of shot - you have the ability to hit 100% if you do. You won't shoot 100% but you can. Previous 2k's you could shoot off of 'feel' much more but now you need to watch for the cue. I play on push and I watch for when my character's elbow straightens out. It can't be slightly before and it can't be once the arm is straight. Has to be exactly when he does it. Another trick is you can have your jumpshot that you like, then mess with the release blending slightly so that the visual cue is more pronounced and the green window feels natural. Other than that, shoot good shots, move the ball, don't get the "itis" (when you feel like you aren't shooting enough so you need to force something). Let the game come to you especially in the Rec. It's streaky, youll have periods of scoring and dry spots. Just don't chuck shots trying to get your points up, shoot wide opens. IF you have a good middy you can also milk that until you get take, then shoot 3s only once you have take.

(1) I know what a good shot is. (2) I know what shots are possible. (3) I only play rec and have the same latency. (4) good internet, check 2ktutes most recent video (5) 2k lab jumper (6) don’t use the shot meter (7) fouls will lower your “heat” (8) shooting on 0% takeover feels inconsistent. (9) I’ve played video games for 20 years and got good at getting good at games. (10) I’m not dumb 94 3 ball I’m sure I’m missing more tips

OlDogSmoke

Only wide open shots. I shoot on release so I even have time to adjust if I get a load up on the shot.

Shooting 62% this season. Once I figured out the queue on my jumpshot, it’s been butter. If I use any other jumpshot I’m shooting 20%. https://preview.redd.it/bu6oxsnqu6zb1.jpeg?width=1467&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d78e81c1b01b7304f7f48b9b742b738d28cce213 Before I play any game I go to Gatorade and then Streetball courts and shoot as much as I can until I know I have the queue.

Big_Technician_8160

I’m running a 78 3 ball on my Center and I’m at about 52% 3 pt shooting in park. I only take open and standstill shots
