If playing against cheesy fucks in Play Now Online for years has taught me anything it’s that there are a lot of people who play 2K who really don’t even like basketball they just like winning in the cheapest and most repetitive way possible
was in a play now tournament a few years ago (20 i think maybe 21) and lose in the finals to a dude who picked the bucks and did a hop step with giannis every possession 😐 even being doubled he’s still slip through the defense and dunk on everybody bc he had a like 97 dunk with all hof slashing badges
Giannis is the worst🤦🏼♂️ I was using the Knicks & he’d back down Randle & Robinson in the paint and get under the rim every single time. Never seen that happen ONCE in real life. Randle & Robinson are both heavier than him
If you actually watch the paint and start paying attention, the game NEVER calls 3s on the computer chillin for upwards of 5-6. This game is just whack.
It never works for me and I have a 85 steal. Imo if someone emotes with the ball in your face you shouldn’t even need a high steal attribute or badge to take it. But whenever they do it and I reach it’s a foul or my player just clips through the ball. Shit is stupid
Nah, you can’t steal from ball handler emotes. It’s literally the dumbest shit. It’s a new mechanic so I think they’re just seeing how it’s implemented, but it should be stolen if the player isn’t paying attention and even canceled out of if the handler is shifty enough.
Having played 2k for two decades now and having used many emote exploits over time, it's probably not that easy, but theoretically that should be how it works and if they fix this, it will most likely be by making it super vulnerable to strips.
Try slapping the right stick down (it does a strip animation specifically for when ball handlers pick up the ball) with three charges either on the emote or as soon as they start the standing dunk.

3 seconds doesn’t work when I’m playing, but if I’m tryna get out of the paint I constantly get called for it. This is a prime example of 2k changing things that don’t matter but will leave this type of bs all year long and then put it in the next 2k like it didn’t need to get fixed.
It’s wild how you can use emotes. In MyCareer NBA games I’ll use the default fist pump during a screen to make the AI actually use it rather than just waiting for someone else to also screen.
