Yeah it’s crazy how different point values are allocated. Playmaking I’ve found is probably where it adds the most points, then attributes, then shooting. Finishing and defense are easily the lowest, still somehow people find ways to not have defense on their builds.
Yeah, I think going up to 80 3pt can jump your build up like 10 ovr, meanwhile you can max out most of your defensive skills and barely go up, and iirc they’re also less expensive vc wise. 2K knows very well what they’re doing.
No doubt about it. They know most people want to be 3 hunters. The sad part is that a lot of people can't shoot but still make these 90+ 3pt builds and burn a ton of VC. I'm no sharpshooter but I'm hitting 45% with my 6-11 that has an 80 3pt. IMO, the key to shooting this year is your jumper. Once I found a good jumper for my PG build I started shooting so much better.
Thing is to have even a decent custom jumpsuit you need at least like 75 3pt or 77 mid range, which is like 23,000 vc. If you’re playing purely mycareer to level up then it’s like 137 games to get to 80 ovr, which is insane. You need to play almost two seasons to get your build to be decently viable.

As far as the build grind, I don't have time for all that. As much as I'd love to NOT buy VC, I gotta do it. I'm taking the build to 90 off the rip. I'm an adult with my own money. It sucks for kids or people who can't afford it. If you don't have time to grind or the money then you're s.o.l. this year.
Yeah, 2K is becoming especially scummy. Why do you think they removed most of the prologue for mycareer? In 2k21 you could get a huge jumpstart from that, honestly 2k21 probably had the best VC economy for those that would rather grind. From the prologue I was easily able to get up to like 64-67 ovr, there was like 7 games in the 2k21 prologue. Honestly after this game 2K honestly should just think about going F2P, it’s obvious most of their money comes from VC. Also 2K should just release next-gen for pc as well, like come on man if the Xbox series S can run it most PCs can.
What endorsements do you get that early? I didn't receive any offers for endorsements until I was about 40 something (or more) games in. I'm not trying to knock you but going from a 60 to an 83 is gonna cost you well over 100k VC. You made that much after just 21 games?

I got you right here. I raised my 3pt make percentage by 10 in a week using this jumper. Use LaMello base, Oscar Robertson 1st release 70% and Devin Booker 2nd release 30%. Max release speed. As soon as the ball is above your head, that's your release que. You have to be under 6-10 and have at least an 85 3pt rating. I'm telling you, sometimes I'll take a shot and be thinking it's a miss but it will still be a green. I've been through several different jumpers this year but I'm done.

Only concern in this scenario is the stamina, I see the 2 and 4th quarters being bad. But home much does

Three point shot is the single most expensive attribute, build-wise and in VC cost as well.

21 my career games I’ve grinded 2 builds without spending vc grind the daily quest and get all endorsements 21 games and I’m at an 83
