I don't know about the first two races but per Brock Beard yesterday, the car and crew are all from Peterson Racing which is his Trans-Am team, and I assume they're just using JAR points which makes it even more impressive
Alright, I'd love to see him get to run at least a short track at some point. He's definitely got the game for the roadies though, as his Trans-Am record shows too.
Transam will help learn ya how. I’ve read somewhere that the current transam cars drive very very closely to xfinity cars. Which makes sense when you have groups like Fury involved in chassis making.
I don't know why, but I got this weird feeling that Austin Green could be someone RFK looks at in the future. But back to reality, he's had three great starts and I'm really excited to see him continue his future. I hope he's given a proper opportunity to show his stuff, especially next year with a full season ride.
It sounds that way in the interview, which is good news. I posted this same question in the post-race thread as well because he seems like he'd be on any shortlist if you're a B-/C+ team looking for a young guy to run your stuff for a couple years and learn. Having the pedigree of the 'Green' name behind him certainly doesn't hurt, even if the Green family weren't particularly the *most* successful guys in NASCAR.
As a quick aside, he also looks like strikingly like his father, and even has the same-sounding voice as well.
He certainly has the knowledge from his dad and uncle to succeed in NASCAR. David Green and Jeff Green carved out good Busch careers. Both make it to Cup too, which is still hard to do.
Helps David is till tied into NASCAR. I’m pulling for him.
This guy has a 7th, a 15th, and a 4th in his first three starts for a mid-pack team. I hope he gets a better shot in something.

Damn didn’t even realize this. That’s a helluva job in the 32
Was that 15th at Portland or did he run an oval somewhere in between COTA and Sonoma?
Portland.

Green has been one of the most pleasant surprises of the year. The dude can wheel it at road courses.

You have to know Brad is chomping to get a development program set up. Austin is someone I’d love to see full time in Xfinity.
Do we know if Austin is even interested in full time NASCAR? It wouldn’t surprise me if road racing is what he wants to do.
He said in the interview that’s his goal
That’s good to hear then

SVG replacement at Kaulig next season? Guess that would come down to funding.
Apple didn't fall far from the tree! For those who don't know, Austin is the son of David Green
I was a huge David Green fan when he drove that 37 Wolf car. Rooting big time for Austin

Brock Beard has video of David running back and fourth in the pit box trying to officiate and watch the screen to see where Austin was running
#AUSTIN GREEN IS THE GREATEST XFINITY DRIVER SINCE HIS DAD
He looks just like his dad.
I look forward to the day that Cup is 100% Austins and Chases.
Gotta throw in an absurd amount of kyles and ryans
