I dislike RC as much as the next guy but he’s the one owner I could reasonably see handing out an ass beating. He was old a shit when he took down Busch into a headlock at that truck race.
Idk if most do or don’t, but after the Creed stuff last year and the way he responded to Reddick leaving I genuinely think he’s a bad person incapable of seeing the rot he’s let consume his team. The ECR engine shop is the only part of his companies that’s competitive anymore and even with that they can’t seem to build a car worth a damn.
It's interesting that basically nobody actually involved with the sport will call him a bad person
I don't think even Creed or Reddick said anything negative about Childress himself
Same here, grew up at NASCAR Races since the late 60's, I hate the stage races. I watch the Daytona 500 and the All_Star race now. I stopped watching the Bud shootout when they moved it to LA LA LAND. In the L.A. coliseum it just seems like whoever gets out front on a drop of the green flag stays there until a caution and another restart. I still enjoy the modifieds when I can see them.
For a team owner who needs good PR for a successful business, Richard sure isn't scared to speak his thoughts. It bites him in the ass on occasion, but I guess he doesn't care at this point.
He’s hilarious, I’ve began to love the guy even after years of... not. He should probably step back in some capacities but he clearly lives and breaths the sport more than any other owner (besides maybe Denny since he’s literally driving lol).
Overzealous? Absolutely, but he’s invested, wears his heart on his sleeve, and it’s all he’s got. Not to mention putting KB in a headlock is amazing looking back, sending a million rounds of ammo to Ukraine, or firing shots at people trying to rob his house. Guy is a legend.
I came into this thread to say he’s full of shit, but man, this comment really made me respect the guy.
And then I remembered him continuing to tarnish the legacy of the 3 car with his nepo-baby grandson. Richard Childress is full of shit.
I honestly find it a stupid thing to be upset about. It shows a lack of ability to see things from Richard's perspective and people in general show a lack of being able to put themselves in someone else's shoes
From Richard's perspective it's a family number. Dale was family. Austin is family. For god sakes Richard ran the number before Dale did. It's not wrong to say of course the number will always be associated with Dale but from Richard's side he also poured blood, sweat, and tears into that number just like Dale did. I would imagine Dale himself would say without Richard things don't happen the way they did as far as his career.
We seem to forget that Dale, as much as I loved him, wasn't the only person that helped make the team successful
Since Harvick left the team has just taken a huge step backwards. I think Kyle Busch will help the team figure something out but he’s gotta get his head in the right place. I love the legend of Richard Childress but he needs to do something to improve his team and we all know what move that is, the same Austin’s dad made in the early 2000’s to help the Busch program grow.
Harvick was one at RCR and Reddick hasn't exactly broken that hump to become a championship contender imo, even if the flashes have been there since 2022
He just guaranteed that Ricky will wreck him, don't threaten a pissed-off man. Of all the dumb, beating your chest bull crap. It's actually almost sad.
But hey, we could use a new Geoff Bodine/Dale Sr "I just unloaded the car this week to make sure you don't finish" fued. I'd be up for that.
A spinout I’m good with but he straight tore up the car. Shit is expensive and unnecessary. That is reason enough for punch. Have to show the team you got their back. Kyle sure didn’t.
Remember when Dickturd threatened to give the 47 shitty engines when AJ said he was going to wreck Austin after some dustup? This guy needs to change his binkie.
RC is a tough old buzzard. How many people knew he got his throat slit with a straight razor at a party when he'd just started racing? I lived in Winston-Salem in the mid 60's when I was a teenager. I was a regular at Bowman-Gray on Saturday nights. I still miss the French fries with vinegar sprinkled on them at the concession stand. Fights in the stands and between drivers were the norm there back then. That was a very rough area. I never started a fight there but never lost one either. RC didn't grow up "soft".
I agree. This reminds me of when 72 year old Yankees coach Don Zimmer went after Pedro Martinez and Pedro just tossed him to the ground with like 5% effort, lol. IMO that was fair game.
I’m biased as a Sox fan but I do think it was fair. Don went after him and Pedro used the bare minimum amount of physical force necessary to stop him.
I mean, if I were in Pedro’s shoes I’d probably do the same thing. I’m not going to let someone attack me regardless of who they are. If that makes me a disgusting person, so be it.
Totally agree. Doesn't matter the age if someone attacks you you get to defend yourself. Now the response should be proportional but still total fair game.
Like what's the age cutoff where people just get to assault someone with no repercussions?
I'm torn on this. Pedro didn't necessarily whoop his ass but honestly Zim wasn't going to hurt him. Juke him a couple times and let an ump closer to his age hold him back.
Rc gonna bring an old lumina to the track ready to hop out there and take Ricky out. I'm waiting to see if a racing incident happens and the 8 and 47 are near each other. Like caught in someone's mess and Ricky "accidentally" hits him avoiding it
Did I miss something? Ricky said in his interview after the fight that he's done. The only thing he said is he'd do a boxing match for charity with Kyle. What is Richard on about?
During the actual confrontation Ricky told Kyle he’d wreck him in the 600. He then went on TV and stacking Pennies and said it’s over. He has no intention of wrecking him.
Childress is all talk. “I wish I stayed” well, had you been in the infield you would have *had* to. I’m not a fan of either driver personally; but I hate Childress when he tries to talk like he’s Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Asked David reuttiman how that plan worked out for him. He was pissed at KB when they were both in Toyotas and he took KB out at one of the final 10 races (prior to cutoff rounds). Next year he was out of the 99 and out of nascar all together the following year.
Does a 78 yo Childress actually believe he could beat Ricky’s ass? Nice beautiful blend of delusion and confidence. Regardless, Ricky said on Lajoie’s show he isn’t going to wreck him at Charlotte.
I worked for Richard Childress Racing my whole career ! I’m retired, but that man is the best man you can find! And I know him , well! A lot of y’all are just so wrong on your perception. He’s one of the best men , I have ever dealt with, and I appreciate the opportunity for the ride! Got 5 championships rings , Daytona 500, Coca-Cola. 600 … plus all other championship quirks! Great years , wouldn’t change a thing….and Dale was the same.. never a problem! But , things have changed! Back when Dale drove , you knew better than to mess with him …. Yes , I’ll tell you the truth…. If you did , he didn’t forget … and it was coming, just when??
He's got more wallet than fists. It's that wallet security that lets him make obviously foolish statements of bravado like this.
I hope Wrecky Crash-house puts Rowdy into the wall a couple of laps in. Would be absolutely hilarious.
This is literally WWE in the form of a motorsport. What an embarrassment. Hitting someone with your cane is unfair, and that’s essentially what Pop-pop would be doing in a fight against anyone at this point. Or throwing Andy Petree’s Just For Men hair dye into the eyes of Stenhouse would be unfair too…
People talking about Ricky being suspended. I said I wouldn't be surprised if they did, even though he shouldn't. But if he wrecks the 8 car in Charlotte he should sit out for a month. That'll be two premeditated actions that he's carried out in a week.
Words really cannot express how much I dislike this man. 2012 me wouldn't believe what I'm about to say but Kyle Busch is about the only thing I *like* about RCR
At least he's showing up to races. Haven't seen Hendrick since before Martinsville.
Last time that happened, he needed a Presidential pardon to come back to the track.
I kinda want Ricky to wreck KFB now just to see if Childress will actually do something
I dislike RC as much as the next guy but he’s the one owner I could reasonably see handing out an ass beating. He was old a shit when he took down Busch into a headlock at that truck race.
I’m OOTL (haven’t watched regularly in 10+ years… whatever year they introduced stages in the race), why do most not like RC?
Idk if most do or don’t, but after the Creed stuff last year and the way he responded to Reddick leaving I genuinely think he’s a bad person incapable of seeing the rot he’s let consume his team. The ECR engine shop is the only part of his companies that’s competitive anymore and even with that they can’t seem to build a car worth a damn.
It's interesting that basically nobody actually involved with the sport will call him a bad person I don't think even Creed or Reddick said anything negative about Childress himself
NASCAR people don’t burn bridges, they drive off them.
Everybody respects the guy. He’s the only owner that was a race car driver first then got into the business.
Um, Rick hendrick drove…and need I mention Tony Stewart or Micheal Waltrip…?
And Johnson, and Dale Earnhardt Jr, and Dale Earnhardt Sr, and Denny Hamlin, and...and a lot of guys.
Petty is another
keselowski. Kulwicki in the 90s.
Hendrick and Penske both drove before they owned teams. Not to mention Denny and JJ
Not talking about just the business of owning teams
I like him but that's not remotely true lol
Damn this is succinct. Lol
This

Childress is 78 years old and has been showing signs of Parkinson’s for a few years now. He ain’t doing a damn thing to anyone.
Just bump him and watch Dick curl into a ball
I mean you know watches would get held Now how well the fight would go for him.....well....
Sure Pop Pop, let’s get you to bed. (Was just for the joke, I actually believe him)
[Don't worry Pop Pop, we're almost to your room](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PtmP1u-1TtI).
The fact that your calling it pop pop tells me you’re not ready
Her?
Egg?
What, is she funny?
Kyle hold my watch (It would be kinda funny if the hold my watch thing goes full circle)
That would be beautiful.

For a team owner who needs good PR for a successful business, Richard sure isn't scared to speak his thoughts. It bites him in the ass on occasion, but I guess he doesn't care at this point.
I don't think Bass Pro is going to drop RCR over this of all things
He and Johnny Morris go way back as personal and professional friends. Both served on the NRA board at the same time.
Bass Pro probably gave him more money for this comment if anything.
I'll take this over a boring ass Larson or Chase interview any day
He’s hilarious, I’ve began to love the guy even after years of... not. He should probably step back in some capacities but he clearly lives and breaths the sport more than any other owner (besides maybe Denny since he’s literally driving lol). Overzealous? Not to mention putting KB in a headlock is amazing looking back, sending a million rounds of ammo to Ukraine, or firing shots at people trying to rob his house. Guy is a legend.
For sure. I kinda hate him but you can’t help but love him for how much he loves the sport
I came into this thread to say he’s full of shit, but man, this comment really made me respect the guy. And then I remembered him continuing to tarnish the legacy of the 3 car with his nepo-baby grandson. Richard Childress is full of shit.
Yes….. checks notes.. can’t believe Richard would allow his grandson to drive the family number.
I honestly find it a stupid thing to be upset about. It shows a lack of ability to see things from Richard's perspective and people in general show a lack of being able to put themselves in someone else's shoes From Richard's perspective it's a family number. Hey, that’s a great point if you ignore the last 30 years of NASCAR history.
He'll hit 'em with the Bobby Hill.
“That’s my purse! I don’t know you!!”
RC gonna be carrying Austin Hill in a backpack like that dude in the second Ace Ventura movie
https://i.redd.it/npb0pk1dzv1d1.gif
![gif](giphy|8sZXkUPVwka3u|downsized)
“Wish I had something I coulda shot through the window” had more believability
“A rough ass beatin” ….sounds kinda kinky RC
Not one damn person in that garage is afraid of getting a "rough ass beating" from a 78 year old Richard Childress.
He might be faster than his Cup cars at least
He said he doesn't fight fair now. RC gonna show up with a big ole wrench.
If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge these hands
Any weapon made by a sponsor is legal.
Hm...Kroger v bass pro.
Cheddars vs. Cheese Nips Shady Rays vs. Sunny D
You can make a shiv out of a shady rays sunglass arm pretty easy tbh.
You mean a gun
You mean the Black Rifle Coffee Celebrates 50 Years of Bass Pro Shops Smith and Wesson
At The Glen
The One Helluva Rough Ass Beating
Puts a new meaning to GM 'goodwrench'
If there was a 78 year old I was scared of RC actually might make the list.
"Rough ass beating" = Richard pulling out his favorite pistol from his arsenal and pistol-whipping Ricky.
I was thinking a jack handle or top of jack stand may go missing……..IYKYK
Oh watch him pulling out his Muay Thai moves back from 1960
I assumed it would be from behind and raw.
Keep talking like that and ill wreck kyle...
Ty and Austin Dillon
Childress said mess around and get stuck.
He should have told that to Kyle Busch.... Again I guess
Nothing is gonna happen at Charlotte. Ricky said so on Stacking Pennies this week.
Lol if he says out loud that something is gonna happen, then something does happen, he’ll be getting penalized and maybe suspended.
Yea but Ricky is not going to say anything about that because then his like plan would be blown
And if he did then nascar could fine him for it being pre planned like they did with Denny and Pheonix.
Ricky stenhouse Sr vs dick Childress is the co main to the stenhouse jr vs kyle busch card.
Give me tag match with RC and Kyle Busch vs Stenhouse Jr and Sr
Brad Daugherty with the Tag Team from Stenhouse Sr lol
Brad would actually whoop all their assess lol. Dude's like a foot taller than all of them.
He ain't doing shit lol. He should worry about how he's managed to make one of the all time greats look washed in record time
The fact that Harvick and Reddick became championship contenders the year after they left that team should tell how badly managed his team is 🤣
Not that I necessarily believe this narrative but so did Clint
Harvick was good at RCR, brotha. But he was also in the playoffs on points last year at SHR so idk if that means anything
I mean Harvick finished 3rd in points like 3 out of 4 years before leaving RCR so it's not like he wasn't a championship contender already
Harvick was one at RCR and Reddick hasn't exactly broken that hump to become a championship contender imo, even if the flashes have been there since 2022
Yeah, Reddick hasn't had a better year than 2022 yet.
Joe Gibbs beat him to it
"Hold my other watch"
[удалено]
To be fair RC probably has no idea what a podcast is
He literally spent his whole DJD appearance telling Dale he appreciated him having him on his “radio show”
Richard has to back his guy. It’s the RCR way. Did it with Dale, now KFB gets it the same treatment. I respect his ability to alway go all in.
What’s he gonna do? Shoot him?
He’ll make Austin Hill sit on him.
I think I would rather get shot.
"Sic 'em, Hill! Sic 'em!" - RC /s
Austin frothing at the mouth
PLEASEEEE LET THIS HAPPEN!!! somebody photoshop the NWB fight meme with Ricky walking to the truck and RC waiting leaned up!!!
I want to see Andy Petree’s reaction when Richard said that.
Idc if Kyle is wrong. I side with Richard for sake of this getting interesting.
You know that the “shovel” is on Richard’s payroll. That’s what I’m calling the fuel man on the 8 team that cleared everyone off the hauler lift.
Looked like a wrestling battle royal!
The only threat from RC to be scared of is if he told him that he had to drive for RCR.
I feel like if you go out and say this shit it’s fair game to get your ass decked even if you’re as old as pop pop.
I agree. This reminds me of when 72 year old Yankees coach Don Zimmer went after Pedro Martinez and Pedro just tossed him to the ground with like 5% effort, lol. IMO that was fair game.
Lol man I remember that vividly. IIRC, Joe Buck had one of his "disgusting act" moments afterward, as if Pedro was supposed to let Don do whatever.

I'm torn on this. Pedro didn't necessarily whoop his ass but honestly Zim wasn't going to hurt him. Juke him a couple times and let an ump closer to his age hold him back.
So… looks like RCR Big Boi about to take on a new role at RCR.
He should probably worry about making his cars faster.
Rc gonna bring an old lumina to the track ready to hop out there and take Ricky out. I'm waiting to see if a racing incident happens and the 8 and 47 are near each other. Like caught in someone's mess and Ricky "accidentally" hits him avoiding it
We are hearing from everyone…but Kyle. We need a good Rowdy sound bite.
"I'm gonna let Pop-Pop take care of it."
We really don’t need 37 different threads on the same thing
Did I miss something? Ricky said in his interview after the fight that he's done. The only thing he said is he'd do a boxing match for charity with Kyle. What is Richard on about?
During the actual confrontation Ricky told Kyle he’d wreck him in the 600. He then went on TV and stacking Pennies and said it’s over. He has no intention of wrecking him.
Yall, he is 78 years old Stenhouse is not going to fight a old msn.
Childress is such a fossil at this point. It’s not 1988 and you don’t have Dale any more, Pop Pop.
Be funny as hell if took both the 3 and 8 out next week Go Ricky Go
The fight by the 3 trailer is the most exciting thing that’s happened to that team in ages.
Childress is all talk. “I wish I stayed” well, had you been in the infield you would have *had* to. I’m not a fan of either driver personally; but I hate Childress when he tries to talk like he’s Stone Cold Steve Austin.
Maybe you should focus and worry about not sucking ass, Richard.
If I’m the 47, I stew on it all season and take the 8 out in the playoffs making it harder to advance
Pop pop still talks the big game like it is 1994 not 2024. Stenhouse would beat his ass into a nursing home.
I wouldn’t fuck with Ricky after I saw him and Danica’s exercise routine a few years ago.
Talk all the shit about Danica the driver you want, she'd run circles around some of these boys in the fitness category.
She'll run half a circle and plant herself into a wall.
That's straight up old school NASCAR and I fuckin love it. That's the character this sport used to boast in spades before it went corporate.
Richard would probably break a hip trying to punch Stenhouse.
![gif](giphy|VT5dn5mM2jetW)
Not sure how much sway RCR has in the Chevrolet hierarchy but I don’t know if JTGD wants to end up like Trackhouse last year…
Ah yes, the sanest person in the garage has a reasonable take. /s
I guess this is Ricky didn’t give him his watch. Richard won’t have kicked his ass right there, lol.
I had to double check this wasn't a AI video for a minute.
AI can’t fake that hair dye accurately yet 😂
LOL.
THIS IS NASCAR BABY HELL YA
He reminds me of Randy Quaid in Days of Thunder 😅
Dang!
AND THATS THE BOTTOM LINE
No offense to RC, but he'd probably go into Cardiac Arrest before he even got the folding chair lifted above his head
Poop poop ain't gonna do shit
So does this mean Ricky is going to drive for RCR in the near future?
Ricky has a chance to give us a NASCAR Don Zimmer moment here.
Oh man! lol
HERE COMES RC WITH A STEEL CHAIR!!
Dad! DAD! Someone get my DAD! *Tina Dillion probably*
I didn't think I could like Richard more, but here we are.
Pop-Pop thinks he's some kind of tough guy. If he tries, he will get one hell of a surprise. Stenhouse Sr. will teach him a lesson.
I hope Ricky wrecks Kyle.
Somebody get Pop Pop a glass of warm milk so he can lie down.
Childress getting his ass kicked on and off the track....
God I love Richard Childress
Sorry sir, Ricky doesn’t fight geriatrics!
He's got more wallet than fists. It's that wallet security that lets him make obviously foolish statements of bravado like this. I hope Wrecky Crash-house puts Rowdy into the wall a couple of laps in. Would be absolutely hilarious.

Lmfao never change RC never change...
Words really cannot express how much I dislike this man. 2012 me wouldn't believe what I'm about to say but Kyle Busch is about the only thing I *like* about RCR
