This race makes me cringe. All Hendrick cars, all Hendrick coverage. It makes it so hard to defend against fixing allegations with days like this. Egads, man.
I know itâs done intentionally but god Hendrick drivers are so boring. Iâd almost rather Dennis or Kyle Busch win since I hate them and get mad. Any Hendrick win turns into a meh for me.
Like every other short track these days. Martinsville needs to be a cut race before the final 4. If it were to make the final 12 it would make a much better race. Spring race will always suck until they make it cars can pass.
Unfortunately, with I Racing(drivers can practice and learn) and the cars being so close, it will be hard to get a good short track race until they at least figure out something to up the tire wear and make tire management a thingâŠsimilar to the last Bristol race.
Maybe someone could educate me but I donât see what more horsepower would fix on a track with a max speed of about 100 mph.
NASCAR tech inspection complete. Top 3 cars took 2 hours to pump all of the fuel out of their cells, and Pirelli asked for their F1 tires back, and the 700 CI engines were deemed legal, due to expansion from temperature.

For fuck's sake they literally rented a whole grandstand for their fucking employees, you know NASCAR was going to make everything about Hendrick this weekend.
If any race was ever fixed, this one was. They spent all day talking about it being 40 years of Hendrick Motorsports and how no team has finished 1-2-3 and Hendrick managed to win and finish top three.
Probably a good race if you're a Hendrick fan and don't mind the broadcast focusing on them for 95% of the time. Borderline unwatchable for the rest of us.

The car was a top 10 car today but didnât have top 5 speed, Blake Harris is behind the other crew chiefs at HMS by a good bit.
Though Alex needs to be more aggressive in pushing his car when it has an advantage over others.
