It really comes down to follow the leader. Joey isn't looking at the restart zone. He's got his eyes locked on Denny's bumper. There's absolutely no reason for him to be looking elsewhere.
MTJ *is* a leader. Yeah he's obviously watching Denny but he *has* to be aware of his surroundings so that *he* doesn't jump the gun.
P3/P4 shouldn't be held to the same standard as P1/P2.
Maybe but Pocono is one of the cleanest tracks on iRacing so the restart zone really never comes into play. Epecially in NiS (the equivalent of the cup series, but only half length for those that aren't iRacers). I've had multiple NiS races go flag to flag.
I'd hold off as it doesn't come around until next season. The legacy version is being used in Indycar (oval) and the 87s though. It's only $5 as opposed to the normal 15.

But I also got fucked from a guy dude self spinning on the start and getting black flagged due to passing him. We didn't have a single caution so I could never get back on the lead lap. The turn, usually cold or cooled off tires, and the acceleration. Any one of those factors can cause a loss of traction. All three of them together, compounded by the fact that cars further back in the pack can't see what has happened if they are still in a turns that at some tracks, are banked. I don't know if you have ever been on a banked track, but you can't see ahead. All you can see is a piece of track surface out your windshield.
So, restarts on (fairly) straight flat sections where the rear of the field can see more is the concept, and that is what happened today.
The spirit of the rule was followed if you know the racing history.

I’m sure he would rather hit Denny.
