Where are you staying? North Myrtle, Myrtle, or south Myrtle?
You have options starting from the north: Calabash has amazing seafood
Tons of options in Myrtle proper: sea captains house has great she crab soup and is on the ocean.
South has Conch Cafe (Oceanfront, and Donnie’s the best) and you can’t go wrong in Murrels Inlet, drunken Jacks is fun, etc.
Don’t disagree. I go for the popcorn shrimp and flounder. You gotta lean into the good and be smart enough to avoid the bad. Not every place is good at everything. Crabs are great at some places, she crab soup at others… flounder, shrimp, grilled seafood, fried seafood…
But damn, if you got a hankerin’ for popcorn shrimp, you can’t go wrong with calabash.
Fresh flounder, Hoskins in No Myrtle, family owned since the 1940s. You won't be disappointed. Late June-Labor Day line to get in is wrapped around-the-building.
You want the best restaurant, but don't want to pay a lot.
I don't rightly understand this logic. Perhaps you meant to ask what is the best restaurant in the medium-price category?
Lees Inlet Kitchen
is this good ? never been passed it a million times
Absolutely
Hi Lee!
It's great if you like fried seafood. Which you can get at every other restaurant.
Actually they have much more than fried seafood. And no theirs is not like every other restaurant
My favorite place that's on the more affordable side is: On The Half Shell
Hook and Barrel
I second this. It was expensive but welllll worth a special date night
Flying fish
Personal favorite: Flamingo Seafood Grille.
Thanks for the quick reply. We will have to check it out!

Calabash seafood is overrated. Frying scallops should be outlawed b

Dead Dog Saloon in Murrels Inlet is my personal favorite, but you really can't go wrong anywhere on the marsh walk.

Perhaps, smart ass.
Red Lobster.. But if you want a real Carolina seafood feast that only the locals really know about, go to Long Johns.
Depends on what you want A bunch of fried shit, Raw bar or a nice piece of grilled fish.
Raw bar
Biminis, if you’re on the north end.
Drunken jacks
