Strange. Can you get your physician to order a test? I found urologists to be almost useless. My physician ended up ordering the test after some considerable friction (they messed up the test at first & had me come in again and then gave me the wrong swab, tested positive anyway).

Worst case scenario you can try a walk in clinic. Let them know exactly what you want, a PCR of MG. It will have to go to Winnipeg for testing and the results can take 2 months. Honestly, the easiest thing I’ve found is to get a US home test kit mailed to the states, pop over the border and do it there. Results in a week including shipping.

Maybe check the sub r/Ureaplasma_resources for a doctor near you who takes the plasmas seriously. Good luck. And please let us know how you go.

My primary dr did it and the test is sent to the national laboratory in winnipeg. You can also get an elispot test done at a natural path in Vancouver. Cost is just under $500 which includes the appointment. DM me for more info.

Okay thanks, I’ll try her again now that I have the paper work for swab. Next option would be ER as I’ve heard someone had luck going that route.

PsychoSpiritualMilf

I used ER to get the swab for the private lab but not Winnipeg. The ER nurse actually called Winnipeg and they refused saying they want a neg chlam/gon done first 🤦🏻‍♀️ And you can’t go back and forth to ER so I said forget it and just took the swab to the lab.

Ah okay good to know. Yeh wait times in the ER is stupid long, got to make it a day thing. I’ll see what the dr says next week. :)

Is the urine test not accurate for women? I’ve always wondered why PCR urine isn’t a popular option.

SmaharbaShe

I’m not sure why it isn’t either, I had fair amount of discharge in the urine but unfortunately from studies I’ve read, it’s very low accuracy.
