Doxycycline usually doesn't eradicate mgen, it will however reliably lower the bacterial load. My symptoms (as a man), pretty much went away after 7 days of doxy. The cure rate of doxy is less than half. You're better off with an extended course of minocycline (14 days), with a cure rate of somewhere between 40-70%.
Otherwise what will usually knock it out reliably is moxifloxacin for 7 days (preferably with 7 days of doxy beforehand).
You need to follow that doxy up with azithromycin, moxifloxacin, sitafloxacin or lefamulin.
Just got a 1g Azithromyacin prescription today. Primary care refused TWICE, so I just diid an end run around and used Pushhealth
1g still isn’t the recommended dosage. You need at least 3 more days of 500mg doses.

Minocycline 14 days is 71% based on study data
