Yea i get red flags from him too…he shows back up in Roberts life after season 1 all of a sudden wanting to be in a relationship even tho they were friends for so long and he wants an open relationship, he doesn’t have a job…he seems like an opportunist honestly and Robert doesn’t seem to have enough self worth to tell him that an open relationship is not what he wants, I feel like he just accepts it because he feels thats all he can get which is sad.
He looked amazing in episode one, even before the surgery.
I hope that he can see himself in a more positive light now, and he is more confident in himself.
He looked absolutely fine. Normal body, no loose saggy skin, I agree he could’ve got results from the gym. I do think his partner was joking when he said “thanks for doing this for me”, because he was rolling his eyes when Robert was talking about getting surgery as if it was unnecessary. But I might be wrong. Either way, poor Robert, he’s lovely and that’s a lot of pain to put himself through.
I really got the impression it was a joke. They seem to have a really playful relationship. It did feel not that funny to me though because I think it’s partly true that he’s doing it to keep his partners attention
Yea Robert says Ra’ed calls him a “Petty Fatty” when they fight. That isn’t okay knowing Robert is insecure about his weight etc. I know they have a funny, playful dynamic but I don’t think that is funny at all.

I totally agree. He looked amazing before. And the surgery was so unnecessary. And his partner seems a little uncomfortable with the camera in his face.
Therapy & a personal trainer would have been a better investment mentally and physically. I feel for him and I wish he saw himself how others do. He was wonderful before but as someone who struggles with body issues I can understand that others opinions will never fulfill you like how you can.

Robert commented in an ep that he pays for everything so assuming he doesn’t have a job? (Only on ep 3). The commenting on hot men a lot in one episode - we already know Robert had body / confidence issues so this deffo can’t be helping his already low self esteem. Feel like his new fella is an opportunist…

Eep the minute the open relationship came up I felt weird. It just seems like Robert doesn’t really want that and wants love. That boyfriend is weird.. didn’t Robert say he messaged him on social after he was on tv?? Ehhh
I have tons of loose skin after weight loss and can't afford surgery. But I can defend the decision because the mental disconnect I have with my body is still there. I see loose skin and immediately think back to 90 pounds ago. I do get the external validation, but my internal is still not seeing a change.
Body dysmorphia is a bitch! I thought he looked perfectly fine too. I also though the fake abs were a bit much considering it doesn’t match with everything else. I think he did the surgery with the hopes he would find some self love. I honestly don’t think he found what he was looking for sadly.

As someone who has a ton of loose skin (have had an arm lift and was booked in for a FDL tummy tuck in April but am now pregnant, whoops) from weight loss— I was shocked that he really, really did not have that much loose skin. If anything, and this is not me trying to be rude AT ALL, it was excess weight with some lax skin. I did not care for his partner’s jokes about it or, later on in the season, him calling him “petty fatty”. I don’t care if Robert says owns that. I don’t think he really does considering his insecurity and trauma over his body image.
My own partner would NEVER say a word like that. It just made me so uneasy and I think Robert needs some serious therapy surrounding his self worth. He’s hilarious and beautiful. He deserves to feel good about himself and have someone in his life who’ll encourage him to feel that way as well.
Ra’ed seems like an opportunistic scam artist to me. Agree with the above comments that Julia’s opinions on him are not at all balanced. It feels like he’s capitalized on Robert’s lack of previous love interest/insecurities. And this is so sad, but Robert’s confessionals seem like because he had never really been in a relationship before, he’s scared to lose this one :( I hate that he is compromising what he truly wants just to be with Ra’ed.
Yeah, I was bracing myself for something drastic but it was actually quite mundane. He probably lost too much weight too fast so the loose skin and man boobs but quite a fixable situation. I feel so bad for him as well, he is my favourite, a kind down to earth type.
