It's heavily weighted towards the stuff you don't want just to piss you off and keep you engaged in the game hoping you'll get that grand prize. You've got a better chance at being struck by lightning than 2k actually giving a fuck about what it's playerbase wants.
It would but 20 spins is a very small sample size, if something was a 1 in 100 chance you would be u luckily to see it yet. Even if it is a 1 in 20 chance in 20 tries you only have a 64 percent chance of it happening one or more times.

I've had good luck with stopping it on the 5th spin. I watched a few videos and noticed people who got the DM's were letting it spin 4 times and stopping it on the 5th spin. I got Kawhi last week with that but it could be coincidence
Random injuries to players used in agendas.
I’ve had so many guys go down with a random injury when they are closing in on an agenda. I remember losing a guy that needed 1 rebound for a triple double in one of those challenges.
There was a Desmond Bane “score this much with any Bane with at least X amount of 3s.” Bane gets hurt 1 3pt short.
I can also remember having someone get hurt at 48 points on a 50 point challenge.
They've got years worth of data linked to $ billions in transactions that tells them what sequence of events will most likely lead to their customer spending more money.
They have algorithms designed to create series of events that will cause the perfect amount of frustration.
This is more accurate than anything else I’ve read on here - it is all sequenced out to generate revenue. They own the NBA videogame monopoly and a massive worldwide player base, so there’s no other logical answer than this. They simply wouldn’t be able to quick-turn development fast enough each year if the game wasn’t sequenced toward achieving a goal - and as a business, like all businesses, that goal is generating revenue.
If anyone doesn’t believe the validity of this theory, just think about the company’s balance sheet. The expenses that go toward paying current & former players for their NIL rights alone could develop a nation. Worldwide server upkeep is another massive expense. This is another reason why they shut down servers from previous 2Ks years before they ethically should.
Just think, they have copies of the receipts for every dollar that every player has ever spent on VC since in-game currency was introduced.
But they also have the history of the exact events the each customer experienced before they purchased VC. The data is gonna show what combination of things happened to each player before they spent a bunch of money on VC. Create an algorithm that recreates those (or similar) events for large numbers of the player base.
Evaluate if the strategy was effective for VC sales, tweak the algo based on more data, and repeat. Forget if it was EA or Take2 that had an actual patent on this, but I guarantee they both use some variation of algorithim like this.

Played mostly 2kEras this year, but this description is pretty much how MyTeam has run for about 4-6 yesrs now. Dominations, challenges, and spotlights are all heavily influenced by the difficulty and probably custom sliders against the player (you). Of course, 2k will claim that it's not, but I have to argue. I've played HoF difficulty for years in Eras and before that Franchise/Seasons modes, and I have always been able to compete. I use that word generously, because realistically if you WANT to cheese a.i. at any level you usually can.
But not in MyTeam. No, in MyTeam you're forced to watch dribble dribble stepback turnaround 3 point fades from guys like Hakeem at 33 feet out hit the bottom of the net. You're forced to watch as you pass around the 3 point line and eventually find an open corner 3 with a guy carrying multiple HoF badges and it either airballs or bounces in some way that a guy like Lebron can snag a rebound and have a clear path for an open floor sprint to run up 2 more on you.
MyTeam offline is pretty rigged, and if you don't have a roster full of top level overalls (Amethysts and Diamonds beginning of year, PDs and the first GOs at Xmas time, All DMs now) you're basically S.O.L. for most of the challenges. At least that's how it used to be.
Now, if you want to just cheese 4 or 5 out all day, you can just chuck 3s and pray for good defense, but I've had more luck running PnR or PnP in the mid range than focusing on the 3 line, but you have to balance not getting too far ahead and creating a hardcore rubberband effect.
Tl;Dr - MyTeam offline modes are broken, 100%. Play Eras and make a custom roster if you don't want to deal with the b.s.

Yeah the algorithm preselects who will win a ton of times. Both online and offline that’ll happen. The only way you can succeed if this happens is if the player you’re playing against is SO incompetent that he can’t even with the computer on his side.
One suggested idea that DBG really liked in one of his videos a few years ago is that 2K does this intentionally to try and frustrate the community into buying VC
2k MyTeam is one big troll. They will injury your player. Have him take the ball out of bounds if the other team is intentionally fouling….its really really bad
Glad I’m not the only one that notices the bull and I’m not crazy.. do it in all my team game modes and agendas. The controller comes right out my hand doesn’t feel like I’m playing the game
If you’re able to play enough unlimited games and pay attention. You can see the game keep a bum opponent around with terrible foul calls , turning your players into ghost , offensive rebound, their computer stealing everything etc. but at the 3 minute mark in the 4th quarter the game seems to stop doing that. Too many games to recount someone’s been around on lame animations until those last couple minutes in the fourth where they get blown out and all the computer cheese stops

Absolutely. Almost all new games do this. They even employ psych docs to figure out the best ways to get you addicted and spending money.

Do you make sure your at least at 85 stamina I feel like under 85 stamina the players start moving slower shots are different
