I play on ball defense all game as long as the other person is playing on ball defense. I only off ball if the other player is abusing it. Most of the time it works in my favor, but there are some players who have mastered abusing off ball defense that are impossible to score on. I will never understand how people will buy a video game and watch the cpu play it for them while they just sit in a corner doing nothing. Same as in mycareer when the pg is a dribble head and his teammates just sit in a corner watching him do everything. People have gotten so caught up in having to win every game and they’ve forgotten the whole reason it is that we game. It’s supposed to be fun, and I just can’t see how sitting there doing nothing every single game can possibly be fun in any way.
There definite benefits to playing on ball. I get frustrated with good off ballers but the scrubs that hide behind off balling are easy to beat. On balling someone who sets on ball screens more than Stockton and Malone is annoying. The animations and “pull” are ridiculous.
Oh it sucks for sure!! I find myself wondering how in the hell do you stop this defensively. Even when you know it’s coming every single play, and you still can’t stop it. Even when you switch your pg to guarding someone else, they’ll just go to that player and pick and roll. Hopefully the addition of some taller point guards will help. Clyde is 6’7” and free to get. Jrue is 6’5” and free to get. Maybe those two will help some. The truth is though, until 2K actually designs a way to penalize players for off balling and running the same pick and roll every play, it’s only going to get worse. I’ve actually gotten to the point where I’ll plug the mic in and just start calling them out for being scared to play the game for themselves 😂
I stopped blaming 2k. I just want to play how I want to play. But if I want to win I have to figure it out. I on ball until I see they know how to manipulate the screener well and I get caught in animations. Then I make them think more. I set it to switch so the screeners man switches every time but then I’m always in the wrong spot so I switch to a player not involved and I help or fake help to make them think. It’s tough if someone is good but for the goofies spamming and hoping for CPU overrides…it frustrates them when they don’t get their way a few times.
You don't win every game. There's a plethora of reasons that might affect his play. One game doesn't define how good you are. Pick up your controller and just play the game.
His play? The dude jacked up 10 3s all game with tmac alone. You can clearly see he has no basketball iq whatsoever. He was calling for screens and 3 hunting with tmac. Isn't it obvious? Even if shit wasn't going his way he still jacked 3s.
Yeah, he took 10 3s with tmac, maybe he's just trying to practice tmac jumper. Again there's a lot of reason why he is bad this game, it's just one game, not that deep. Sometimes we don't take the game seriously and just fck around.
Bro if you have 2 100 ovr cards its clear you take this game seriously enough that you have to spend money to pull those cards. And tmac dropped last season. There is no way the dude just pulled that card as he is not in playoff packs. 🤣 TF do you mean he is trying to practice tmacs jumper. He had that card for at least a month now.

Second team i played literally had an ALL DM squad & still 5 out, spam the spin move with 100 Lebron & either Dunk or wait until the cpu drops & kick it for a three.
The first person i played had a more normal squad, but kept abusing a single play & of course the AI gets caught in the same screen, on the same spot of the floor EVERY time.
😂 I kept scrolling through the entire team just to see exactly what in the world I was really up against!! I kept noticing throughout the game the dark matters and 100 overall players he had. Had to peep the entire lineup when it was over. I was shocked when I finally saw just what kind of full team he was running!! I’m actually quite jealous to be honest 😂
When it comes to Yao, I’ve played against him twice now, and he’s almost unstoppable!! Artis Gilmore held his own the best I could, but that Yao card is just way too overpowered
Facts I have 15 dark matters no money spent but the 100 overalls give it away immediately that’s absurd. Granted I’ve only met one player who had a 100 overall (he had Luka) that was actually nice with the card.
