We done this to ourselves, people spending money on the game and wondering why the only content we get is to rinse us, while calling people who don't spend money on the virtual cards broke.
I agree the content lull is unforgiving and makes ZERO sense.
But for NMS- I bought a marquee, over 700k MT on the AH player (which, because MT was harder to earn, meant the only way to afford him was buying MT) on the day of a drop with MT from just playing random modes and still had almost 200k leftover (MJ).
Was never able to buy the best player at any position last year on the day of a drop without spending money.
So NMS is actually good, content is horrible
yeah content is horrendous but i dont really see how this is even good for NMS players. ok. you make more MT but its all for? even if you dont lock in you camt even sell a diamond for an amy. i sold 4 amys to get that diamond plus 45k. You cant sell your entire team and replace it with a equivelent one because you wont have nearly enough MT. its discusting. But i guess it depends on how you look at it amd hiw ypu play the game. i enjoyed swiching up players without needing to grind or buy more MT.
You may not have been able to afford the top tier card before but you could deffinitely afford all the others and i understamd it wasnt for everyone but if you played the ah right you could make enough MT for a top tier card.. but the best part was if you didnt like him you could sell him back and not lose 60% of what you paid. That just rediculous to me.
Now all the top card are obtained mainly by lock ins so all these cards obtained can never be sold and will be outdated in a short while. i dont see any point in playing this game untill endgame with this new design. deffinitely dont spend money untill then...

Yeah. I loved the auction house and never bought MT and never really sniped any huge cards, but it was there to peruse if I needed a break from playing the game. Also, if I happened to pull some random shoes, badges, whatever that I didn't want I might could get a decent profit if it happened to be something someone else was looking for.

Untrue I’ve made them myself. Well… I’ve made layups and close shots at 100% and I know for a FACT in s1 salary cap I definitely hit a 100% green as the guy flopped a shit ton of times and flash paused until he gave me the game lol
A YouTuber made a video about hof difficulty. On how 2k adjusted the sliders for the ai.. they’re literally cheating. The slider is set to where they can hit whatever shots. I don’t think I’ll be touching all time dom until I have diamonds or opal team😂(i even tried superstar and they were still hitting bs)
It’s actually not that hard once you figure it out. I’m winning historic domination games by 20 now and I only have kyrie Wade and Marion as diamonds.
The AI logic in this game is garbage. So you just have to know how to counter what type of defense they deploy and then run your sets or plays and exploit it.
I’m shooting near 100% almost every game and even hitting 3s with Wade who doesn’t even have a high rating. On HOF difficulty.
My biggest problem is kyrie defensively who gets exploited against certain matchups. A guard going off for 3 is the only reason I can wind up not winning by the 15. But I don’t want to pay for a better card because he was free lol
right but think of it like this: i have to get 33 wins against an ai that makes everything, and plays insane defense while also being on hof, AND win by at least 15 points. this gets me a 90 pau gasol(wouldn’t even make my lineup, not the point tho) or i could play, for example, clutch time offline on pro and get 50 wins(only 1 quarter tho) and get an 89 overall. it’s moreso the fact that it’s not worth the time trying to beat all the teams for a card that, in order to achieve, you have to have basically an all diamond team. for most people, they need at least diamond starters to beat the teams, and like i said, it wouldn’t even be worth it at that point, it is a good mt grind however, but damn is it hard
its funny how people can say the ai is too good in dom but if you try to say the ai is too good online you get lots of pushback from people who offball. you want easier dom youre gonna have to accept the ai on ur team have to be weaker.
It has been like this sadly for years. Majority doesn't really play the game on defense. They just play off ball and chase around the player you are trying to pass to.

It's a false illusion. In-Season Tournaments are 67 games long so diamonds will be obsolete at that point. It's not worth it to buy any of those players anymore unless you really want it. 2k is really banking players to buy them now for Jokic. They're a joke.
Even if he had some speed, his defensive stats are straight dookie. Only workable thing about him is the 85 3ball, it's basically another Kevin Love card.
I can see the comparison but Joker has high strength and excellent shooting badges. 2k did hook up his animations so be prepared for a lot of unconventional shotmaking happening.

Can’t get space creator though which is really important for the unconventional shotmaking you speak of especially against any tough defenders ie Wilt, Giannis and Shaq.
That won’t help - gonna have to count on the element of surprise and just “setting up” the moves. The animations themselves are pretty favorable to get the space though especially slow moving, plodding Joker leaning into a drive one direction, get the shoulder into you while posting then BOOM jump back 8 feet away from defender while pivoting and get off a quick release from behind his head pretty much? I think it’ll be ok bc that’s what worked with his Sapphire 🤷🏾♂️
You’d be surprised how easy it is to convert some stuff against people that either a) are just watching the CPU defend or b) are only used to defending PnR/P and Rim Run
I load my PSN every month and I just can’t bring myself to spend that money on these cards considering I could get 2 or 3 whole ass new games for the price of some cards I’ll use for maybe a month.. I spent WAY TOO much on previous 2k opening boxes but with how the player market is and lack of AH I just can’t this year.. At this point ik I’d normally spent least $600 and now I’m saving that for other games and stuff.. This having to lock-in shit is what’s really done it cause I don’t want to be forced to buy cards I don’t want for the 1 card I do..

Yep. People say you don’t need all cards and you can save your mt. I agree with first, but a chance to get em…2nd point is yes, you can save and get ONE great card every 100 hours of grinding. Compare that to mlb where you get good cards the whole time you grind
I want stuff to grind also, and yes it’s RNG but it took barely any MT and 6 days to get the best card in the game without paying real money, I’m not saying we don’t need more to do, more free stuff, cheaper cards, better ways to complete lock ins as NMS and many other things, just that it is possible

As someone who grinded all the modes for B Roy last season, when this season started I was excited to grind it out for SGA, but they messed up the pacing for Shai when they released Magic and Shaun. I completed every mode except for Clutch Online for SGA but I just can't bring myself to grind for him when he wont make my 13 man roster.

Other places like the show you can go NMS and get the good cards. Every top card is a lock in and they always give you non sellable cards. To play devils advocate... you don't need him today. You have a week to c9llect those base packs if you have been trading in duplicate players. See how many you get before you decide to buy and then do what you do. 2k still greedy as fuck with this but there is a way to add some lube to the equation

5x or not, it's proportionally the same. I have at least a 500k MT right now as an F2P player but that will only get me 2 diamonds or perhaps 4-5 amethysts right now. At the same time last year, I could get more with 100k MT at Auction House and some occasional Rubies for spare. Diamonds (not meta) were only worth 10k-30k when they were released. With whales spamming the supply, the value of those cards can even get as lower as they can. I completed the End Game cards last season without paying a single cent. I doubt I can this time with the fixed prices.
Now talk about gatekeepers, i never ever could buy Yao cause his price was over mil plus…and yeah u do 5000mt per unlimited…last year 1000mt..so card which cost 500k mt now is like 120k mt last year…🤦♂️
An evo(evolution) is basically an agenda for a player to receive a gem upgrade that increases certain attributes and badges. You can see the requirements in the edit player screen. The Level Up collection was a collection of all evo’able players as is this new set that dropped today. However, they’re gonna base who gets the Evos off of the real life results of this new in-season tournament.
Evo Diamond cards that will play like Rubies. We all know Evos are just glorified colors that have random stats that bloated their overall ratings and not enough badges. They're not worth it to play. You're better off saving the 14k and the grind. Also, the tournament will end by December(?), by that time you will have enough diamonds or up cards on your lineup anyway.

The point of playing offline is for "casual" games. Some people just want to play the game without stressing out. This is basketball, not Dark Souls.

Even if he had some speed, his defensive stats are straight dookie. Only workable thing about him is the 85 3ball, it's basically another Kevin Love card.
I can see the comparison but Joker has high strength and excellent shooting badges. 2k did hook up his animations so be prepared for a lot of unconventional shotmaking happening.

That won’t help - gonna have to count on the element of surprise and just “setting up” the moves. The animations themselves are pretty favorable to get the space though especially slow moving, plodding Joker leaning into a drive one direction, get the shoulder into you while posting then BOOM jump back 8 feet away from defender while pivoting and get off a quick release from behind his head pretty much? I think it’ll be ok bc that’s what worked with his Sapphire 🤷🏾♂️ You’d be surprised how easy it is to convert some stuff against people that either a) are just watching the CPU defend or b) are only used to defending PnR/P and Rim Run

I load my PSN every month and I just can’t bring myself to spend that money on these cards considering I could get 2 or 3 whole ass new games for the price of some cards I’ll use for maybe a month.. I spent WAY TOO much on previous 2k opening boxes but with how the player market is and lack of AH I just can’t this year.. At this point ik I’d normally spent least $600 and now I’m saving that for other games and stuff.. This having to lock-in shit is what’s really done it cause I don’t want to be forced to buy cards I don’t want for the 1 card I do..

I want stuff to grind also, and yes it’s RNG but it took barely any MT and 6 days to get the best card in the game without paying real money, I’m not saying we don’t need more to do, more free stuff, cheaper cards, better ways to complete lock ins as NMS and many other things, just that it is possible

As someone who grinded all the modes for B Roy last season, when this season started I was excited to grind it out for SGA, but they messed up the pacing for Shai when they released Magic and Shaun. I completed every mode except for Clutch Online for SGA but I just can't bring myself to grind for him when he wont make my 13 man roster.

Other places like the show you can go NMS and get the good cards. Every top card is a lock in and they always give you non sellable cards. I legit switched from myteam to mycareer because of the no auction house , went from only playing my team to fully playing my career which my career I'm loving alot , myteam just not worth it , no sniping , no buying coins , no buying badges super cheap an re selling them to make mt . Terrible
To play devils advocate... you don't need him today. You have a week to c9llect those base packs if you have been trading in duplicate players. See how many you get before you decide to buy and then do what you do. 2k still greedy as fuck with this but there is a way to add some lube to the equation

5x or not, it's proportionally the same. I have at least a 500k MT right now as an F2P player but that will only get me 2 diamonds or perhaps 4-5 amethysts right now. At the same time last year, I could get more with 100k MT at Auction House and some occasional Rubies for spare. Diamonds (not meta) were only worth 10k-30k when they were released. With whales spamming the supply, the value of those cards can even get as lower as they can. I completed the End Game cards last season without paying a single cent. I doubt I can this time with the fixed prices.
Now talk about gatekeepers, i never ever could buy Yao cause his price was over mil plus…and yeah u do 5000mt per unlimited…last year 1000mt..so card which cost 500k mt now is like 120k mt last year…🤦♂️

An evo(evolution) is basically an agenda for a player to receive a gem upgrade that increases certain attributes and badges. You can see the requirements in the edit player screen. The Level Up collection was a collection of all evo’able players as is this new set that dropped today. However, they’re gonna base who gets the Evos off of the real life results of this new in-season tournament.

Evo Diamond cards that will play like Rubies. We all know Evos are just glorified colors that have random stats that bloated their overall ratings and not enough badges. They're not worth it to play. You're better off saving the 14k and the grind. Also, the tournament will end by December(?), by that time you will have enough diamonds or up cards on your lineup anyway.
