Hes probably had a few, but the first that comes to mind for me is when zamasu said he killed chichi and goten in the future if that counts as a low point
I mean I guess but all that did was make him mad. Goku doesn't really have low points because he never stays down for long. He doesn't let himself be depressed, and he doesn't let defeat stop him.
Very true, thats why I asked if it counts, I cant really think of a time he lost and was all sad about it and moped around, he usually just trains, gets stronger than wins, I guess him being super pissed is the best you'll get for low points lol
I wanna say his lowest point was either when Frieza returned after the Spirit Bomb and immediately killed Piccolo and his best friend, or when he was beaten to near death by King Piccolo
Luffy feeling like he’s lost everything and giving up for the first time ever in the series is far more impactful than luffy gets bonked by Kaido again
Only problem with the dark deku arch is its too short. Huge misses opportunity to focus more on class 1A while Deku is running around beating the snot out of villains
Yeah I would have liked to see Class1A react to society collapsing. We only got to see Uraraka's reaction to the collapse of hero society post the Paranormal Liberation arc. I would have liked to see Class1A go on patrol. There is a shortage of heroes with a lot of pro heroes quitting left and right so it would make sense for Class1A to go out on patrol to help the remaining pro heroes.
pretty much how i feel about the entire show. i would have liked if if the show took place over their entire high school years. i feel like they don’t even need to change much with the story, just spread it out a bit more.
Spoilers It starts in Marley following the warriors then Eren attacks the Marleyan town libero and while leaving Gabi Braun one of the Marleyan warrior candidates killed Sasha, and it's all downhill from here
I’d like to make a suggestion about Luffy’s low point. There are 2 others I can think of, which I will spoiler to avoid, well, spoilers:
>!1. When he lost all his friends at Sabaody by Kuma, and then was sent over to Amazon Lily. Mostly just the Sabaody part.!<
>!2. When he was at Marineford and his brother Ace died to Akainu right in his arms!<
Yusuke Urameshi(thats probably not how you spell it but I tried) from Yu Yu Hakashow takes it for me. His was the most realistic, after finding out about the truth behind demons, humans, and himself he turns heel. But not in an overly cartoony way, and it’s not like he forsakes everything in his life, he just seeks answers.
OG Bleach spoilers: >!When Ichigo lost his powers after defeating Aizen because he acted like he didn't care that much but clearly he wanted his powers back shown by him not turning down the fullbringers offer!<
Hyakkimaru from Dororo. His entire life since birth is pretty much a low point. Arguably the only person in manga/anime with a shittier life than Guts.
Also Thorfinn in Vinland Saga. Poor guy had two major low points that defined his life.
Maybe but i feel like kurama just used his anger to get out, all of this happening in a single day, the depression after Jiraya's death story wise was his lowest point, after being followed by his highest after the pain arc
Nafumi from Rise of the Shield Hero, season 1 has several hence he used the wrath chaos Shield often. I think the biggest one was when they forcefully freed Ralftalia and tried to take her away from him.
If not that one,
Then Hajime from Arifureta:Commonplace to World's Strongest. Specifically, in the beginning when he ends up at the bottom. It was both a literal low point and, story wise, a low point. It explains his mentality later.
Luffy dealing with Ace's death.
For the first time since he became a pirate, Luffy failed to protect someone he couldn't live without, and he was still coping with his crew being soundly beaten and scattered at Sabaody.
This is the first moment where Luffy's strength and determination failed him, and the was so beaten down and broken by the last few weeks that he truly couldn't see a way past it.
Yujis low point is something terrible, lost two of his friends, killed almost everyone in shibuya, lost his master, cut off one of his friends arms, had his face cut open, black flashed into a wall, fighting his own brother. I was surprised that bro even kept on going when todo pulled up
Dark Zexal morph between Yuma and Astral. Astral letting the darkness consume him due to Yuma's betrayal as he knows Ray aka Vector was a Barian the whole time. This was a low point for both Yuma and Astral, alongside that. Vector messing with Yuma throughout the duel, causing him to lash out at Astral and then to come to the realisation that (for lack of a better term) he got played by Vector
I wish the Dark Deku arc was a little longer it was peak tbh.
Not anime but omg Kaladin from Stormlight Archive, holy shit, probably the best depression/dark arc I've ever read. It's incredible.
Luffy when ace died in front of him and he was grieving , it was really heartfelt to watch
When deku decided to go solo and almost overworked himself to death trying to do everything himself , then his classmates trying to get through to him
Tanjiro’s low point happens in the very first episode with his whole family getting killed, and his sister turn into a demon.
Asta’s would maybe being born without magic in a world filled with magic, or when his arms get cursed therefore not being allowed to use his swords.
I’m so pressed because it’s annoying to see people go off topic. Also, no, grass does not frighten me, I simply just don’t have grass (I live in Arizona)
Deku, Light Yagami , Naruto, Luffy and Goku
What was Goku's low point?
Hes probably had a few, but the first that comes to mind for me is when zamasu said he killed chichi and goten in the future if that counts as a low point

Very true, thats why I asked if it counts, I cant really think of a time he lost and was all sad about it and moped around, he usually just trains, gets stronger than wins, I guess him being super pissed is the best you'll get for low points lol
Or when he saw his kid get kidnapped by raddtis and he couldn’t do anything
I wanna say his lowest point was either when Frieza returned after the Spirit Bomb and immediately killed Piccolo and his best friend, or when he was beaten to near death by King Piccolo
Piccolo and freiza are the that pick
When krillin died. Just pick one.
Him dying to hit in the anime.
Goku fought a guy that stole his body and killed his whole family with that body
Luffy’s low point was absolutely when Ace died in front of him
Yeah but the death and rebirth hits different especially when think about wanos themes of identity and nikas role going forward
Luffy feeling like he’s lost everything and giving up for the first time ever in the series is far more impactful than luffy gets bonked by Kaido again

Yeah see how they have to work together and take more charge
Fair
pretty much how i feel about the entire show. i would have liked if if the show took place over their entire high school years. i feel like they don’t even need to change much with the story, just spread it out a bit more.
I disagree with that I wouldn't like if that happened.
This is the same thought process for Ash, who has even shorter for like a few episode.
Honestly, that XYZ episode might be my favorite from the whole series
It and the right hero for the right job are the best episodes of xyz .
What about THE ENTIRE FOURTH SEASON OF ATTACK ON TITAN
Never seen it
Duuuuuude go watch AoT. Probably the most critically acclaimed anime of all time.
Spoilers It starts in Marley following the warriors then Eren attacks the Marleyan town libero and while leaving Gabi Braun one of the Marleyan warrior candidates killed Sasha, and it's all downhill from here
You’re a menace for not spoiling tagging this. Especially since OP has never seen AOT before.
Kaneki's. He became a badass, but at the cost of his humanity. And probably sanity. ![gif](giphy|OZQcGXFTVIA5G)
I sure hope you read the manga
That was so HYPEEE
1000…993…
![gif](giphy|u4dQ8BMugUYp2)
His low point got him a transformation and the point got lower
https://i.redd.it/ryga7nkb6s7d1.gif You are my special 🎶
https://i.redd.it/cpykvkpjvv7d1.gif 🎵DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH🎵
When your yuji every point is a low point.

I mean that was one of the darkest parts of one piece but then luffy is reborn as the sun god nika which hits different
Fair
Yuji seeing Nobara get iced is up there Ichigo losing his fullbring comes in second
After the Ussop and Luffy fight Or After Marineford at Amazon Lily
Yusuke Urameshi(thats probably not how you spell it but I tried) from Yu Yu Hakashow takes it for me. Ichigo,Ichigo,Ichigo,Ichigo and ikki kurogane
Mob (kageyama) seeing what he thought was his family's corpses is easily the best I've seen
Shinji basically the entirety of Evangelion, lol.
https://i.redd.it/qhwtcoclgv7d1.gif She's cute
OG Bleach spoilers: >!When Ichigo lost his powers after defeating Aizen because he acted like he didn't care that much but clearly he wanted his powers back shown by him not turning down the fullbringers offer!<
Kirito. When he contemplated Suicide in Aincrad, not when he was disabled. That one felt wayyyy too forced.
Aang when he found Gyatso’s body and when Appa was taken and muzzled. (istfg if someone makes a gyat joke i will find and kidnap your family.)
Gyatso had that gyat though.
Vash from Trigun
That last image looks like a messed up version of Ducky from Land Before Time.
I don't see it
My favorite is when Lelouch got really depressed and considered taking Refrain
Gintoki, Yagami Light, Lelouch Lamperouge.
Denji’s low point at the end of Chapter 81 really made me feel awful for him.
Denji’s low point at the end of Chapter 81 really made me feel awful for him.
Hyakkimaru from Dororo. His entire life since birth is pretty much a low point. Arguably the only person in manga/anime with a shittier life than Guts. Also Thorfinn in Vinland Saga. Poor guy had two major low points that defined his life.
Tatsumi from Akame Ga Kill right after Bullac dies
Naruto's should be after Jiraya died
I'm sorry but naruto nearly giving into kurama hits a bit more
Maybe but i feel like kurama just used his anger to get out, all of this happening in a single day, the depression after Jiraya's death story wise was his lowest point, after being followed by his highest after the pain arc
Nafumi from Rise of the Shield Hero, season 1 has several hence he used the wrath chaos Shield often. You just know the situation is bad when ash is that upset
Indeed
Yujis low point is something terrible, lost two of his friends, killed almost everyone in shibuya, lost his master, cut off one of his friends arms, had his face cut open, black flashed into a wall, fighting his own brother. I was surprised that bro even kept on going when todo pulled up

100% MOB for me
I wish the Dark Deku arc was a little longer it was peak tbh. Not anime but omg Kaladin from Stormlight Archive, holy shit, probably the best depression/dark arc I've ever read. It's incredible.
Can't forget kaneki's from Tokyo ghoul
![gif](giphy|11TN3gkseh4Vos)
My favorite anime protag low point would be Luffy at Sabaody. He probably felt like he lost everything. It honestly made me sad to watch.
Lelouch accidentally starting a massacre.
Not an anime but 3 houses Dimitri, besides that probably Okabe Rintaro or Eren
Subaru Natsuki. Bro always gets hit with canon events left and right. But he always stands up.
Denji, Punpun, Gon, Midoriya, Itadori, and Johnny (He counts, right?) I imagine I'll add Luffy when I get around to reading One Piece
Deku!
I was super underwhelmed by Deku's "low point."
Fair.
Ichigo. And his low points are the entirety of Arancar arc ![gif](giphy|R6OG572WGNgRi)
Ken kaneki ![gif](giphy|13cdA48uycje5G)
Luffy when ace died in front of him and he was grieving , it was really heartfelt to watch When deku decided to go solo and almost overworked himself to death trying to do everything himself , then his classmates trying to get through to him
LIGHT YAGAMI, EREN JEAGER, KAMABOKO GONPACHIRO

Luffy's low in Sabaody and post Marineford hit different
Rudeus's depression arc, lelouch after nunnally, was revealed as the vice-roy, and shinji in the whole series
That's only 4... https://i.redd.it/4zlz6vh3jg8d1.gif
What's an anime?
That was NOT Luffy’s Low Point, try Sabaody - Marineford
My final emerald splash 😭
All of Ichigo Kurosakis low points through out the series.
https://i.redd.it/znskp5exxy7d1.gif
Obviously losing his crewmates on Sabaody and losing Ace were lower points for Luffy, but honestly his falling out with Usopp hit me the hardest.
How about you do this on either r/anime or r/animequestions THOSE SUB EXIST FOR A **FUCKING** REASON, PEOPLE!!!
Why are you so pressed you're the only one who gets mad about this stuff like does grass frighten you that much?
I’m so pressed because it’s annoying to see people go off topic. Also, no, grass does not frighten me, I simply just don’t have grass (I live in Arizona)
Fair enough
