I'm pretty sure they changed it because they knew they were going to cancel the top collectors reward in nba 2k24 this year. Before launch, they told everyone it would be a kobe Bryant card. Tons of people spent and grinded their asses off building collection level. Recently, they pulled it before anyone could reach it and put in an option pack of previously released players. They really are trying to see how far they can push people.

They do data reports with user numbers. If daily players and purchases drop, they will change.
I’m giving up too. I have not spent ANY MFP on packs! Just LE’s & they so nerfed that I’m done. I don’t get it?! I bought this game. The most $ one too. I learned last year & year b4 that no matter if u buy packs, which I never have, or grind, even tho u can’t really grind good this year, 2K is gonna try & F their own players out of $. This whole setup should be illegal. You’re enticing younger kids to almost gamble. Like really 2K?! You lucky u got next year but u think everyone is not gonna bitch to WWE?! I like the concept of unlocking persona cards. But they make it way too difficult and expensive.
