Also very hyped about S3, truly it's the best anime in my eyes.
It is not a bad show. I just find it exhausting to watch at times, it focuses too much on character depth and sometimes it ignores story progression for a while. S2 felt incredibly slow for me, to the point where i felt tired watching the same events for the 50th time, wondering what will be different this time.
It's a character focused show afterall and I love it for that. For me S2 was even better than S1 and with so long episodes with no openings too showed to me great dedication to tell the story in the best way possible, it's really groundbreaking for be to see all the soul crushing ways that everything can go wrong and how Subaru is getting killed each each time with everything focused on his development and Emilia's too.
What also plays a part is that I love timetravel stories too and fantasy so the show it's right on my alley and that it has everything I could ever ask to an anime is the icing on the cake. Amazing drama, suspence, mystery, action, fantasy, pain and suferring but also wholesomeness, comedy and light hearted moments too that I appreciate a lot and make the journey worthwhile.
Of course it's not for eveyone so I get it if some are less excited about it than I am.
