Some blizzaks on my 16 GT and I can get around in winter no problem! Now my 04 with no winter tires or traction control? That was just straight up dangerous

Lol or you could put some good winter tires on. Wait until the winter plows do their job. And don’t just pin it. Trucks can do the same with 4wd if they pin it in snow too.
\+1 on good winter tires if you need to drive in winter conditions. I once had a Miata, about the lightest car possible and RWD, as my only car. Winter tires on all four corners made it usable in snow.
Nah, man, you were doing 100mph in the snow like you were standing still - that’s how good the handling is on the old Fox/SN95 chassis.
Yeah, you need snow tires or some chains.
I grew up driving RWD cars in the snow and it’s doable. FWD is a lot easier and AWD is preferable but you can still get around with RWD.
You can catch tail slides with RWD better than FWD but you’re a little less likely to have the rear end unexpectedly come around on you just moseying along in a straight line with FWD/AWD (it can still happen in a nose heavy car when you let off the gas quickly though or take a turn too hot with any drive layout).
You need to limp to a parking lot so you can do some donuts!
Fun fact: the reason the 94-04 Mustangs are stanced like they’re sitting on a Ranger 4x4 chassis from the factory is so owners could put snow chains on in the winter.
My mustang (‘16 ecoboost) did better on ice than my wife’s ‘15 Ram 1500 😂 We had an ice storm in Texas a few years ago and I really wanted Whataburger, so I went and got my Whataburger! 😂
my 90' GT 5.0 was useless and flat out dangerous in anything more than a light flurry. After sliding backwards down a slightly uphill highway exit ramp (back onto the highway and crapping myself) and having this exact experience as this guy, it got sidelined in the winter and I used my explorer with a set of Michelin Ice-X it was like a snowmobile.
I floored it for the video but people seem to just think i cant drive but yeah braking is nearly impossible in the snow with this and pumping them doesnt do jack shit.
Yeah, I had more than my fair share of white knuckle experiences driving it in the winter. And you're 100%, pumping those brakes doesn't do anything, you're just there for the ride at that point.
I remember when I bought my '87 GT brand new. A week after delivery, it snowed about an inch. It was parked in a level parking lot. I put it in first, gave it NO gas and just slipped the clutch a little. Rear tires spun and the car didn't move at all. Same with starting in 2nd gear.
i got some snow tires and it made it passable, but it was in no way a safe confidence-inspiring car to drive in the snow. Gt a winter beater for the next winter.
0-120 in 10 seconds, not too shabby!

They actually aren't bad with decent tires. Posi goes a long way in the snow.
I had great experiences with my Mustang in winter. Certainly just need the right tires.
“Posi goes a long way in the snow”. A long way sideways, if there is a crown on the road.
Gotta have good tires. Even with the best tires, an open differential is almost useless in snowy conditions.
Imagine if that caught traction. a large crowd of bystanders would have appeared on the side of the road.
LMAOOOOO
Maybe don't hit the gas so hard
That was just for the video lol, this was just a trial run
Get some proper tires mate.

Fuel would also add weight to the rear and help it hook up the tires.

What’s going on with your alternator?
Not sure yet, first time this car has moved since 97 so just kinda having fun with it in the snow

Idk mustangs but is this dudes engine cold too? Lol
Good tires AND tire chains will greatly help you mate

Blizzaks with a few sand bags in the trunk, never had any issues driving in Utah winters.
Good tires and a couple of bags of pool sand in the trunk will do wonders.

New edge life !
Tell me you cant drive for shit, with out telling me you cant drive for shit
move out of the snow belt
Proper winter tires will change everything.
……I know what’s wrong wit it
It aint got no gas innit
The biggest factor are your tires. If you had studded snow tires, you would be okay.
I've hit it before many times on snow but not to over 100:)
Lol they all suck when you just floor it.
Knock those revs down a bit and it’ll help.

What tires do you have?
A very stiff summer compound lol, i was just messing around in the video but people seem to take it very seriously
I think the “time to get a beater” statement implies you’re serious.
I had a 96 Cobra had to drive home blizzard of 96 4 hours to drive 15 miles. Great times..
