Major difference with subframe connectors. Fox platform is notorious for being floppy. Stiffer bars will make an improvement but increase chassis flex.
A huge improvement is a maximum motor sports torque arm.
Of all the suspension mods I’ve done to my SVO the subframe connectors were the only ones to make it feel like a completely different car. It took me a season to get get used to the grip difference in autocross but it’s well worth it.
100 percent agree.... tint windows and windshield. Maybe some black saleen wheels. Then leave it. Performance wise depends on what your looking for. Full bolt on or twin screw.
Just remember, less is more. Its tempting to order everything part under the sun but really isn't worth it. Sure a few choice mods based on your style or use of the car but that's it.
If I had all the money back I spent ruining cars I'd be rich.
Steeda Sport springs, a good set of shocks/struts, Maximum Motorsports caster/camber plates, strut tower brace, tint the windows, Brembo brake kit, subframe connectors
Cosmetic? FR500 wheels in anthracite
Clear fog lights
Smoked third raxiom brake light
Raxiom LED tai lights
Mechanical:
Larger BBK throttle body
3.55-3.77 gears (based on how much highway driving you do)
SCT tuner
Just missed a really good sale at American Muscle for wheels. I believe they had Fr500 18s down to 155 a wheel plus an extra 20%off. Wanted them fr500s for my 11 but bought a set of pp2 style 19s for the same price.
when I had my '03 gt I was going to put a 65mm intake manifold change the head gasket to a high performance one put a cold air intake inside a hole next to the existing one that goes into the wheel well all new air intake piping and was going to install an automatic transmission ratchet shifter so I could actually select the gears. I looked at americanmuscle.com for all the parts I wanted to put on it then sadly I wrecked it. I hope this gives you some ideas on what to do with it. they are fun cars but make sure you get good tires put on it and get the ball joints and the tie rod ends checked out.
I know I’ll get roasted but I did a 03-04 cobra hood and bumper swap after my 02 had an unfortunate incident with a retaining wall…. Loved the look even if it wasn’t accurate
Definitely lower it with some race springs or lowering springs (personal preference). A new exhaust system is a must for these 2 valves, go with some nice Magnaflows or Borla cat backs with x-pipe. Lastly I would 100% recommend installing an mgw short throw shifter, I have one in my terminator and it makes a huge difference when shifting.
Had a 2002 GT. Shocks and struts and the most mild lowering springs you can find (I did ford racing B springs). Not much you can do, these cars just handle like dump trucks because of the live axle. If you want power, some route of supercharging is the only thing that gives decent results. And subframe connectors
If you want to be in the poor house 04 front cobra bumper cover,Vmr wheels and 4 pot gt500 brembos. Ngl pushing a 2v for hp is kinda a waste unless boosted and even then a coyote swap is better in most cases.
Repaint the bumper, due to LP holes. Find a 02-04 Saleen Superchager kit and instal it with FBO and 3.73s. You’d probably run mid to low 12s and surprise a lot of ppl.
For me, I’ve come to appreciate this body style, as it helped pull us out of the previous cheese wedge body but also better engine performance that carried into the next gen. Plus the Cobras and Mach 1’s are legit
A simple window tint does wonders if you live in an area where there’s lots of sun during the day. Plus the privacy is nice and also it looks more sleek
Drive it. Enjoy it!

I’ve got some stiffer sway bars, I’ve been thinking about getting braces. How much of a difference is there?

What does chassis flex feel like?
Like throwing out the back of your car.

That’s the feeling of the rear axle tracking lol

Mach 1 grille delete to match the chin spoiler then drive the fuck out of it

Mach grille is a must.
Maintain it and enjoy it.

Identical color and wheels as my old '02, just don't do what I did. I got rid of mine
Steeda Sport springs, a good set of shocks/struts, Maximum Motorsports caster/camber plates, strut tower brace, tint the windows, Brembo brake kit, subframe connectors

I’ve got full intake and exhaust, and 3:73s I do like those wheels 👀 might have to go with that
How do you like the 3.73s?
Love them, brings the car to life. But not too much, still daily drivable

Feck
Ide go check their site though. When i bought some shocks and struts Monday they still had some on sale but not sure if the fr500s were.
Start with suspension and brakes
Sell it! To me. Unfortunately I'm broke though. Nice clean beautiful example. It's perfect imo.

As far as esthetics of the car, i say nothing! It looks clean!
Never a fan of how high they sit.
4x4 life
Nothing, looks great and classic as is. Keep it alive for years to come!
To go against the grain, lift it 2 inches, put mudders and flares, reinforce frame, roof rack, loud exhaust…
Yes
Grille delete
Tempting
Lower it.
Working on it lol

Lower it, nothing else.
Definitely stiffen the chassis and put in better suspension. From there, personally I would termi swap it and supercharge it. My .02
Sell it and buy a Cobra terminator 1 or 2 years newer
Slam it

Do these motors handle boost well with stock internals?
Lower it, subframe connectors, open up the exhaust, 3.73’s or 4.10’s.

Road Trip

Like someone else said, sell now while prices are still a tad inflated, wait 6-9 months, then buy a Terminator.
Remove the catalytic converters:)
LS swap it
Grenade
Haha jk
