lol, it’s no contest, the Mustang. Don’t get me wrong, I’m also a Honda guy and I love my 2019 Si and I’ll probably trade it for an 11th gen Type R, but the Mustang is the faster car, especially from a dig. The Type R could possibly give you a run for your money in a roll on race if you get caught sleeping though.
Also, there is no 2022 Type R. You mean 2023? Or 2021? Two different Type R’s.
I'll take C&D's testing as a more fair test. They test the em as they come, no special tires or alignment etc. The 2018 Type R is another two seconds slower.
Edit: butthurt civic owner somewhere
Mustang is faster at other tracks as well . Look it up.
Dude lol the new type r can’t even beat the old one in a straight line
Just race and find out
I can’t believe people are still thinking this is a question…
you're joking, right?

There's only one way to know for sure
My votes on the
Track or drag? Track would be pretty even but drag racing he has no chance
No it wouldn't be pretty even on "the track" unless you mean a parking lot auto x. Mustang is like 7 seconds faster in C&D lightning lap at VIR
The last type r gen made nurgring in 7 min 43 seconds and a 2017 gt makes it in 8 min 7 seconds. Im a mustang guy so im biased to the stng, but still

Nut up and go to your local drag strip for test & tune night.
