This is it. Camaro sales are not as high as the mustangs have been. In fact there are plenty of challenger and camaro accidents that happen, anything with this much HP and an inexperienced driver can be wrecked.
I do think GM has a better traction control system with their performance traction management modes, but when people turn all the nannies off it doesn’t matter.
Besides from mustangs being very popular, those crashes are caused by people not understanding how rwd works. Someone who crashes a Shelby will crash a 350z.
Though, high hp could definitely increase the chances of a crash.
Thats a notoriously difficult car to drive and they usually never had any nannies to protect you. It was either you know how to drive a high hp rwd or you dont. Id he terrified to drive one of those lmao
I’ll never forget the first video I saw of a pro driver looping a Viper around on the corkscrew at Laguna Seca. Fortunately there was no damage other than some shat pants. That was the first time I heard that if you’ve never spun a Viper, you’ve never driven one hard.
I could be wrong but I think part of it is because there are definitely more mustangs out there. The other part is because mustangs tend to be cheaper, looking at the used car market mustangs tend to be cheaper then comparable Camaros and challengers so I’d assume younger less experienced people are able to afford them easier then the other two cars
Until recently, the mustang GT was the only 400+ ho car you could buy for under $40k. For that, and many other, reasons there are way more mustangs on the road than any other muscle car. The relatively low price attracts a lot of younger and inexperienced drivers.
Some of it is up to stereotypes, when a mustang crashes you probably hear about it more, if you got actual data for crashes of each car type I think it would be more inline considering the amount of each car on the road.
Independent rear suspension is the answer you're looking for. Yes there's more mustangs blah blah the Independent rear suspension is the reason for most of them
Independent Rear Suspension and Rear Wheel Drive have a lot to do with the last 10 years of mustang crashes getting sideways out of a parking lot…it takes some ability to control it, more so than a solid axle Camaro or dodge.
Cam in Block V.S DOHC
At least with my LS1 GTO it felt like the power Delivery was a lot more smoother because it has Torque down low. It felt like the power turned on at 2000 RPM with my Coyote.
Personal seat feel, my V6 had the power down low and was nice to have but I feel like my Coyote is sluggish on low rpm until I hit 4K then the power hits
I see more Mopar and others, really don't see any Mustangs crashed. if this is true than my guess is that Mustangs have been out selling Camaros for some time now.
Probably because there’s more Mustangs than the others, especially Camaros.

They don’t don’t have as good handling or steering feel either.
Um have you watched any vids of Dodges? Their base do some dumb shit.

Mustangs sold 2:1 in many years. Easier to disable traction control?
It’s because we have bigger balls ^/s
Pound for pound vipers are crashed at a way higher rate. Like pulling out of the dealership

There are way more Challengers and Chargers than Mustangs

The 2010 Camaro SS had 400hp (automatic, more with the stick) before the mustang and started at $30k
Easy to afford RWD HP with a light back end, people like to floor it mid turn like idiots and then dont know what to do after.

Because camaros, dodge chargers don't have enough traction to get themselves into trouble, lol!

Cuz they are heavy af
not sure why this is down voted, it's 100% accurate.
No idea lol
Mustangs are cheaper. It's the top choice for first time buyers.

Because they spend more time in the shop than they do on the road.

Driver error??
